  1. I just realized that Herdazians are the Rosharan equivalent of Mexicans, at the end.
  2. If only. Oh to walk those hallowed grounds.
  3. Awesome, thanks! How do/did you guys read the unpublished stuff? I'm assuming it's not just floating around.
  4. What about the "Men of Honor" that Amaram mentioned? Do we think that's a group, or just a generalized phrase used for himself because he believes he's right?
  5. Ok, what is the gemstone metaphor? And I didn't realize that Hoid had a master at one point. The only Cosmere books that I haven't read are Mistbor 2-3 and Allow of Law (I think), so if either of these answers are there, then I guess I'll get to them.
  6. I see it as more of a Warbreaker-esque thing. He perceives himself differently, and so he looks different. The really big question regarding Hoid for me was whether this second letter-which seems to be a reply to the first-prove or disprove that the first one was from Hoid? There are several statements in it which make it seem less likely that he wrote the original one. But I'd like others' thoughts since I'm new at this theorizing bit.
  7. I will speak to Brandon for those readers who cannot speak for themselves.
  8. I wouldn't put it past him or Peter for a second.
  9. I think we can be pretty sure that once there was an established order of Radiants, that the next generations were trained rather than having to discover everything for themselves. Starting as squires. Not that they didn't need to embody the ideals of their orders, just that they were much more likely to do so than anyone else.
  10. Like most protective men, he probably didn't want to involve immediate members of his family with what could have been (and was) a dangerous enterprise that no one had ever undertook (meaning bringing back the heralds and the gods). And didn't confide in Dalinar for the reasons you stated.
  11. I knew I saw a question like this. It was on Reddit lol.
  12. Can I upvote this 9,000 times? I saw the start of the triangle and started yelling at Brandon not to do it. When I see him at a signing, I'm going to beg him not to.
  13. Yes he did. I SO did not call that one. It also bears mentioning the following: One cousin is dead (at least so he thinks). His betrothed just skyrocketed past him in social standing from out of nowhere. His father, instead of fading away eventually-as it looked like might happen-just became one of the four most important people currently around. His younger, weaker, brother just got launched up there too. Not to mention a certain dark eyed gentleman, who happened to spend a night in a highstorm with his betrothed, sharing their deepest darkest secrets while huddled together in a mess of tangled hair and limbs, also became important (alongside this certain betrothed). This leaves Adolin-who was supposed to be one of the most important people around-as an outsider, even to his own family and betrothed. Adolin does not have happy times ahead of him me-thinks.
  14. The boots. The massive arena duel. Syl defying the Stormfather to come back to Kaladin (not going to lie, that brought tears to my eyes even through the third read of that section) coupled with Kaladin becoming a full radiant and declaring the Radiants returned. Kaladin's second fight with Szeth (primarily him saving Dalinar and then declaring that the winds and the sky were his). The gathering of the 4 Radiants. And finally, Hoid conversing with the creatures while waiting for Jasnah to appear (which I KNEW would happen, Brandon you tricksey trickster!). And that's just off the top of my head.
  15. Sooner or later all the Heralds "should" reclaim theirs I'd think. But, I'm not even mildly an expert on the Heralds.
  16. That could very well be. I haven't the slightest hint what the descriptions of Cohesion and Tension are supposed to mean. I just saw Progression as more of a healing/growing thing and not a numbers thing.
  17. I don't know. We know he has prophecy, and we've seen both Illumination and Progression, and neither of those abilities have mentioned any sort of foresight. I think Truthwatchers are order 8, and that Cohesion has to do with seeing the future.
  18. Skybreakers are definitely either a Radiant policing, or judicial type order.
  19. Someone just message me when you smart people figure this out, lol.
  20. Not to continue with the Vasher point, but that makes total sense. Also, about the breaths he needs to live, they seem to transfer just fine onto Roshar since Hoid mentions having "perfect pitch", meaning that he has control of breaths on Roshar. Now, this may be a Hoid perk, not available to Vasher, but I think it's at least likely.
  21. Well, have fun guys. The next time I get online, it will be after I've finished WoR!
  22. Some readers are better than others, and of course it's all based on personal opinion. Me, I really can't get into audio at all. My eyes need something to do.
  23. Just when I had hope again, you had to come and put an end to it.
