  1. Try waiting anxiously for 3:00 PM to arrive so I can leave for a signing... it's nerve racking lol. Hopefully I can get some clue or hint tonight.
  2. Meh, I thread jack quite/derail often myself, usually without meaning to, so I'm not going to yell at someone else for doing the same to mine lol.
  3. It doesn't matter if Jasnah is gay, The Lopen attracts all and none shall stand before his two-handed, glowy attractiveness! Note: The above statement is purely in jest and in no way is meant to imply that homosexuality is a choice and that one can be "made/turned" straight.
  4. Well, then we have the whole Dawnshard thing, but we have no idea if they're actually weapons in the sense that a radiantblade is a weapon. If awakened blades are under the whole radiantblade category, then Dawnshards might actually be blades of some sort.
  5. Much Peter. Such hhhehehe. Very tease. Wow. (Sorry, my inner child couldn't help itself.)
  6. That.... is the best thing I've seen in a while...
  7. I'm going to try to procure a recorder for the signing tonight.
  8. The Desolations and the Recreance are the biggest thing that I theorize on in my head. We know so little of these events, and we know they're going to play a large part in the future. We know from WoB that the Desolations come when the Heralds brake on Braize (the Braize part is not confirmed, just the Herald part). But the Parshpeoples exist on the planet between desolations (or do they...) so what is it about the torture, Honor dying, the Oath pact, and the KR that triggers the Parshpeople just as the Heralds return? And how do all these pieces fit together?
  9. Wait, so the continent actually takes up a small percentage of the total surface area of the planet. This means that Shadesmar has considerably more landmass than the physical realm does.
  10. Well, technically a shardblade is a blade that works off of investiture and has gained sentience, so if you don't HAVE to include spren in the definition of shardlade then NB fits.
  11. Has anyone even been thinking along the right lines or are we all delusional and completely missing the whole thing?
  12. I'm in favor of The Lopnah. All other joinings are inferior.
  13. So have we discovered the thingy yet?
  14. If you guys haven't figured it out by tomorrow evening, I'll probably ask Brandon which map holds the thingy we're supposed to find. I can't stand knowing that there are more clues out there to find lol.
  15. Email probably
  16. That would definitely be very interesting, but has Sazed even met Hoid?
  17. This is a good idea. My avatar has the Dustbringer glyph, so as you might guess, I'm very interested in seeing what's up with them. Maybe something as simple as, "What can you tell me about the Dustbringers?" Edit: I was just thinking about the letter in WoR, and thought of another possible question. Is the letter's author on Roshar? We know the author is from Yolen, but we don't know how connected he is to the events in the SA books.
  18. Hmm, how would you suggest wording it? I put down a generic question, "can normal humans bond an Honorblade?"
  19. I forgot, my brother is coming with me, so I can have him ask some questions too (he hasn't read the books yet, so I won't have him ask anything too spoilery).
  20. Ah, that's much better, thanks! I know that he'd probably sneak around this one if the wording wasn't right. But then again, I might just get RAFOed :/
  21. Ok, I'm going to the Dayton signing tomorrow, and have been struggling over what questions to ask him. I want to get you guys' opinions on these and to make sure they haven't been asked before (I've read all the WoB threads, but am in no way an expert). I know I wont be able to ask all of these most likely, so make sure to note which ones you guys think are the better questions. I'll add more if there are other, better questions that I haven't thought of. Also, check my wording to make sure I wont get a correct, but wrong answer. 1. After Kaladin betrayed his oaths, was syl as dead as the spren that died during the Recreance? (This is more of a personal question, since I don't think she was truly "dead".) 2. Does Taln still have his Honorblade? (Help on wording this appropriately is welcome.) 2b. Can normal humans bond Honorblades? 3. What caused a desolation to end? Was it just the defeat of Odium's forces? (Since he's basically confirmed that a Desolation was started when the Heralds broke in torture, there might be an additional element to the end of a desolation as well.) 4. If the Parshendi/Parshmen are the VB, then why weren't they wiped out after the end of the Desolations? 5. Are the events in WoR before or after the events in Warbreaker? 6. Which map contains the easter egg? All comments are welcomed. Edit: This is a pretty good question. Anyone know if he's answered it? It seems a little RAFOy to me, so I'm not sure if I want to risk it.
  22. Lmao, lets us bask in our manly whimpers together then.
  23. Unless we've been assuming too much about Honorblades. Maybe the difference is that the other Honorblades (Szeth's included) were from Heralds that broke the Oathpact. Maybe the fact that Taln didn't break has a different impact on his blade and how others react to it.
  24. I'm going. I'm 3 hours out as well (from Kokomo, IN). I called Books & Co. and as far as I understood it, you just had to buy A book there, not WoR. I was planning on getting the WoK hardback since I only have the paperback of that one. I really hope that's the case, because it will be hard to justify having 2 hardcover WoR, and no hardcover WoK lol.
  25. Hm, or do spren purposefully cause situations in which people will break so they are able to bond with them? Maybe spren are more evil puppet masters than helpful friends. That would explain the "supernatural" element.
