As is the thought process of unbelievers. The PRESENCE is a peaceful entity and wishes no harm upon you or your Mercenaries. The PRESENCE is less a person a more an idea, and idea that guides us in times when we need it.

I actually have no idea what the Hogfather is, but my point is, the PRESENCE can not be killed. Well... actually I suppose you could technically murder the PRESENCE if you rounded up every last follower of the Colorful Signature and exterminated them, but 1. You'd never find them all, and 2. Such dark thoughts make me feel very sad
