thanks, I thought if it almost as I finished.

So I had some thoughts while driving today:

Should Chimera be able to gift his trait absorption or mind control powers? I thought about it and thought that it might be too many powers, but really, it'd be just extensions of his existing ones. What do you guys think?

If he can gift, I thought of him joining with Black Fist, since he would be able to control the inherent evilness that came with his powers because of the gifting. Or, I originally created him to join TT to give them a power boost. Should I just let him be for now and see how it goes?

As far as the mind control goes, I think if Lightwards raised an animal and Chi combined it with some other animal, he would have control of it. If Lightwards raised a dead creation of Chi's, it would be his. If Nighthound took over Chi's creation he would have control unless Chi combined it. Sound right?

Kobold, how come Lightwards doesn't just kill his Warriors and raise them again and again until he is able to control them with his mental thoughts?

Would hearing a recording of Lightwards's voice control Warriors?

Do you guys have any ideas for what Chimera can call his creations? I want some nickname he can use. I've been using combo or hybrid so far, but I don't really like them.

Chimera can technically take over humans as they are animals, but he doesn't think of them like that, so he doesn't. What about the zombie humans Lightwards raises or the soldiers Toymaker creates?

Either way is fine, gifting or not. I don't think gifting is a power on its own; like you said, it's an extension of an existing one. So whether you want that or not is up to you.

Good questions about Lightwards.

He could call them Chimerans, or Chimerakind.

How about a poll? If he does get gifting powers, he'll probably join Black Fist. Those in favor of gifting? Against?

Thanks. I like those a lot. I think I might go with Chimerans.

Also, a wolf with wings? A bear with fangs? Rabbits with armadillo armor? Do you have any idea just how much Funtimes is going to love this guy? :P

;) I'm glad you like it. I'm having lots of fun coming up with them. Soon I'll talk about the lions and giraffes and lots of other animals. There'll be fish that are adapted too. And I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks. She's not quite as filled with villainous potential as the Trimmer, but she still sounds cool. :P:D

I like Phoenix's scenes, by the way. :)  Should we set up Aldos hypnosis solution in this scene? Aldo could notice he's having some troubles focusing, and after a brief quiz he might be able to get him straightened out a little.

Yeah sounds good. :)

Hmm... those are some interesting thoughts. Thoughts I hadn't really considered before.

The interactions between Lightwards' and Chimera's powers seem right.

As for why Lightwards doesn't simply kill his Warriors over and over until he can control them mentally... honestly, I don't think I've ever thought of that before. Usually I'd just shrug it off and say Lightwards didn't think of it either, but he's had these powers for years and that's exactly the kind of trick his twisted mind would come up with. So I guess we'll just say that by a fluke of fate, he got out of the habit of doing it. He can start it up again now that he's preparing for an earnest war with CorpseMaker.

The recording suggestion is really cool and brilliant. I would say yes, provided his voice isn't taken out of context to twist the meaning of his words. The Warriors all have a mild link with him and can understand the intent behind his words, which is how even the dumbest of animals like Claudius can carry out relatively complex instructions.

And since controlling attacking Warriors with a recording really is brilliant and awesome-sounding, I would heartily support someone actually doing it at some point in the RP. :D

I think Chimera would be cool either with Thoughttown or Black Fist, but overall I'd lean towards making him a gifter. How will Max feel about having an Epic on their side, though? :o

Suggestions? Crocodile + bat/pterodactyl + bombadier beetle = dragons. :D

Don't their mental capacities decrease with each death? So maybe LW just wants to keep his zombies with at least a modicum of intelligence for now.

Good point. Has the added bonus of making me seem slightly less ditzy for not coming up with it sooner. Have an upvote.

I am also for making him a gifter.

Oh, controlling zombies with recorded orders, you say? That's a crazy idea. It would need someone crazy enough to think of it, not to mention easy access to Lightwards' voice and a concealable recording device. Someone insane, who works very closely with him.

No, I'm not talking about Doctor Funtimes and there is no way anyone will regret bringing this up. Not. One. Bit. :D

I just realized that two, and soon three, of my characters are waiting on Joe. ;) Altermind needs Sightline to take the maps and Voidgaze, Electro needs a job from CorpseMaker, and soon, Max will be talking to Gordon.

I'll get something up tonight for each of them. They'll be a while though, I have a lot of stuff to do.

Okay, so that'll make for interesting interactions when they fight.

When I saw your post about Warriors only being able to respond to his thoughts after multiple deaths, I wondered, why hasn't Lightwards just killed them over and over.? It seems like something he'd do and it'd be a lot more convenient.

I'm glad you liked it, but also scared. Lightwards now can have a Warrior driving a truck with a speaker and mobilize zombies from all over the city. That was my first thought of how to use it. It'd also bring Alice back under his control if the truck happened. And, also, I could see Nighthound making recordings and using them to gain more soldiers.

A gifter he is then. So he can give mental control of certain Chimerans to others and an give them traits. It isn't a full Gifting, where they have the ability to take traits, but Chi has to give them the specific trait. Max mainly has a vendetta against Electro right now. He would do a lot of things to make sure he was killed. If it means teaming up with an Epic who's nice by comparison, he would do it. He may end not not killing Chi either because the gifting keeps the evil under control.

Dragons it is. They'll be in the next post from the zoo. And if anyone wants to have interactions with Chimera, just let me know.

I am also for making him a gifter.

Sounds good. I'll get a Max post up soon, I think.

Will you give me Soulswitch? ;) If so, we have a deal. ;) SS would be useful in controlling more of the animals.

I actually just thought of something. It might be kinda hard since it should be a big deal in the city, but Chi could sell his creations to Epics and rich humans. The humans would be able to be gifted the power to control it and the Epics would figure something out. He could have a fantastical beasts farm. He would keep some, if not most, secret for himself in case he needed them, because as of now, he has a small army of beasts just waiting to be used. I can't decide now if he would sell his Chimerans. I like the idea, but he wouldn't want to give away all his secrets. Maybe there's a few hat he sells to the black market, like spy and assassin creatures.

1. What creatures are for sale,

2. How much do they cost, and

3. Does Chi accept glitter money as legal tender? :P

Nevaaaar! :P Sorry, I like SS too much to give him away just yet, he also wouldn't react too well to being sold.

I like the idea of him selling to other Epics, maybe he could do what Lightwards does and just tell the chimerans to obey verbal instructions?

It's actually a really good plan because he could still mentally command them himself, so if they're already in most of the major Epic bases in town he could potentially attack all of them simultaneously.

Apparently, Ctrl W closes the tab you're in, and erases the Post you were in the process of writing.

Also, I just realized that Murphy is Alcatraz.

And accidentally brishing the trackpad and then hitting backspace can take you to a different page and also erase your post, as I have learned many, many times :(
