Silver stepped into the room, his movements hesitant and slightly awkward. He pulled the door shut as he entered. "Um. Thanks."

Cufre sat on the bed, Tacien's unconscious form propped up against his chest. "Go on, then."

Gone looked at Cufre. "Do you think I could help comfort him maybe?"

"You can come in, too. But he's unconscious."

"Oh. Um." Silver scuffed his foot slightly. "It's nothing, really, I... just didn't want to be alone."

"I'm sure it was numbered by the ones who ruled it. It was called that long before it fell to ruin."

Rayvyn frowns. "That...that must have been long ago. I did not know this. I wonder..." She shakes her head, clearing it. "We should probably get him back to the inn."

Silver remained quiet for another awkward moment.

"I'm sorry," he said at last. "If, um. If I'm bothering you."

Fadran's referring to someone from another universe, mate...

"Probably." Fadran let his hand off of his sword, only just now realizing he'd been gripping it subconsciously. "So... is that why you idolized death so much? It was some kind of release from whatever hell you grew up in?"

"Are you sure? Is it too sad to see me?"

"No worries." He absently stroked his brother's hair.

Man I'm so tired. I should probably get more sleep...nah.

Rayvyn nods. "Something like that. It...it was something new, an escape, a chance for what we all truly longed for; oblivion." She shakes her head. "It's...it's hard to explain. The city...it gets in your head. You start to fight not just the outside world but yourself, and every waking second is..." She shakes her head again. "I'm going to grab my cloak and daggers." She steps back into the shed.

Silver remained quiet for another few moments. Say something, you idiot.

"So," he said. "What was that place? On the other side of the door? With all the snow and ice?"

"I'm not entirely sure. Some people had kidnapped Tacien here and we were going to rescue him."

Silver's eyes widened. "Kidnapped?"

Fadran waited for her.

There are too many people like this left in eternity. He thought to himself.

Rayvyn comes back out, now wearing her cloak, her daggers carefully hidden away. "Do you want to carry him or should I?"

Klave, if I remember right he passed out after killing the metal dude that we ignored.

"Yeah. He's... special, I guess. Some people want him dead, some people want him for some other reason."

Silver frowned thoughtfully. "Special? In what way?"

"Knows things?" Silver's eyes widened. "Like...anything?"

Fadran picked up Klave and slung him over his shoulder. "Let's be going."

Rayvyn follows him back through the portal. "Where'd everyone go? I swear, if Tacien got attacked by another creepy man..."

"I guess as far as I know, yeah. It's hard to be sure, because he can't tell us what he knows. The most he can do is draw."

"I knew someone like that once," said Silver absently. "Draw, huh?"

Are there any of his drawings around the room? I remember he did a couple earlier.
