A lot of nerves, all in one place. He could practically taste it.

"Backs straighter, men!" Ilektchi ordered. "If you're retiring with anything, it better not be a hunch! I won't be letting any cripples back into the world to tell my stories."

Star, you said you wanted to enter with a character named Avi?

Tam Tarker forcibly restrained himself from whistling. This was his first time here. He needed to make a good impression.

the character in question is Shadow, he is a hive mind, so he has multiple characters, they have an unbreakable bond.

@Zephrun's Imperium

Tam stood up as straight as he could, and then stood up even straighter.

What would happen if that bond were to be broken?

You can don't if you don't want to. I really don't want to force anyone into it.

"That kid's got it." Letch gestured at Tam. "Tarker, is it?"

Backs straighter? Nerevat thought. If my back goes any straighter, it'll snap in two. Regardless, Nerevat needed a good impression, and somehow, he straightened his back and turned his eyes toward the captain.

Tarker moved his head slightly in what he hoped was a nod, too petrified to answer.

well, the shadow who was broken off from the others would probably either collapse into dust or teleport to another of the shadows somehow.

Collapse into dust seems more likely in this situation, since it wouldn't be able to find any other shadows.

Okay I'll flesh it out later, but here's the basics.

Name: Murk

Weapon: Is a martial arts specialist. Fadran do you have a certain type of martial arts that he would have learned in this world?

It's not my world. I just designed all the Wither-hunting stuff.

(Also martial arts don't really work against Withergeists, but I guess they would against possessed folks. You'd be a continegency agent)

I'm not sure if I want to join... I mostly play more FFRPs, and I'd prefer that If I enter a world with stricter rules, I'd at least know said world. I'd like more explanation than "it's a middle ages era in a world, there is a coup planned and we play withergeist hunters, who are people that hunt dangerous darkness creatures", which appears to be most of what I know currently.

Sure, I can probably do this. Yeah.

Name: Linus

Appearance: 4 feet 8 inches tall, 90 pounds, and fully grown. Mid-30's. Has brown hair and full sideburns, but is balding on the top already.

Skills: Linus has a unique fighting style that's centered around his proportionally-accurate-yet-small frame. He specializes in sneaking around and fitting into tight spaces, and while he can hold his own in a fight he prefers to finish a battle before it starts with trickery and/or sabotage.

Personality: If there's a short joke, he's heard it, and he doesn't care. Linus uses everything about his size to his advantage, but recognizes that everyone has their own strengths and admires the huge warriors from the old legends. He believes that he has the upper edge in every fight he enters because his opponents always underestimate him, and most of the time he's right about that. He's sarcastic and often talks louder than necessary as an unconscious effect of his size. He's got a bit of a temper, but it's completely unrelated to his frame.

Backstory: Undecided, I like to figure it out more as I go, but he's experienced, having fought with a squad for almost 20 years. He's survived where many, many of his friends have died, and mostly is numb to grief.

Anything specific you want me to add/change? And if there's anything to backread besides the post xino linked, let me know.

Would you like me to elaborate in greater detail on the withergeists? Or if its details about the world, perhaps ask @Zephrun's Imperium.

I would consider this an FFRP.

Linus was standing straight. As straight as he could! It wasn't his fault he was so short.

A memory sparked; a few years back when he had saved his entire squad because of his size. So usefully short, he mentally added, as he often did. Those men were all dead by now, of course.

Still, Linus respected Poliar a great deal, and did his best to straighten. Though he had to force himself not to raise his hand in a mock salute.

Linus felt himself relax, though he probably should have stayed straight, and raised an eyebrow at his commander. He hadn't said a word, and Poliar had known exactly what he was thinking. Maybe Linus had gotten taller! He'd have to stop standing up straight if that was the case.

Question: What are the in-world, uh, swears? :P Only the important pieces of worldbuilding, I know. But Linus seems like the kinda guy to me who would use... words, on occasion.
