What POV characters have you enjoyed the most?

As for myself:
Elantris - Hrathen, definely, simply for virtue of anti-villains being more interesting than "good guys" and IMHO he was a lot deeper then Prince Rotting and Princess Impeachment as well.
Mistborn trilogy - Spook and I´m probably going to be in minority on this one.Wasing not POV until the HoA if I remember correctly but I simply liked this "apprentice of the heroes" perspective with awkward boy trying to destroy Commieland.
Warbreaker - Lightsong. As I mentioned in my introduction thread, I haven´t liked much any of the characters in this novel but at least he was sometimes funny and in the end memorable becouse of what he had done for the good guys.
Alloy of law - Wayne.Again, refreshing source of humor, not all of it worked (I cringed at that "anotomy lessons" joke). Also, he´s Slider and I liked that series.
Alcatraz -I should have ben automatic winner, since I´m only POV but the told me that´s why I can no compete. Competinos are funny thing, just like books.

I haven´t finished WoK, so I can´t choose favorite there and Stormlight archive is far from over anyway.

That's it....this settles it! I'm gonna have to read the Alcatraz thingy...

While I haven't read WoK yet (trying to wait until he at least starts on the second one, so I'm not left all hanging on a cliff), I agree on a few of your choices, and differ on one.

Your pick for Elantris - totally spot on. I really hated him until the PoV shift, and then Hrathen became so deep that I actually cried at Sarene's comment about him at the end.

I also agree on Lightsong for Warbreaker - just a really great line.

The pick of Wayne for Alloy is easy. I just loved the cadence.

I will, however, differ on the Mistborn trilogy. Although Brandon managed to write Spook "the sidekick" in a nice (read: non-whiny kid) way, I really like Breeze's PoV's, particularly when he's pretending to read while Soothing a warehouse full of sick refugees in WoA, followed by him Soothing (and hiding!) at a city gate during the kloss attack.

"Oh, you don't disappoint me," Breeze said. "Because I don't believe what you've said. You're not meant to be an atheist, Sazed. I have a feeling you'll be no good at it -- doesn't suit you at all. You'll come around eventually."

agree with both of you about Hrathen.

Mistborn trilogy: Elend

Warbreaker: I'm going to differ from you and say Vivenna, I'm not sure why, something about her plotline and chharacter development just intrigues me. Lightsong is a close second..

Alloy of Law: Marasi because I identify with her, though again the comic relief is a close second

Way of Kings: Kaladin if the Interludes don't count, Axies the Collector if they do, because Axies the Collector was hilarious.

edit: darn typos.

Alcatraz. Everyone else is secondary.

Warbreaker - Nightblood "Hello. Would you like to kill somebody?"

AoL - Wayne. Come on, his bartering is great.

Mistborn trilogy - TenSoon.

WoK - agree with CrazyRioter, but I want a Wit PoV!

Elantris - been a while, so I cannot comment in good conscience.

Didn't we get one, at the very end?

It was more of a 3rd person and not actually Wit, IMO. If it was, though, I want more.

Mistborn trilogy: Kelsier. Every time. In the later books, the Kandra POVs were a lot of fun, as well.

Warbreaker: Like so many, I will have to choose Lightsong, though Vivenna is a close second, due to her character growth, and the fact that she let me see more of Denth (AKA, my favorite Brandon Sanderson character of all time).

Elantris: I will buck the trend and say Raoden. Hrather was the most engaging character, but Raoden's chapters were the ones where things really moved forward. They were much more filled with engaging foils, advancing goals, magic secrets, and the general heart of why I read books than the other two.

Alloy of Law: I honestly found Wayne funniest when we just saw his communication, rather than his internal crowing about how he was setting his buddy up with a girl. Wax's POVs got plenty of Wayne's jokes, but tempered them with a longer perspective Wayne generally lacks (although it was awesome to, after seeing through Wayne's eyes how much work he puts into using his accent and body language to make everyone open up around him, switch to Wax assuming it's all purely subconscious).

Mistborn: Vin and Tensoon, I really liked seeing what the Kandra homeland and other Kandra were like
Elantris: Raoden, it's been a while since I read Elantris, but I remember enjoying his chapters the most, so many cool things happening
Warbreaker: Lightsong, that guy was hilarious
WoK: Kaladin, probably would be my top pick out of all of the books

Mistborn: Sazed - I just found his knowledge and power interesting.
Elantris: Raoden - I like perseverance and a good puzzle, so I'm partial to him.
Warbreaker: Siri - because you get Susebron's Story, and I agree Lightsong was very funny.
WoK: Kaladin, again great character development, plus I like Syl.

Mistborn: Kelsier

Warbreaker: Vasher

Alkatraz: Grandpa Smedry ;D

Who was Kar?

My overall favourites would be Marsh, TenSoon, Kaladin and Hrathen.

Kar was the head Inquisitor. I think he might have replaced Bendal, who was killed by Kelsier, but their relative rank is never made clear. He convinces TLR to execute the High Prelan of the Canoton of Orthodoxy, Tevidin Tekial, (aka Vin's dad) and to make the Canton of Inquisition the head Canton of the Steel Ministry. He throws Vin in the jail cell and is planning on torturing her later. He's killed when Vin breaks into TLR's throne room and Marsh pulls out his linchpin spike.

WoK - I don't really have a favorite here. If I had to, Kaladin, but it's more the particular scenes I prefer.
Mistborn - Vin.
Elantris - Currently re-listening to this, no comment until I re-finish it :P
Warbreaker - Lightsong. He's just too awesome :).
And, Alcatraz is amazing. Fish just don't count as viewpoint characters, though ):.

Elantris- Sarene/Hrathen. Yes that's two, but it's only because I love how their POVs work in unison, and the contrasting yet interwoven viewpoints they offer. I think Elantris is the book Brandon does the best with weaving seemingly disparate points of view together. Even though Sarene and Hrathen never really have a real conversation with each other, he is still able to create a relationship between them, and I think that's really neat.

Warbreaker- Lightsong (Siri as a close second).

Mistborn- Vin (or, if you count epigraphs, Alendi and Kwaan, love the narrative within a narrative there).

WoK- Shallan or Szeth I guess. None of the point of views in this book really stood out from the rest for me, but maybe that will change with future books.

Alloy of Law - Ummmmmmm.... not coming up with any at the moment, but I am looking forward to seeing more of Wax's uncle. I would have said Miles if he didn't get all preachy villain at the end.
