Chiberty Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 (edited) Brandon unveiled a simpler Stormlight symbol for easier marketing that he described as a space-age symbol. The new symbol will still be used, but this one will be used if a simpler one is needed. https://www.brandonsanderson.com/alternate-stormlight-symbol-reveal/ Edited April 9, 2020 by ChickenLiberty 7
+Keeper Exile Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I just read about that! I think that they did a good job of simplifying it, and I am really looking forwards to the other Cosmere symbols. And I wonder what they will do for ones like Threnody, which is already quite simple.
Wyndlerunner he/him Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I like the parallelism to the standard Cosmere symbol in there. It's pretty cool
Honorless he/him Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 The Scadrial symbol would remain the same, I think, as would Taldain and First of the Sun. Nalthis' flower might be changed to look like five rays of light. How would the simplified Sel symbol look?

Um, I don't think the Derethi would like that or the people of the Rose Empire or the people of the unnamed third empire. Unless Elantris rises in prominence again, and surpasses even its old power. Edit: just realized that the current symbol is a Soulstamp. Maybe because the MaiPonese were Realmatically aware? Edited April 16, 2020 by R J
