Then the necromancer walked back to his horse and set off at a trot. He'd been drawn by the grief Lylac felt, the connection to the dead. But there was another place where the lines between death and life were thinned, and it was to that place that he now travelled. The site of the battle between the Starbreakers and the forces of the Queen was like a beacon to those of his particular profession, and he wanted to get there quickly. Wait too long and the competition would get all the good souls. Or worse, the souls would simply fade entirely.

yes, the necromancer is a side character i threw in as a joke. let's call him Tom.

Tom dismounts his horse on an odd rock, to get a closer look. to the confusion of both him, and the folks in the building, he is "teleported" into the HQ of the resistance. "huh. so that's what that did." he muttered.
