TheSurvivorofDeath Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 So Feruchemical tin stores senses. But what qualifies as a storable sense in the cosmere? On Scadrial, could a twin born or Fullborn store atium, electrum, gold, or malatium visions in a tinmind? Can lifesense be stored? Can you store the sense of balance? What are the possibilities?
Tglassy Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 The visions? No. Those aren't senses. They're glimpses into the Spitural Realm. But Lifesense, yes, I believe there's a WOB about that. Balance, possibly. Pain, yes. Who knows what else. A Tin Twinborn is insanely powerful. You basically become Daredevil, only with amazing vision as well.

alder24 Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 You can store allomantic bronze sense Spoiler NewbSombrero Can Feruchemical tin store Allomantically granted senses like bronze sense? Brandon Sanderson Possible. General Signed Books 2018 (Feb. 8, 2018) So anything that your body can feel/sense, even if granted by other invested arts, can be stored in tinmind. If you were able to sense electricity, you could store that. Spoiler PhantomMonstrosity (paraphrased) Let's say we had a platypus Feruchemist, who can sense electric fields. Could he make a tinmind for that sense? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) Platypus tinmind should work. Steel Ministry report (Aug. 20, 2014) Inquisitor's steel sight should also be storable.
IlstrawberrySeed Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Why do you say metal shadows cannot be filled? I thought they could, and I thought Brandon confirmed it. Perhaps it was hemalurgically.

Perhaps it was hemalurgically. I didn't find WoB on this one, I find the one telling that blind person can see atium shadow. Spoiler Herowannabe I recently picked up the Mistborn Adventure game and am loving it. I made a character who is a blind Mistborn because hey, I thought it would make for some interesting possibilities. As I understand Allomancy, he can hear/sense well enough to get around with Tin, plus even though he's blind he can still "see" steel lines (like the inquisitors), and I assume Atium would work the same way- that is, he could still "see" Atium shadows. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Brandon Sanderson No, you're right. That works. He'd have to burn metals a LOT though. It might warp him a little. /r/fantasy AMA 2013 (April 15, 2013)
IlstrawberrySeed Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 So we know atium shadows aren't just sight.
