Blue-phoenix186 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Hi this is my first post so bear with me if I get a few things wrong but I had a thought is the fourth ideal specific two the knights radiant Who says it cuz when kaladin said it it sounded very specific to his character thoughts ?

SpinningSky he/him Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 I believe that for Windrunners the ideals will be pretty much the same, though everyone might have a slightly different take on it, especially as Windrunners inheritly work as a cohesive team, I'd be surprised if they had the 'individuality' in oaths that skybreakers and lightweavers get. Spoiler So while the wording is different and it has different specific meaning to the character, the third ideal is always about protecting regardless of whom you're protecting (as long as it is right to do so\even if it is me\even if I'm protecting from myself). I would expect the fourth to always be about being able to carry on fighting after failure, so while for Kaladin that's accepting that he can't save everyone, for Lopen it might entail to "keep protecting even if he is alone and lost all of his friends and cousins" or whatever 1
