D1, some EOD RP, ignores votes on them.

D2, mentioned a reads list that got eaten, posts it later:

Doesn't engage any more or place a vote on their suspects

D3, has yet to post. So Penguin, do you still hold to these reads? Why didn't you vote on Hyena or Rhino D2? And what are your thoughts on me surviving the Coinshot attack?

The minimal engagement fits my current picture of the elim team, would exe or Coinshot

Opens D1 with a vote on Dingo. And that's it. Acknowledges this during the night and mentions a coming analysis post.

Opens D2 with a vote on Cham (which I noted at the time didn't make a ton of sense). And that's it. Posts the following at night (recoloring/emphases mine):

To be honest, having this many suspicions/kill targets is a village look. This post might be responsible for the attack on me :(.

Opens D3 with a vote on me. I'm not liking how this ends based on the last 2 days... Except Swan continues to post! And not unvote. Mentions willingness to swap to Dragonfly.

So my questions would be, any particular reason you didn't bring up Cham, Scorp, Lion, or Elephant this cycle? There are 2 votes on Lion, one from Meerkat who is kinda running this show.

First two cycles didn't look great but can be explained by IRL/holiday stuff. N2 post read quite village, so I'll retract my vote. Onidsen.

7. @Emerald Falcon - Luciel (sheriff)

D1, has some nice RP and then moves into analysis. Makes (what I consider to be) a valid point about the alignments of mass-PMing villagers. Village reads Croc, and Tuatara, flags Dragonfly, Chameleon, and Elephant for not reconsidering their votes. Also suspects Weasel. Later clarifies some of these in more nice RP. No posts during the night.

D2, has RL reasons to not post. Which makes me really suspicious of the Falcon voters, except Meerkat who voted before the blue text. That would be Ostrich, Rhino, Hyena, and Alb. Also makes the Soothe look quite a bit less suspicious in my eyes. Has a post N2 giving some brief thoughts. Suspicion of Penguin and Dragonfly, village read on Rhino(except backtracks later), kinda defends me. Has the following Coinshot targets: Penguin, Hyena, Toucan, Dragonfly, Lion.

D3, votes on me because, in their opinion, the most likely option is that I was protected by an elim Lurcher. I feel like taking this stance has strong implications for the overall team given that I was mentioned only once during the "coinshot votes" of N2. I also think Thug!me requires the fewest assumptions, so I disagree with this analysis in general.

Then goes on to flag Meerkat and Hyena for reversing on Dragonfly.

Falcon looks pretty good, I agree with their suspicion of Penguin, and like their unwillingness to effort-clear Meerkat. Like with Swan, I like the N2 post a lot. I would still like to hear their further thoughts on the day, hear why they think e!Lurcher is more probable than something!Thug, and hopefully not have them vote for me come EOD.

Village read, at least for now. Definitely wouldn't vote or Coinshoot this cycle.

And that leaves 13 to go. I'm going to stick my vote on Penguin for now as easily the most suspicious person I've looked at. Might do some of the others out of order since they are immediately relevant to todays exe.

Edit:

Wanted to address this. Not sure why mistborn!me couldn't have pulled Thug last cycle, nothing defensive now, and wants to not get NKed to be able to get off the occasional Seek/Coinshot. I also haven't been deliberately drawing suspicion, so I'm not sure what your comment about playing into the Coinshot pool means (assuming I'm being charitable and it's not just an insult). In fact I'm trying to engage with the thread so people can village read me. I'm going to say it upfront, you're in a tunnel and despite your lack of a vote on me, your rather large thread presence is likely responsible for 2-3 of the votes on me, so please reconsider.

In commute on mobile so have to be brief, happy to substantiate later.

Problem with you is I have been going all over the place and can't see your actions as making sense for V you or E you.

Lack of selfpres potentially a good look but came four hours prior to EoD and never substantially tested.

Weasel v DF still odd

Good responsiveness to questions on posts but fundamentally responsive and chronic side train voter

Picked up analysis this cycle, ISOs in theory good look, checking conclusions, aspect of being fundamentally reactionary to accrued sus

Night lurker

Coinshot pool point about lack of proactiveness

That I'm open to V you or confused enough is the main reason I haven't joined your train at present.

[OOC: I keep hoping I'll have the time and spoons for solid RP, but nope. Life strikes again. Let's run through what I missed.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyy did so many people hop on Falcon with me? It was vanity at best and somehow became the second-biggest train? Like, what? Speaking of, it feels like the Falcon vote was solidly dropped.

So, the live trains right now seem to be Lion, Flamingo, Chameleon. Flamingo's case is that they lived and haven't shared anything. I see this in two frames: 1. They're evil and expect vote manip to carry them through. 2. They're village and consider the odds of getting voted off right now to be less than the odds of them getting murdered if they share what they are. I do not see why a player would consign themself to death rather than share, particularly since it would strongly benefit evil Flamingo to falsely claim Thug. Nothing to prove in that case. For that matter, there could be benefits to village Flamingo falsely claiming Thug. It'd get us to back off a little, for one thing. Lion's case is that they aren't doing anything, which is fair. Chameleon's case amounts to much of the same, with the caveat that they apparently resurrected under crossfire.

I'd actually consider Chameleon putting in the effort a slight mark in their favor, in that it will be easier to work with them than with a Lion that presumably does not act similarly and maintains a level of silence. I can see the merits of Flamingo, but I also don't understand why evil Flamingo wouldn't just claim Thug. I'm not sure the case study of MR56 entirely applies. That appears to have been blackout, and there's no structure of truth to fall back on to create a feasible lie.

I've read through things again. Summary of each player by what I've seen.

Lion: At some insistence D2, they did start talking more, but I don't think they've expressed much of anything. The most effort they've put into the game was a play-by-play of posts D1 with no actually commentary, just what happened.

Chameleon: While I'd like to see more, they've actually had opinions. They've been voting. They've been trying to stay present, as far as I can tell. I would prefer them stay alive than Lion.

Flamingo: All they've done is live, and I mean that. A bit like Lion, but with a little more verbosity and less apparent effort.

I think Lion, mostly because of how much effort they've put into not having any opinions at all. I have to go now. I'll see you on the other side.]

Gotta say Cham has felt really explanatory but not evil per se

Lion has been stating facts

Flamingo has existed

....Between Flamingo and Lion I'd probably go Lion.

I just have a good gut vibe off Cham. I can't defend it. I might be wrong. But I'm not willing to go for Cham and it's def based on who I think they are so /shrug

Lion's reaction test reaction was worse. I'm staying put. Yes sorry I should probably have said this earlier but distracted + permission.

Night Three: Too Dumb to Die

“None of you were attacked on the way back?” Sidor questioned three of her assembled agents.

“No, ma’am! I saw no Spiked while I was traveling with Linaan or after our paths diverged. The other two met nobody either, and reports show that no Spiked were prepared to ambush them on their verbally indicated path.”

“Evidence that Ruin cannot hear us even in the vicinity of a Spiked, but not sufficient proof,” Sidor mused. “Did my Lin have a message for me?”

The agent frowned. “She mentioned a dog... tar? Doctor? She said that you would know what that meant. Uh, she said that she misses you and can’t wait to meet you by the river when it’s safe.”

Sidor scoffed. “Ridiculous. Let her know that I’m not afraid of her nor do I fear any number of Spiked who would dare assail us during the day.”

The agent bowed and all three left.

“Dogtaur?” Sidor mused as she headed into her study, leaving her new wagon behind as she walked towards the hidden trap door. “I suppose she has been in her cat form long enough to want a change, but why can’t she get these bones for herself? ‘Drop them off by the reservoir and I’ll pick them up later,’ no, I’ll wait there and she will give me an explanation for why she’s been avoiding me.” [She knows I can protect myself.]

The subterranean room underneath her study was sparse, with four earthen walls, a bare stone floor and closets built into each wall. She opened the largest one.

Since dogtaur was one of Linaan’s favorite alternative forms, the skeleton was already assembled. It was a pony base, most of those bones coming from a two month old foal supplemented with a few adult bones to increase running ability. This was necessary since Linaan’s mass was too low for an adult pony.

The upper half of the skeleton had a roughly human torso to allow for the use of arms, Linaan’s favorite human feature for their ability to manipulate objects. The head was canine, modified slightly to fit with the neck and shoulders. With this array, Linaan could track down anyone she wanted, outrun any Spiked, and use weapons or carve messages.

After placing all the bones in the wagon, it was time for the hair and fur. Linaan couldn’t place all her own hairs for this form without assistance, and even with her help it still took far longer than any other step of the process, but the dog and horse sections were deeply unsightly without covering so bringing hair was worthwhile.

After Sidor brought the necessary hair from a second closet into the wagon and covered it, she paused and went back down and opened a third closet. This one contained the bones of individual humans for Linaan to impersonate specific individuals. They were labeled by name, that couldn’t be trusted since the words weren’t etched in metal, a serious oversight that would need to be corrected. She looked at the skeleton labeled ‘Ferac’. Was that him? It looked fresher than some of the other skeletons and it was about the right height. She couldn’t be sure though since she hadn’t cared to see his bones before. [I still don’t care.]

In a way, she was glad she couldn’t tell. She could think of no better fate for Ferac than for him to be forgotten. He cared only to inflict his will upon the world while she had built one that could function without her. She could trust the villagers to find the Spiked, her agents to investigate Guy for taking allomantically viable metals from the village’s stockpile despite not being a known allomancer, and she would trust Linaan or force her to prove she couldn’t be.

~~~
Guy stood in front of an angry crowd. “Wot mean steal?”
“Give it up, Guy! We all know you’ve been taking metal from the stockpile. What have you been using it for?”
“Metal no for. Metal go yum.” Saying so, he pulled out three vials of pewter and shoved them into his mouth. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. “Shell no so good.”
Even those calling loudest for Guy’s death were taken aback. “Too stupid to be a Spiked,” one whispered. “He could be faking it,” another replied. “If he’s a Thug, that won’t harm him.” “We’ll monitor his health before passing judgment,” a third declared, and so Guy was given a stay of execution.
Subjects of The Lord Ruler, we're playing the game wrong. We can only exe Smokers. If we don't exe Smokers, they refuse to die and we lose
At the risk of exposing my well-guarded identity, I just finished watching an excellent hockey game and intend to revel in that for a bit.
I'd like to question Weasel's comments from that because they seemed weird. But I'll get to that later. You've been warned!
I didn't know that Lion was a thug but for the past couple hours it has been rattling around my skull that Lion would survive the exe. I had no basis just paranoia, and why Paranoia why do you have to be right.
