Mess

Built, contained,

Stored, hidden.

 

Too much, crammed in.

Others take notice, or don’t.

 

Spilled, overflowing.

Too much, too long.

 

Relief, outpouring.

Better, at last.

 

Stung

Heart throat eyes, stung.

Pain lump tears, contained.

Held, suppressed, plastered.

 

Crack. Leak.

Courage and help.

Subsiding and reviving,

Connection and thriving.

 

Birds

Birds little, birds large,

Birds fly, birds feed,

Bird prey, birds flee.

 

Birds free?

 

Smells

As I sit here, typing away,

A warm smell grows near, to take me away.

 

The smell is one fresh, and one so inviting,

But soon it drifts past, leaving me aching.

 

Need

The need to write,

Is something I feel.

It drives me,

Fuels me,

And yet too disowns me.

 

Connection

Connection I need,

Connection I lack,

Connection I find,

Connection I lose,

Connection I crave,

Connection I regain.

 

Umm

Awkward, quiet.

Hesitation, attempt.

 

Someone else speaks,

Chances are missed.

 

They walk away,

Oblivious, unaware.

 

Remedy

Remedy, realized.

Simple, yet not.

 

Though with time I have seen,

It gets easier, indeed.

 

Some things take practice,

Repetition, not malice.

 

Remedy, applied.

Remedy, sublime.

Remedied, alive.
