I think Mrs. Voidus will be making her first post soon, but she's been in a secret conversation with Twi that I'm not allowed to know the details of, so not sure exactly when. :P
Also wooo! 3000 posts

There are few things more ominous than secret GM conversations. :P

Also, I love Saccharine's first post! I wonder how she'd interact with Lightwards; would the professor of ecology get along with the biologist, perhaps even convincing her of his cause? Or would they get into a Claudius vs bird friends fight moments after meeting one another?

It bodes even less well that she's now spying on me. :P
I would love to see Claudius fighting off a flock of determined sparrows. It occurs to me that there are now 4 Epics who can control animals with varying degrees of restrictions.

True, but Aldo functions better with an audience anyway. :P

I foresee a four-way battle between Lightwards, Chimera, Saccharine, and Nighthound in the future. Why? Rule of Cool, that's why. B)

EDIT: Aldo's hypnotism scene would be easier to write if I actually knew anything about hypnotism.  <_<

I officially love Saccharine's first post. She is awesome. :D

Just use the magic of Google. That's what I do.

I know a little about clinical hypnotism but from what I understand the stage shows are quite different.
I'm glad you all liked Saccharine's first post, Mrs. Voidus and I will probably post in the morning sometime.

Maybe he dabbled in clinical hypnotism, researching it as a hobby? He also has an advantage over other hypnotists in that his enhanced observational skills allow him to pick on on near-imperceptible facial expressions, which could guide him through diagnosing and patching Phoenix's issues.

Anyway, I'm off to perform the arcane art of Googlemancy.

Sweet. Glad to have you back. :D

I found another song for Lightwards: The Happy Nihilist

And one for Ray to Nighthound: It's Not Me It's You

Thanks, I still don´t have as much time as I would like and my schedule is currently undergoing some change but I should manage to come on here each day.

Approved by me. ;)

Approved. :D "Be Prepared" is still his theme though--like every line fits perfectly. "My teeth and ambitions are bared"--"Listen to teacher"--all just perfect. :D

So at this point have Sam's legs been completely surrounded by diamond, or does she have a chance to avoid the spreading crystal?

Edge said it was approaching her slowly, so I think she has time to jump out of the way.

Well she's an agile young woman. I'm sure she can scoot her chair faster than Lucentia can grow crystals. :P

Finally ponified Sam and Revolution!

1. What creatures are for sale,

2. How much do they cost, and

3. Does Chi accept glitter money as legal tender? :P

I'll come up with a list, and I'm accepting suggestions. Lots. They cost lots and lots. Like a couple thousand each. Why, no, no he doesn't. :P

Nevaaaar! :P Sorry, I like SS too much to give him away just yet, he also wouldn't react too well to being sold.

I like the idea of him selling to other Epics, maybe he could do what Lightwards does and just tell the chimerans to obey verbal instructions?

It's actually a really good plan because he could still mentally command them himself, so if they're already in most of the major Epic bases in town he could potentially attack all of them simultaneously.

Oh, that's a really good idea. Just let them obey verbal commands but keep the mental and superior command for himself. He is infiltrating armies because they're buying the spies and traitors. I love it!

that'd be a lot of fun! I have to say, I think Chi and Nighthound have the best chances of winning, but probably Chi, because if I remember right, Nighthound has a small limit of how many animals he can control at once. Every time Lightwards raises one of Chi's dead Chimerans, Chimera will just combine it with another and take control.

What about TT? Does anyone have ideas for them to do? I don't know what they can do now that info is being sent to the Wackos.

The infiltration idea is really cool, but I will say that Lightwards is unlikely to fall for the trick. He's essentially doing it himself, to a much smaller and less useful degree.

Chimera is definitely the most combat effective of the animal-controlling Epics, but Lightwards has a prime invincibility and Nighthound very nearly has one. Eventually the pair of them could probably out-weather him. (The only way to settle the debate, of course, is by actually carrying out he battle at some point. :P )

I'm not entirely sure what Thoughttown could do at the moment. For that matter, I'm not entirely sure what Lightwards will be getting up to today.  Maybe Altermind could recruit a few minor Epics, or perhaps start setting up patrol routes for his armies? The latter could give us a lot of insight as to what life in Thoughttown is like.

Yeah, Chi wouldn't expect everyone to fall for it. But whoever did, would give him an advantage. And maybe he lets some random creatures run loose in the city, to be called upon at need. ;)

That's true. I wasn't thinking of those. Thinking about control, I think Chi has the most, but Lightwards and Nighthound could definitely wear him out. Well, actually, now that it think about it, he could absorb traits of strength and things like that from animals to keep himself going and healing fast.

Those are good ideas. I just feel like there's too many Epics already. They aren't too high on the power scale, but there's eight people to keep track of and ones stuck in a store. The patrol route idea is a good one. After Joe replies, I'll do that. I do want to involve the others as much as possible too though. Granted, two of the characters are mine and two others are pretty much that as well.

I may or may not have a hidden "Project Jurassic" that involves breeding the dinosaurs and setting them loose on Oregon, just because Lightwards thinks his group is most likely to survive the ensuing ecological disaster.

So the fight would just go on and on until Nathan persuaded them to stop? :P

I actually like how many Epics have been popping up... it casts the game in a new atmosphere. Having all the minor Epics picking sides highlights the fact that Portland is essentially on the eve of war, with battle lines being drawn with every new post. But I do look forward to the patrol scene. :)

Hahah will he put it into action? ;)

Speaking of plans, what have you come up with for Plan Amber?

Pretty much. ;) Chimera's strength would be the least powerful and he couldn't come back to life, but he would use animals to block himself from harm. So, not really sure how it'd go. It'd depend on if people ganged up or not.

That's also true. Oh. I know who I'll have them recruit. AntiSiege. Only I may change the name. I'll do both that and the patrols at the same time.

Thoughttown's armies also need a boost. They'll be fighting zombies, dinosaurs, the undead, toys (robots and soldiers), and Chimerans. So far, Altermind's are just regular people. I'll be looking for/a thinking of an Epic to help with that.

Edit:

Finch, Shatter mist, Understudy, and sonic assassin all look really cool. None of them would really boost the army though. I may have to actually come up with my own! ;) Unless,of course, Voidus has any ideas.

What if Funtimes whipped up some energy weapons and powered armor for them? She's been to Newcago, after all, so she could base their designs after what Conflux powers.

Project Amber still has some gaping holes in it, but I'll type up the basic layout of the plan in a minute.

You know, even someone trained to be as subservient as Nathan was has his limits. This is him stopping a fight (taken from page 40):

"Lightwards. That resurrection ability of yours is very nice. We're all sick of seeing it. Please tell your zombies to drop that RPG.

"Chimera. Your animals are terrifying. Please put that bear-dolphin-moose thing away; it's scaring the children.

"Nighthound. You're naked again. It embarrasses me. Put some pants on.

"I'm going to bed now. If you're all still alive in the morning, you're making me waffles."

Edit: If Altermind asks nicely, Funtimes will make him weapons.
