Does Rock have a Herald ancestor?

Does Rock have an ancestor who was a Herald? Or a highly invested person? He can see spren, Cord can see spren.. Rock has a distant cousin that can see spren, but most Horneaters can't see spren.

I'm pretty sure that the seeing spren is due to living at cultivations perpendicularity, he specifically said it was a blessing from the lakes there. It probably is Roshar's "Royal Locks", I think that there is a WOB somewhere.

I believe we had some form of confirmation that that was the Investiture of Cultivation's perpendicularity interacting with the singer blood the Horneaters (and Herdazians, and to some extent Vedens) possess, but I can't find it anymore.

Isn't it also speculated on by a character in the books as being because of singer blood as well?

Pretty sure it's related to their Singer blood more than anything. Though living next to a Perpendicularity can't hurt

Seeing as very few singers get the ability after entering the pool, there must be something else involved as well.
