This is the board.

62126f989d928_TheBoard-1.png(1).png.610ce65855cbd65f419c5f476caacdd8.png

These are the rules.

1. The last color remaining on the board wins. (Black and white are not colors.)

2. No color may move twice in a row.

3. Only one piece may move at a time.

New rules will be added as moves are made. (Only the GM may add rules.) (At most one rule will be made per move.)

Moves that break the rules will not happen. (Rules do not apply retroactively.)

Standard chessboard square indicators are as follows.

a8 b8 c8 d8 e8 f8 g8 h8
a7 b7 c7 d7 e7 f7 g7 h7
a6 b6 c6 d6 e6 f6 g6 h6
a5 b5 c5 d5 e5 f5 g5 h5
a4 b4 c4 d4 e4 f4 g4 h4
a3 b3 c3 d3 e3 f3 g3 h3
a2 b2 c2 d2 e2 f2 g2 h2
a1 b1 c1 d1 e1 f1 g1 h1

The first move is from g7 to g5.

4. Pieces on square x7 may move to square x5. Pieces on square x2 may move to square x4. (x indicating any one letter.)

It is blue's move.

A1 to C3, it's red's move.

@xinoehp512

I think that this is really cool, and I'm willing to necro to see this thread get off the ground.

I misread this as a new rule will be added between every move sorry.

It says one letter, I think that means all x's in a move are the same letter, could be wrong though.

The Double Necro shall live!

I will add two rules, one for each move.

5. Pieces may jump over other pieces of the same color.

6. All red pieces may move from square xy to square x(y-1). All blue pieces may move from square xy to square x(y+1).

It is blue's move.

Eh ok

I left a message in the qf dead doc for him too :P

also i think your move is illegal so ???

There's not really an illegal moves yet. Not sure there ever will be really, considering how the game works.

Let's try again because this sounds fun.

I will move from g8 to g5. Decide how that effects red as you will.

That is, in fact, an illegal move, as g8 to g5 is a red move and colors cannot move twice in a row.

Ah, sorry, I would be going from g1 to g4 then.

7. Pieces may not move more than 2 spaces in a turn unless they are making a capture.

8. Pieces may not move unless a rule explicitly allows them to do so.

9. Pieces on columns (d) or (e) may move to any other space on those columns in order to capture, assuming there are no pieces in the way.

Edit: Also, Xino, you didn't actually implement a capture rule, so are we allowed to do stuff with dead pieces?

You can certainly try.

That is what I meant :P

Figured, it's a little counterintuitive.

D2 to d4. I'll wait a bit on those dead pieces.

Also, Xino, could we get a measure of the dead pieces like in chess?

10. Pieces may not move to the same square two turns in a row.

11. Pieces on row 4 or row 5 may move from square xy to square (x+j)(y-j) or square (x+j)(y+j), where j is any integer.
