Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 What if Funtimes whipped up some energy weapons and powered armor for them? She's been to Newcago, after all, so she could base their designs after what Conflux powers. Project Amber still has some gaping holes in it, but I'll type up the basic layout of the plan in a minute. Ooh, I like that. Maybe that's part of the deal? And some dinosaurs, maybe? You know, even someone trained to be as subservient as Nathan was has his limits. This is him stopping a fight (taken from page 40): "Lightwards. That resurrection ability of yours is very nice. We're all sick of seeing it. Please tell your zombies to drop that RPG. "Chimera. Your animals are terrifying. Please put that bear-dolphin-moose thing away; it's scaring the children. "Nighthound. You're naked again. It embarrasses me. Put some pants on. "I'm going to bed now. If you're all still alive in the morning, you're making me waffles." This. This is hilarious. And Saccharine, with a couple birds is just sitting in the back watching the big boys battle it out, when the water She and Funtimes offer is poisoned and they all die. Lightwards for only a bit. 4
Kobold King he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Ooh, I like that. Maybe that's part of the deal? And some dinosaurs, maybe? Sure--Altermind and a few of his lieutenants can pick out dinosaurs next time they're at the Museum. How about some raptors? They're totally not bloodthirsty and waiting for an opportunity to slaughter those they're supposed to be protecting. Now the only question is "how do we keep Funtimes from putting MLP bumper stickers on all the mecha suits." And Saccharine, with a couple birds is just sitting in the back watching the big boys battle it out, when the water She and Funtimes offer is poisoned and they all die. Lightwards for only a bit. Lightwards, in his now heavily deteriorated mental state, vows never to take a sip of water again. Dehydration takes its toll, and a few months later he's spending all of his time locked in the Regway's old basement playing with Legos. 3

Sightline's going to get real tired of teleporting everyone back and forth. I'm going to have to do my research now. That's a futile mission. 2

There are a few Ice Age era mammals in the Museum that he could give to Thoughttown. They're not particularly well-adapted to the primeval sauna Funtimes made.

WHIO Alternate Ending #30? 1

I guess Electro could get there if he wanted. Foreshadowing? Maybe. So could Chimera. Oh those'd be nice. Saber tooth tigers?
Kobold King he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) You don't. You can't, so you don't. WHIO Alternate Ending #30? So I suppose there's nothing stopping Thoughttown's Mechanized Infantry from looking like this? Which is surprisingly awesome, actually. The "Lego Ending", right beside the "It Was All a Dream Ending," "The Bacon Ending," and "The Disco Ending." EDIT: @Mailliw, yep, saber-tooths and many other large and absurdly well-equipped mammals from the Ice Age. Edited September 3, 2014 by Kobold King 1
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I don't mind those suits. Altermind might have issues at first, but as long as it works. Do Cosmere books exist on this earth?

Which is surprisingly awesome, actually. The "Lego Ending", right beside the "It Was All a Dream Ending," "The Bacon Ending," and "The Disco Ending." Yes. Yes it is. In "The Disco Ending," Lightwards learns Nathan's secret and sends Nighthound to assassinate him. After a successful and gruesome attempt, a furious and heartbroken Funtimes strikes up an alliance with Möbius. They trap Lightwards and Nighthound in a pocket universe consisting of a closet filled with alligators and disco balls. It's....it's kind of a dark ending, actually.... 2

Do Cosmere books exist on this earth? In this world, Brandon Sanderson was the first Epic. His power was the fantastic ability to alter reality with his writing. By writing Steelheart, he created the rest of the world. EDIT: The Disco Ending is terrifying, darkly amusing, and somewhat reminiscent of Megamind. Terror-upvote. Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Really though. Can Cosmere books exist? Shardplate and Shardblades from Funtimes would be amazing for TT.
Kobold King he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Really though. Can Cosmere books exist? Shardplate and Shardblades from Funtimes would be amazing for TT. How would she make those? She's an engineering genius, but creating melee weapons that literally slice through souls seems a little out of her reach. EDIT: This post seems a little sarcastic when I read it now, but hopefully this little winking smiley will prove the innocent intent that went into its creation. I accept your terror-upvote and retreat to my dungeon to devise the epilogue: "Möbius and Funtimes go to Vegas." I'd need some info on what shardplate looks and acts like...I haven't gotten that far yet. Edit: Yeah, anything dealing with metaphysics is a bit above her pay grade. I guess she does have a knowledge of engineering, hence the floating museum. But does she have to or can she change something into something she's imagined?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 Does she need to know how? I guess she does have a knowledge of engineering, hence the floating museum. But does she have to or can she change something into something she's imagined? She has to know at least the basics of how what she's making works. Her powers are partly fueled through her imagination, allowing her to create complex engineering feats in a short amount of time, but to create something like the museum's floating mechanism she had to know what a device like that would realistically need. So to create shardplate, she would need to know how make a sword sharp enough to slice souls.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Considering the Epics I'm thinking of giving TT, at least one of the current ones may need to die. :/ I'm thinking Kathy or Al. But I don't want to take away one of he nice ones or ruin the Shipping. Edit: She has to know at least the basics of how what she's making works. TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) I have volunteered Scorch for the cause. And once again, as a good human being, I suggest Nighthound be sacrificed in place of Big Al. Edit: Mech suits and laser swords are completely doable. Kobold King he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 As long as this is still pages and pages in the future, I could put Aldo or Cricket forward to the cause. I have volunteered Scorch for the cause. And once again, as a good human being, I suggest Nighthound be sacrificed in place of Big Al. Does it count if Ray points behind Nighthound and yells "OMG it's CorpseMaker!" and then kills him when he turns his back? 4

I'm just wanting to downsize Thoughttown's Epics a bit. They'll be replaced with cool ones, I just don't know who to off. I don't want to get rid of anyone's characters. Cool! That's close enough to Blades and Plate.
Mrs. Voidus she/her Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) A question for Mrs. Voidus, how does Saccharine's animal power work? And How many can she control? Well I suppose its quite limited based on the size of the animals. For example 5 or 6 sparrows, a swarm of ants, 2 or 3 snakes, but not a bear. So nothing larger than... say, a Christmas pudding? Edit: Telepathy is how it works. Simple, but effective. Edited September 4, 2014 by Mrs. Voidus 2
