Hoid at the end of Elantris

So I know this question has probably been asked many, many times, but!

We know that Hoid is a being that yeets around the Cosmere and such, but what about the one from the end of Elantris? Was he the original Hoid, and he got really powerful, trained new Hoid, then died? Or was he the new Hoid the entire time, and just visited Elantris in the diguise of a beggar?

Assuming that Elantris takes place at about the same time as the other series and not eons earlier, he was the newer Hoid, the one we see in all the other books.

Elantris takes place a few hundred years before Mistborn Era 1.

The "Original" Hoid would have been kicking around Pre-Shattering, but should be long gone by now.

yeah, I know that, but Elantris takes place far Post-Shattering so The "original" Hoid should be gone at that point.

Agreed.  I was adding additional detail to the OP, I wasnt trying to contradict your statement.
