Popular Post Shivertongue he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Popular Post Posted March 26, 2012 I should warn you, I'm sleep deprived and I've had a few drinks, but I think this is a sound theory. Credits go to my friend Thorin for helping to develop it. Brandon Sanderson is a Twinborn, with DOUBLE SODIUM! He has hidden this from the readers, did not include it in Mistborn, but Sodium is Allomantic! This is the truth behind his salt addiction! Burning sodium pushes creativity, and Feruchemical sodium stores IDEAS! He's been storing ideas in Sodium, then COMPOUNDING IT, burning the ideas to create a GIANT EXPLOSION OF AWESOME IDEAS! That is how he creates such brilliant stories! You cannot dispute my logic. Still skeptical? Consider this: He lives near the largest salt water lake in the western hemisphere. An endless supply of sodium. I rest my case. Edit: Yes, yes, I know it's sodium chloride. Shut up. 78
Voidus Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) Well it would have to be sodium chloride not pure sodium, or he would spontaneously combust upon ingestion Edit: Never!!!!!!!! Double Edit: Also NaCl isn't a metal Edited March 26, 2012 by Voidus 8
Shivertongue he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Well it would have to be sodium chloride not pure sodium, or he would spontaneously combust upon ingestion See my edit. Edit: Never!!!!!!!! Double Edit: Also NaCl isn't a metal NaCl is sodium chloride. Sodium is a metal. Therefore, there is metal in NaCl. 2
Voidus Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 true! also, cookies have carbon in them, diamonds are made from carbon, therefore my cookie is a diamond! 14
Tulir he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 This is bad!!! Because then it needs to be part either atium or lerasium without breaking The Rule of 16. 1
Voidus Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Actually it would still break the rule of 16 even if it was an atium/lerasium alloy, because it would still be an allomantic metal when not alloyed. UNLESS it was it's own god metal, which also makes it a metal even if it's not and would make this theory work, and due to the extreme awesomeness of Brandons ideas I propose that Sodium Chloride is the god metal of Adonalsium himself!
Bunyod he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Brandon Sanderson is a Twinborn, with DOUBLE SODIUM! If Mistborn = Twinborn Then Mistings = Twinings Tea Tea does not taste good with salt Your theory is fault. 14

Agree!!!! Sodium Chloride shall henceforth be known as The Epic God Metal! 2
Voidus Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I am substituting that for salt in every conversation I ever have, hey did you know that 97% of the salts found in the ocean is The Epic God Metal!!!? 5
Odium's_Shard Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Did you know that the Dead Sea is named so because it has so much The Epic God Metal in it that when any animals wishing to live in it breath in the water, their minds are so suddenly filled with creativity that they implode and die based on the law of The Epic God Metal makes you mentally insane. 4
CrazyRioter she/her Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 OMG it is so EPIC! I'mma get me some fries covered in EPIC GOD METAL! 1
Shivertongue he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 true! also, cookies have carbon in them, diamonds are made from carbon, therefore my cookie is a diamond! False. Try again. If Mistborn = Twinborn Then Mistings = Twinings Tea Tea does not taste good with salt Your theory is fault. Nope. Mistborn =/= Twinborn. Two entirely different concepts. My theory is sound. 1
Odium's_Shard Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 As sound as the The Epic God Metal? I thought not. Now hush as me and CrazyRioter enjoy our chips while watching a giraffe king. 1
Shivertongue he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 As sound as the The Epic God Metal? I thought not. Now hush as me and CrazyRioter enjoy our chips while watching a giraffe king. I was the one who discovered that The Epic God Metal is The Epic God Metal, fool! My theory is always as sound as The Epic God Metal, because it is The Theory OF The Epic God Metal!
Sweetness she/her Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 The Epic Theory of The Epic God Metal? I don't think this thread is epic enough, guys. 1
Odium's_Shard Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Why don't we just call everybody who has so far participated in this thread a 'Discoverer of The Epic God Metal'? Signature material, that.
Commander Spoonface he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 So there are the 16 normal metals, the 16 Lerasium based metals and 16 Atium based metals... Are there also 16 Epic Metals? 1
Odium's_Shard Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Yes. And each one leads to high levels of cholesterol and likelihood of heart attacks and/or strokes. Also, on an interesting side note, they somehow boost the creativity of the Allomancer and are able to store the ideas of Feruchemist. Here are the ideas for names: The Epic God Metal Misting: Glutton or Muse (take your pick depending on your standpoint with sodium chloride) The Epic God Metal Ferring: Novellist or Brainstorm Also: there should be an external user of the Epic God Metal called an Inspirator and an external Ferring of the Epic God Metal called a Larcenist (can steal and store peoples ideas). Anyway, as another side note, there should be external Feruchemy! It would be EPIC (may contain salt). 2
lyssie95 she/her Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) I propose it be called The Epic God "Metal" to be slightly more accurate. That said, I am a proponent of this theory. Edit-nevermind. Love the way it is written in Odium's sig Edited March 26, 2012 by lyssie95
Tulir he/him Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) Edited out what I said. Didn't see Odiums Post. To the signature, everyone!! Edit2: I was the one who discovered that The Epic God Metal is The Epic God Metal, fool! My theory is always as sound as The Epic God Metal, because it is The Theory OF The Epic God Metal! I named, it, admin!! Bow before me!! (Don't hurt me. You are theorizer of Epic God Metal, I am namer. Please. ) Edited March 26, 2012 by Tulir 1

Hmm.Sodium. Oh dear. 27
lyssie95 she/her Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Hmm. Sodium. Oh dear. Nooooooooooo! By the way, you are my hero
Aiken Frost he/him Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Ooo! Ooo! I need to participate too! I'll be... uh... Flamethrowing. Yeah! I'm the official Epic God Metal Flamethrowerer!
EHyde she/her Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I dunno, Epic God Metal sounds more like a music genre to me. Also this thread has given me a craving for double salt licorice, even though it isn't actually sodium that gives that its flavor... 3
