This is not directed at me, but if Flamingo flips village, Rhino and Lion will shoot up to my two top suspects. If Flamingo flips elim, then I'll gain a little more trust for Rhino, and will have to figure out who I suspect the most. Will probably return to Penguin, who I was reminded of being in an interesting place from the D1 votes (thank you Chameleon for the D1 VC stuff). Everyone else who was a viable exe option D1 has all ended up dead and village. Except for Penguin. That is a decent place to look for an elim, in my opinion. Would mean I'd have to reevaluate my opinion of Scorpion, if Penguin flips elim.]

Cool, have a village point.

Night Five: Finally Flamingone

Agolac was intercepted just outside the village borders and dragged back into the village square, clips and boxings spilling out of his clothes. He’d remembered where he kept his money and collected plenty more from failed attempts to kill him, but had forgotten to bring anything to carry it all.

Sidor sighed as she watched the proceedings. Agolac merely sat on the stage silently, accepting his fate, while Aylia gleefully led a spirited defense of him, heedless of the near universal condemnation. Her family had been a major threat back in the early days after the Lord Ruler’s death, but all of them except Aylia died in the first Spiked attack. Since she never objected to the mansion being converted into public housing, she’d been permitted to stay there. [She acts like that was never in question.]

“She’s one of us,” a voice broke into her thoughts. She turned her head to see Linaan walking up beside her, back in her preferred human template but now with her feline features on full display in front of everyone, tail curled around Sidor’s thigh. “Inexperienced or overconfident Kandra always forget the body hair. It takes so long to place that you’re better off going for proper fur if you’re making the effort, unless you really need to pass as human.”

“She’s having fun with her new body. I don’t suppose you know her allegiances?” [Nice to see you too, Lin.]

“None,” Linaan purred. “Ruin wanted me to kill her, but that’s also what he said about Agolac before directly intervening to save him last night.”

“Ruin taking a hands-on approach means he’s getting desperate. After Agolac dies, we’ll be in position to find the remaining enactors of his will.” She slipped Linaan a metal tablet detailing pathways to the factory. “Oleinda and her friend found a lead worth pursuing.”

Both of them looked up to see the crowd growing restless. Agolac’s trial had been drawn-out and one-sided with a foregone conclusion, and many audience members that had been entertained in the beginning were growing bored.

Thunk! Clink! Clatter! A stone crossbow bolt shot out from someone in the crowd and hit Agolac in the heart. Instead of blood, clips poured out of his now torn pocket. The impact was enough to animate him, as he suddenly jumped up with new energy. “I remembered! I have to go home and get a cart. Where is home though?”

He spun around on the stage too quickly, the weight of the coins unbalancing him until he lost his footing and fell to the ground below. Crack! Aylia paused her closing remarks and turned to see Agolac lying dead on the ground with a broken neck, a small spike now visibly protruding from it.

well this post is at least half accurate :P i don't think e!Lurcher Flamingo cancels out any e!Thug Lion credences. just means that Lion can't be a Mistborn who rolled iron N3 to protect Flamingo during the gap, as he had pewter for D3. still, it makes sense for elims to prioritize Flamingo's survival over Lion's

but I guess Lion could just have been a misyeet option, im just not sure why Flamingo would avoid voting v!Lion for a self-pres and focus on Chameleon instead

You could accurately say that killing Flamingo took most of this year.

Oh, also, I will point you all t-to my w-words from the d-day b-before y-yesterday, from the mouth of a child:

3. If we don’t kill him today we’re going to end up arguing about the same thing AGAIN tomorrow, or making the coinshot waste even more time on him, and that seems a tad silly.

Anyway, I’m g-gonna arm myself with this here anachronistic baseball bat to keep watch over f-flamingo’s grave to make sure he doesn’t dig himself out again. If he resurrects, aim for the h-head and don’t get b-bit, mkay?

I definitely didn't just start jumping up and down in delight just now

"let's freaking GOOO" may have been said

Not only were they an elim, they were the lurcher

This is going to make this all so MUCH EASIER

[Turning around all this questioning me business. How does this make it easier? As in it was a bigger win then you were expecting? Or does this solidy/change some reads of yours?

Flamingo’s death doesn't really change my reads that much, maybe strengthens my v!read of Hyena since I think the elims had given Flam up for dead at that point and wouldn't have been trying to defend him.]

It makes it easier because it means coinshot kills will no longer be blocked by the elim lurcher. I was expecting Flamingo to be Thug or Mistborn, but I was most worried about the lurcher being an interference because I feel we're pretty close to solving this game. With the Lurcher out of the way, village can coordinate to kill you so we can figure out the rest of the elim team tomorrow. Fun stuff! Whether you flip elim or not, kinda doesn't matter, since either way we'll be able to move on with more information that we had before. Understandably, I am therefore in a good mood because the information we've been looking for all this time is finally all coming together. Not to mention, Flamingo's flip also hard clears multiple people. Namely, Coral Swan's attack is definitely not a WGG because of Flamingo being a lurcher, it just wouldn't line up for an elim team to be able to both protect Swan and Flamingo that night. There are some other people cleared by this as well.

The mistborn is probably who protected Flamingo on the second kill, as I'm not sure if there's another way they could have survived. Them having 2 lurchers is extremely unlikely. Which means that according to the rules, the likelihood of them having the lurcher ability the next night is basically nonexistent. It's possible, but it's so unlikely that it's not worth it. Especially when I've been told that it's not a WGG in PMs, this just confirms it for me because I'm extremely paranoid.
Regardless, I'm in a great mood now! Information is how games are won, and the village definitely has the lead now. The tyrian falls curse shall remain broken!

Pretty sure you just slipped and confirmed that the spiked don't consider Coral Swan a teammate, but that's none of my business.

So recolouring the vote tallies from D1 and D2, in case they end up useful.

Day 1

Spoiler

This is the tally of the first 12 hours of Day 1, all just random poke votes.

Spoiler

(1) Tuatara: Crocodile {1}
(1) Elephant: Tuatara {1}
(1) Albatross: Dragonfly {1}
(1) Hyena: Chameleon {1}
(1) Swan: Meerkat {1}
(1) Scorpion: Elephant {1}
(1) Mouse: Kangaroo {1}

Croc's move from Tuatara to Rhino at just under 14 hours in marks the first vote with some basis attached. Swan opts for a poke vote at 20 hours in, while Weasel's distaste for right aligned text prompts the first vote to take someone's tally to two, at 23 hours in.

Spoiler

(0) Tuatara: Crocodile {1}
(1) Elephant: Tuatara {1}
(1) Albatross: Dragonfly {1}
(1) Hyena: Chameleon {1}
(1) Swan: Meerkat {1}
(1) Scorpion: Elephant {1}
(1) Mouse: Kangaroo {1}
(1) Rhino: Crocodile {2}
(2) Dingo: Swan {1}, Weasel {1}

At just under 24 hours, Tuatara shifts their poke become serious vote from me onto Hyena, tying them with Dingo, for complaining about no game discussion in thread without contributing any. Scorpion appears giving a quite late poke vote on a new candidate at 26 hours in/22 hours remaining. At 20 hours remaining, Falcon votes Dragonfly for poke voting and then not referring back to it in later posts. At 19 hours in, Flamingo appears and poke votes Penguin for inactivity. Leaves us with a 3 way tie between Hyena, Dingo, and Penguin, with Penguin a result of two late arrivals with just poke votes.

Spoiler

(0) Tuatara: Crocodile {1}
(0) Elephant: Tuatara {1}
(1) Albatross: Dragonfly {1}
(2) Hyena: Chameleon {1}, Tuatara {2}
(1) Swan: Meerkat {1}
(1) Scorpion: Elephant {1}
(1) Mouse: Kangaroo {1}
(1) Rhino: Crocodile {2}
(2) Dingo: Swan {1}, Weasel {1}
(2) Penguin: Scorpion {1}, Flamingo {1}

(1) Dragonfly: Falcon {1}

At 18 hours remaining, Meerkat moves Hyena, putting Hyena in the lead. At 16 hours, Heron votes Iguana for the comment about the new thread being a "crazy situation". Dingo gives us our first vote tally as they vote for Chameleon for the mismatch between their claims of PMing everyone versus actually responding to Dingo's PMs, doing this at 15 hours remaining. After the vote tally, at 13 hours remaining, Meerkat moves their vote to Heron due to their defensiveness in their vote, intentionally tying up Hyena, Dingo, and Penguin again.

Spoiler

(0) Tuatara: Crocodile {1}
(0) Elephant: Tuatara {1}
(1) Albatross: Dragonfly {1}
(2) Hyena: Chameleon {1}, Tuatara {2}, Meerkat {2}
(0) Swan: Meerkat {1}
(1) Scorpion: Elephant {1}
(1) Mouse: Kangaroo {1}
(1) Rhino: Crocodile {2}
(2) Dingo: Swan {1}, Weasel {1}
(2) Penguin: Scorpion {1}, Flamingo {1}

(1) Dragonfly: Falcon {1}
(1) Iguana: Heron {1}
(1) Chameleon: Dingo {1}
(1) Heron: Meerkat {3}

At 10 hours remaining, Croc moves to Mouse for deflecting from answering Croc's question, creating a 4 way tie. At 7 hours to go, Hyena is uncomfortable with the suggested early "hard" clear of someone by Tuatara. At 6 hours, Toucan makes a 5 way tie by voting on Scorpion, although it's pointed out they seemed to be referring to Iguana, to whom they change their vote to within 20 minutes, but essentially agreeing with Heron's suspicion. Still creates a 5 way tie.

Spoiler

(1) Tuatara: Crocodile {1}, Hyena {1}
(0) Elephant: Tuatara {1}
(1) Albatross: Dragonfly {1}
(2) Hyena: Chameleon {1}, Tuatara {2}, Meerkat {2}
(0) Swan: Meerkat {1}
(1) Scorpion: Elephant {1}, Toucan {1}
(2) Mouse: Kangaroo {1}, Crocodile {3}
(0) Rhino: Crocodile {2}
(2) Dingo: Swan {1}, Weasel {1}
(2) Penguin: Scorpion {1}, Flamingo {1}
(1) Dragonfly: Falcon {1}
(2) Iguana: Heron {1}, Toucan {2}
(1) Chameleon: Dingo {1}
(1) Heron: Meerkat {3}

At 5.5 hours, Hyena reluctantly retracts from Tuatara, seeming confused, before at 5 hours remaining proposes Kangaroo for lurking. At 3.5 hours remaining, Tuatara removes Hyena from the 5 way tie to propose Flamingo as a new candidate without reason until prompted by Hyena -  for the different ways in which they talk about Penguin.

Spoiler

(0) Tuatara: Crocodile {1}, Hyena {1}
(0) Elephant: Tuatara {1}
(1) Albatross: Dragonfly {1}
(1) Hyena: Chameleon {1}, Tuatara {2}, Meerkat {2}
(0) Swan: Meerkat {1}
(1) Scorpion: Elephant {1}, Toucan {1}
(2) Mouse: Kangaroo {1}, Crocodile {3}
(0) Rhino: Crocodile {2}
(2) Dingo: Swan {1}, Weasel {1}
(2) Penguin: Scorpion {1}, Flamingo {1}

(1) Dragonfly: Falcon {1}
(2) Iguana: Heron {1}, Toucan {2}
(1) Chameleon: Dingo {1}
(1) Heron: Meerkat {3}
(1) Kangaroo: Hyena {2}
(1) Flamingo: Tuatara {3}

7 minutes before the end of cycle, Crocodile moves from Mouse to Kangaroo, maintaining a 4 way tie.
4 minutes before the end of cycle, Dingo moves Chameleon to Iguana being uncomfortable with the vote, choosing Iguana for lack of involvement though they're online - this puts Iguana in the lead.
1 minute before the end of cycle, Dragonfly ties up Iguana with Dingo, for Dingo "posting a lot with little substance".
Spoiler

(0) Tuatara: Crocodile {1}, Hyena {1}
(0) Elephant: Tuatara {1}
(0) Albatross: Dragonfly {1}
(1) Hyena: Chameleon {1}, Tuatara {2}, Meerkat {2}
(0) Swan: Meerkat {1}
(1) Scorpion: Elephant {1}, Toucan {1}
(1) Mouse: Kangaroo {1}, Crocodile {3}
(0) Rhino: Crocodile {2}
(3) Dingo: Swan {1}, Weasel {1}, Dragonfly {2}
(2) Penguin: Scorpion {1}, Flamingo {1}
(1) Dragonfly: Falcon {1}

I don't think it has since the last AG, the elim team in LG90 failed to recurse the town. The curse must be shattered beyond recognition, turn it the other way! Turn it back on the spiked!

okay, so, there's been some developments behind the scenes

Swan

i do believe we have located the elim!Mistborn, based on multiple player's testimonies

for context, Swan has never been scanned by the Seeker. they were initially brought into the soft-cleared trust circle by Meerkat and perhaps given too much trust / info

they do not know the identity of the seeker, thankfully, nor the coinshot; we have been very careful that only villagers scanned by said seeker are made aware of the big identities

the problem surfaced N4, when Swan volunteered to PM the village!Lurcher!claim and give them a shortlist of players to protect (this included some seeker scans, though not the seeker or coinshot, and some red herrings just in case)

instead, Swan claimed CS to the village!Lurcher!claim and directly asked for their protection, to which the village!Lurcher!claim agreed to remain quiet on the matter

at the same time, the seeker scanned the village!lurcher!claim and confirmed their alignment, so we brought them into the scanned group

this is when the village!lurcher who protected Swan revealed Swan's lie that they were the CS and their insistence to "keep this between them"

our conclusion is that this was an attempt for e!Swan to clear themselves via WGG so that we would not seeker scan them soon

i've attempted reaching out to swan in PMs for an explanation, to which he's viewed and ignored

so @Coral Swan I'm calling you out mate

if you don't die to the real CS tonight, and I get killed by the spiked, everyone please make sure to vote Swan tomorrow

i will leave it up to the discretion of other players with knowledge on this situation to validate this, though i have volunteered to be our voice / paint a target on my back for the remaining Spiked

Cool. Thank you Rhino.

Have you ever considered...just Seeking me? Since you know, you apparently have one of those? :P Might clear up whether or not I had good intentions or bad in trying to draw fire for the Coinshot. Instead, you're deciding to suspect me for calling the NK (correctly) and not wasting the Lurcher protection out there.

why not ask me this in pms then when i confronted you :ph34r: at this point i just think you want to buy yourself another cycle

part of the problem in my mind is that you "correctly" predicted the NK at all. i do believe there were much better candidates for the spiked to kill at that point. feels too convenient

not to mention the fact i asked you to prove the role you claimed to me (rioter) last cycle and you made a last-minute excuse instead
