I don't think so. The Wheel of Time has a very convoluted plot, and I'm afraid it wouldn't make much sense to you if you did. Plus you'd miss out on a lot of character development.

That's a bad idea. I'm not particularly fond of a few of the middle books, but they still had elements that played into later developments that were important to be set up. Just power through it.

If I want to read more Brandon Sanderson books, could I read summaries of the early Wheel of Time books and jump in to Brandon Sanderson's WoT books?

You want to skip to book 12?

I would not reccomend it.

I would definitely recommend reading all of the books, or at least most of them. Some of the middle books get slow, but skipping to Brandon's would be like skipping the first 4 books of stormlight and reading KoW when it comes out. A summary won't give you the investment in the series that reading the books will.

Brandon’s books, while still excellent, are probably the ones I liked the least in the whole series.  Even the so-called slow middle books were quite good and contained many important plot events.

Plus you’d miss out on the first 5 books, which I think are the greatest series and story arc ever.

DO NOT skip the Jordan books

Please do not skip the Robert Jordan's books. They are crucial to understanding more about the world of wheel of Time.

Brandon's books are good, too, but they build up on what Jordan already wrote.

If you don't read Jordan's books, you will likely get confused.
