Mystic Syn she/her Posted July 11, 2022 Author Posted July 11, 2022 Khaos actually scoffs. “Why would I have used him as a bargaining chip? That rat, Ji Naito, never meant anything. He was only an annoyance I was asked to take care of; nothing more, nothing less. Made a mess of everything. He was basically useless to your petty cause, but I digress.” He studied her, looking at her stance up and down. “It’s not what I want, but what I believe that you would like, yes?” The blood around his fingers zipped in front of him, then took the shape of a very, very familiar man; one that the Angel only showed him to once, and the one that she told him that Elya would know. “I am told that you are… acquainted with the man that calls himself His Highness, yes?”
Mystic Syn she/her Posted July 11, 2022 Author Posted July 11, 2022 “Not most of them. “Anyways, I’m sure you heard Ji Naito talking about an invitation to a masquerade, hm? What if I told you that His Highness was going to attend? What would you do with that information?”
Channelknight Fadran Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Quote *remembers absolutely nothing about a Masquerade*
Mystic Syn she/her Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 Quote Well,, yes and no. On 5/2/2022 at 7:08 PM, Mystic Syn said: "Some sort of invitation or something," he yawned again. "Reapers were talking about it."
Mystic Syn she/her Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 “I don’t care what you do,” he said, raising a brow. “I just wanted to let you know about him... oh, and how the Angel will be there to ‘repay her debt’ to him.”
Channelknight Fadran Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 "Alright." Nothing in her stance changed, save for a short flickering of the eyes. "Is that it, then?"
DramaQueen she/he/neopronouns Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) Quote Lyanör stood in the stairwell, her author wishing she had been given something more interesting to write about so that she could actually be active in this RP It's kinda just become "Fadran and Syn RP the cool stuff while everyone else just...doesn't." Lyanör was put in a freaking stairwell by herself to shoot things if they come. There's not really anything I can do. Edited July 13, 2022 by DramaQueen
Channelknight Fadran Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 (edited) "Wonderful. Thank you for your concern." Elya didn't move. "Now where's Ji?" @Mystic Syn Quote ahhhhhh sorry everyoneeee. I didn't mean to hog the plot again. Gimme one more post and I'll rope y'all right back into it. Edited July 17, 2022 by Channelknight Fadran

I am also very willing to have y’all have some plot, cos there’s only so much that my brain can come up with. On 7/14/2022 at 8:53 AM, Channelknight Fadran said: "Wonderful. Frustration Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 "Viator, portal to the top room please." John said, lighting the firepan on his flamethrower.

"There's a bastard here who wants to die." @Frustration @DramaQueen @Emery the Steelrunner @Tani Khaos sighed, closing his eyes. “I really didn’t want to fight, Pherish. Is this what you want… well, is it what Ji would want from you?
Channelknight Fadran Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 "Yes." She really wasn't wrong. Ji was all about revenge.
Emery the Steelrunner he/him Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 3 hours ago, Frustration said: "Viator, portal to the top room please." John said, lighting the firepan on his flamethrower. “On it!” Viator said as his eyes bled to a dark storm. He reached out with his hand and ripped a portal in front of himself and John. Through the swirling clouds of the rift, he could see Elya and a menacing stranger.
Mystic Syn she/her Posted July 19, 2022 Author Posted July 19, 2022 “Mmm,” he hummed, tilting his head from side to side. A sense of warmth came into existence a little ways off––more of two, actually––but they seemed to be distant as well. At least a Transporter and Elya Pherish, and one other person who might as well be a Mystic. Perfect. “If you insist.” His eyes shot open, hand zipping to his side blade, but didn’t unsheathe. He, instead, focused on her very lifeforce pumping within her––her very blood––and began exercising his will on it, and her body, to stop.
Channelknight Fadran Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Elya's eyes went wide. Her knees tried to buckle, but... they held out. An agonized gasp whistled out her teeth. Lights... No... he's one of them...
Frustration Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Flame jetted out from the weapon in John's hand. It had shocked him how far they could shoot flame back during his time in the army, but now he was glad for the reach. A twenty foot beam of fire reached with open arms to engulf the strange man.
Mystic Syn she/her Posted July 19, 2022 Author Posted July 19, 2022 Before the fire reached him, Khaos shot forward and plunged it into her gut, right below the ribcage, feeling her blood soak through her jacket and stain his blade. He leaned in close to her ear, walking two fingers up her shoulder and neck. “Vale, dulcis princeps,” he quoted quietly in her ear, whispering in the old tongue. “Sit amans te invenies.” A presence moved from that portal, clicking something on. Perfect. Khaos slid the blade from her gut, hopping out of the way for Elya to take, holding her there for a little while longer as he brushed off his singed bodysuit. “I assume you’re with her,” he said, spinning his blade, flicking droplets of blood on himself and the area around him.
Frustration Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 "You could say I'm the one who cleans up our mess." John said. "Make another portal directly above him looking down." He added in a terse whisper.
Channelknight Fadran Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 There wasn't even a second to think. When he darted towards her she could've done anything--allocate her senses, slow her blood flow; stop her heart if need be! She could've taken the hit, held on, recalibrated her mind to hyperfocus away from the pain... maybe she would've lasted a few minutes against him. Long enough to get the others away. But she hadn't been thinking straight. No sound escaped her mouth. Instead, blood broiled up and coughed out over her lips, splattering onto the floor and sliding in a stringy mess down her chin. Then she buckled, her knees giving out and dropping her to the floor. Elya fell on her face, staining it with her own dirtied blood. More hacked its way out of her mouth, spilling out across the floor. Two pools sought their ways outwards from her mouth and gut. He'd killed Ji. He'd killed Ji, and he was going to kill her. Her and everyone else. And she couldn't even croak out one last shout for them to run.
Emery the Steelrunner he/him Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Viator gasped as Elya was stabbed in the gut, but he complied with Johns request. He ripped the portal into five and sent them spinning around the mysterious man, bathing him in flames from all sides.
Mystic Syn she/her Posted July 19, 2022 Author Posted July 19, 2022 Khaos quickly sheathed his blade, jumping out of the way––the best he could, at least––of the fire, leaving a small part of his bodysuit on fire a bit. Swiftly, he fell to the ground, rolling as the fire went out, patting out any remaining embers. The Transporter’s blood was racing now. Seeing him catch fire must’ve been a sight for them. Perfect. Khaos willed the blood in the Transporter to come to a halt, bending them to cease their portals. He flicked his gazed over to the flamethrower man, and did the same.
Frustration Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 John groaned as he felt his body bend against him. He felt the his arms grow heavy, as they fought against him, swear dripped from his brow as the heat of the flamethrower washed over him. The pain was immense--whatever this mystic was he was strong-- but John could move, if only barely. Slowly inch by inch, muscles straining against some invisible force, John pulled his pistol from his waist and fired.
