caminante_blanco he/him Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 (edited) Hi everyone! I just joined the 17th shard, and I'm definitely looking forward to being a part of this community. I'm a college student, and I wish I had more time on my hands, but I finished everything published in the cosmere fall of 2020, and I'm reading it again so I can be ready for wax and wayne this year. I just finished Mistborn: Final empire minutes before writing this, and I'm about to start well of ascension. My favorite character is Hrathen, and my favorite Sanderson book is probably Oathbringer. What about you guys? P.S. Vin deserved Spook. That is Brandon Sanderson's greatest oversight. All the fans wanted it, the story was obviously written with that originally in mind, and it never made any sense that Vin would deny someone so ruggedly handsome as Lord Spook. Edited January 15, 2022 by caminante_blanco Spin should have been a thing. 1
Szeth Pancakes he/they Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 spin is a thing it’s just spensa’s callsign Welcome to the Shard! Do you hate Moash? 1
caminante_blanco he/him Posted January 15, 2022 Author Posted January 15, 2022 Hating Moash means dedicating part of my life to thinking about him. I try to avoid doing so whenever possible. 1
#1 Taln Fan he/him Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 Welcome! Want a Cookie? What’s your favorite non-sanderson book?
caminante_blanco he/him Posted January 15, 2022 Author Posted January 15, 2022 Probably David Copperfield
Aeternum Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Welcome to the Shard! Someone already stole my question, but I've got backup ones . Who's the coolest character in your opinion? And why.
caminante_blanco he/him Posted January 16, 2022 Author Posted January 16, 2022 Renarin is easily the coolest. His bumbling, awkward way of handling the ladies is the essence of hip. I wish I were one-tenth as cool as Renarin.
StrikerEZ he/him Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 @caminante_blanco Hey, welcome to the Shard! I know you've read everything in the cosmere, but have you had a chance to read Dawnshard yet? I know that one was weird with how it was released as its own book, separate from the WoK leatherbound Kickstarter, way later than it originally came out. It's set between Oathbringer and Rhythm of War. It's a really good story. Also, there's a group of people here on the forums that run mafia games based on Sanderson's books. It's called Sanderson Elimination. If you're curious, you can take a read at the general rules here, and the signups for the next game can be found here.
