I had the same question. Seems a bit strange to go on a dangerous mission and use coffins.

“Kay, sure, fine, let’s go save TAAron!” Haly munched on a marshmallow apple. It actually sort of tasted like an apple.

That's it. The manipulator tied a final string, and a space in the wall next to him began to glow.

TAAron felt like he was growing accustomed to the void. And it was maddening.

Suddenly, he felt an odd sensation, but a gust of air from an opening door. He opened his eyes which he hadn't realized were closed, and saw a glowing rectangle floating near him. He began getting pulled towards it. It's like the glow in... in...

The prison. I remember. Desperately TAAron tried to pull himself away, but to no avail. He began getting pulled through, quickly entering then exiting out the other side.

He was in a room. Not blank like the last one had been, instead populated with a desk, some chairs, and some bookshelves. Bloodstains covered the desk, some looking fresh. Just as he entered, a door on the other side of the room closed. He sprinted at it, tearing it open. Behind it was a hallway. He barely caught a glimpse of a man carrying some sort of box rounding a corner ahead.

TAAron picked up to a sprint, rounding the corner and slowly gaining on the man as they traveled through a maze of doors and hallways. Finally, he managed to reach him, attempting to grab hold. TAAron's hands went right through the man's back. The man began laughing.

"Stupid kid. I was never even here." In a flash of the same white light, the apparition disappeared.

And TAAron was trapped once again.

Yeah, we're doing this again

Nameless opened a gateway back into the central tower of the capital and grabbed the receptionist guy. "Hey, we figured out a way past the barrier at the edge of your world. Want to come witness our epic departure?"

Rapidly, the man pulled out a metal rod and the end sparked. A gash was cut into Nameless' face. "You shouldn't do that to people. You're lucky I saw you with the general."

"I shouldn't abandon the desk. Penna?" A woman appeared from a small break room beside the booth. "Would you mind going with this man? He's an otherworlder, I think, and he wants someone to... witness his departure."

Nameless snapped the gateway shut behind them, then gestured to the box lying on the ground as he stepped inside his coffin. "I told you. My group has discovered the secret to interdimensional travel from this planet. Within that box lies the secret to doing so. Consider it a parting gift to king Edmund for his kind offer of aid." With that, he closed the lid on his coffin and activated the illusion.

I don't really know what should happen or what Penna should be doing right now.

It'll look to her as if the coffins fell of the cliff and passed through the barrier. All she has to do is mess with the box at all to activate the actual mechanism.

Penna watched curiously as the boxes fell, and was surprised to see that they were not obliterated on contact with the void. She walked to the box, and opened it, looking inside.

Inside the box was a folded up piece of paper.

Meanwhile, the now-unconscious Nameless and the rest of the party fell through the barrier and into the void between worlds.

how did they become unconscious

Penna opened the paper to read it.

That was part of the weave Nameless made, so that their own intent wouldn't be a problem.

It read: The secret to bypassing the barrier is to enter it without intending to do so.

Penna frowned. So how did they... She decided not to think about it.

I guess I'm walking back to the city.

Haly had entered the realm of dreams.

I’ve heard of this, but never done it… does this mean I’m a Dreamfolk? Or simply unnatural? Oh well, whatever works, I guess.

It was hard to explain this new plane of existence. It felt like a gateway, similar to the Belowplace, but there was no light or sight, except for the shimmers. There were shimmers of light, sound, smells, feelings—all sorts of things. Haly could tell that, if she wanted, she could access any of them.

I’m doing this cuz I wanted to do something, but I realize maybe there’s a way to get to TAAron in this if you want to do that.

You'll probably have to repeat what you did the first time to save TAAron. First, someone (probably Nameless) is going to have to realize that TAAron is no longer in interdimensional space. Then, all of you will have to find traces of the manipulator's magic. This is also probably something that Nameless can do. Then, you can all work together on getting there and saving TAAron. After that, it's either straight to Ghenjei or you can do some investigating to try and get to the manipulator. In that case, I can kind of be a DM as you guys snoop around to fell you what you find.

I believe that Haly used her new special lerasium magic powers to basically Find TAAron's prison from the magical traces in the Clinic. Might be a bit more complicated now, since he was yoinked out of interdimensional space. Still, Nameless or someone could sense the magic while they are in interdimensional space and then she could do the thing. I don't really know, you all can jsut try things and I'll tell you if they work or not. It's hard to think of all the possibilities off the top of my head.

If she could find a dream of where he is she might be able to do that (if she loses control, which is under MY control and so I can control). That’s my idea.

Penna = feather? (I definitely don't have a character with that name)  Also if this next thing doesn't fit with what's been going on, someone please tell me. I lost track of the plot.

Wynn was frustrated for multiple reasons.

"Will someone please tell me what we're doing?" she asked. "You guys and your quadruple magic systems. It's driving me insane!"

You all are already in interdimensional space, kind of just waiting on Nameless to navigate it or something. If you look near the top of this page, you can also see that TAAron got kidnapped! And the name wasn't really meant to mean anything, the feather thing is just a coincidence.
