Brgst13 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Sigzils bond is...interesting. Aux views him as the squire and blames Sig for his death. Sig clearly views him as a spren which seems to rule out the Cognitive Shadow idea. We see spiritual Adhesion and what appears to be a form of Transportation. We know his oaths ended. Not that they were broken but ended. So what is going on here? My theory rests on several pieces of evidence: 1. Transportation and Adhesion are not shared by any known order. 2. Aux seems to be more in charge than any spren we have seen to date. 3. Sigzil took up a Dawnshard 4. Dawnshards can bind any creature voidish or mortal. What being do we know that tends to be in charge and grants all 10 Surges? Has Sigzil bonded Yelig-nar?
PurpurPhönix he/him Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 I mean the Rosharans do consider Cognitive Shadows essentially spren, in fact I think some of the Heralds are referred to as at least spren-like. It's just like all the magic systems are all surge binding. Although his having seen more of the cosmere may have disabused him of that notion too. But it also doesn't really seem like Yelig-nar. Like sure he's "in control" but like Sig can still do what he wants, and can even leave Aux behind. Plus bonding Yelig-nar seems risky at best

That would mean that a man who can fly let himself be dragged behind a hoverbike for multiple kilometers who can dissolve matter into dust let himself be bound and many other things. In addition as far as we know Yelig-Nar cannot turn into a multitool.

The Unmade seem to have their own tap to the spiritual realm. Amaram did not need Voidlight. Ba-Ado-Mishram powered a whole people. 32 minutes ago, DiePie said: Assuming Sig formed a Nahel bond, the Spren could turn into anything made out of god-metal In theory probably so.
