  1. I heard he went and met up with Zahel drinking ale and glaring at young Brightlords
  2. I couldn't even turn the damnation pages because i was quivering with so much anticipation (Spren)
  3. I just think he wasn't faithful, Navani once said "Gavilar is dead, i was never unfaithful while he lived. Though the Stormfather knows i had ample reason" I just think it was an unhappy mariage i also think she knows a little of what he was up to. I think in the upcoming books we will find out he wasn't the man he pretended to be...
  4. It might have been just highlighting that Bridge four are now free men and can go where they want instead of being clustered together all the time. But knowing BS it will probably be dire Intel in the future books and will be referenced in the cosmere somewhere
  5. When i was reading WOR it seemed like to me the Parshendi were actually quite decent until the Red Spren infected them, i have a theory that they can also do the same thing to humans? By committing an evil act you open yourself up to them. In the book it says something like (cant remember the quote) 'Voidbringers in the hearts of men' To me i think there might be something to look for in that as a lot of Rosharan folklore is eerily true. However I don't think he is going bad i read the some of the KR Orders would have agreed with what he did, don't forget that Jasnah killed those robbers without seeming to break her Nahel bond. I think in the next book this will be his trial coming to terms with what he did and probably becoming a Dustbringer either that he'll be too busy trying to cover his own chull to go evil. (if you haven't guessed im not much of an Adolin fan)
  6. Hi everybody, so now that Words of Radiance is out and im guessing everybody on here has already read it i wanted to make a thread about the third installment of the series. There was so much in the second book, Ghostbloods, epic fight scenes, the meeting between major characters and their growth as individuals, so much new info and hints of things to come. I just wanted to know what you are most looking forward to in the next book personally im looking forward to, Szeths past and his progress in the Skybreakers. Hoid and his road trip with Jasnah. The secret societies and their numerous plots. Axies and his various and inconvenient incarcerations. Finding out what that damnation code means!! The Unmade Kaladin finally bringing a girl home to meet his parents and the reunion between him Roshone and Laral. The whole point of this thread is just what you want and what you suspect will happen in the next book
  7. I cant decide if Kaladin is just naturally a perfect candidate for a Windrunner or he might be the successor of Jezrien?
  8. Personally i think Kaladin should keep Jezrien's Honorblade as a Symbol for being the leader of the Windrunners. The third Oath allows the Spren to become a Shardblade the Fourth Oath may allow Shardplate or Syl might have to choose to be one or the other. I think he should keep it and return it to Jezrien or become a Herald himself. Can't explain why but it makes me uneasy the thought of him just giving it away. I think that Adolin and Kaladin are getting along better but i think they have a conflicting motion on honor/justice and i don't think he should have it just because he feels left out.
  9. Hahahaha i know how you feel! The goodreads page says 2015 and he has finished the steelheart sequel i would say about 18 months, i read somewhere he is going to try to keep the Stormlight Archive books about 1year - 18months apart. So i think mid/late 2015
  10. Bondsmith:Herald: Ishar Surges: Tension/Adhesion Known History: In the time before the Recreance the order was very small and likely the smallest with only 3 members. Ideals: 1.Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination 2.I will unite instead of divide 3.I will bring men together
  11. After reading Words Of Radiance Most booty kicked, Kaladin, Szeth, Dalinar Most improved, Shallan, Renarin, Adolin Interesting, Eshonai,Darkness, Ones i respect, Kaladin, Jasnah/Sigzil, Dalinar Funny, Hoid, Lopen, Scary, Mr.T, Love to hate, Amaram, Sadeas, Adolin Overall Top 10 favorites, 1.Kaladin 2.Hoid 3.Dalinar 4.Szeth 5.Bridge crew 6.Shallan 7.Jasnah 9.Renarin
  12. Everytime a new Herdazian character is introduced i instantly think 'Are they a cousin of Lopen's?
  13. I almost died at the nod toward Lopen haha!!!
  14. I thought she was good and we got to see her grow as a character. I hated the fact of that she just blanked out her past but she overcame it and grew a spine she has now moved up in my personal character ranking pole
  15. -When Kaladin was killing Syl i wanted to KILL him. -I also hated Adolin for the first half of the book he later redeemed himself when he quit being a douche. -When Kal got crippled i looked up from the book and 'gulped' then i soldiered on -A lack of Thaidakar and Restares which i was looking forward to (not a big part of the story but im dying to meet them) - Thought Emo Kal died but he was resurrected several time throughout the book - Axies ther collector poor fella was hoping for him to pop up more/ didn't read Rysn interlude in the pre chapters that was a nice surprise (he and Kaladin should have a talk about the imprisonment spren) Maybe a few more points i can't remember but it was still so epic! One of my highlights was Jasnah and Wit i fan girled so hard at that point i actually squealed!!
  16. It's all fun and games until they get caught with their fingers in the same Jam
  17. damnation where was this referenced? what chapter. I read it quickly so i could go back later and absorb it on repeated rereads Just started the mistborn series it's good but i really do prefer Stormlight Archives hands down. Im new to the cosmere so i figured i might as well read all of the cosmeres instead of relying on coppermind. Has anybody started a thread of the eggs that are referenced in this book?? I also find Szeth very honorable he sticks to what he is ordered to do no matter how distasteful he finds it. I think during the battle on the shattered plains where he goes insane i think he has reached a breaking point and it's a survival instinct to block out the pain. Bare in mind he did as he was told as truthless and has killed so many people despite how we the readers now how much he hates it. We get a hint that he tried to warn of the return of the voidbringers to his people and they made him truthless disgraced and banished him, countless murders later and all his suffering he finds out he was right....stop and think of that and how you would react. I would go to Shinovar and well.......i wouldn't even need NightBlood
  18. where was this mentioned??
  19. I thought the Heralds went solo then the Radients came and were guided by the Heralds until the last desolation 4500 years before the start of the series. (Broken Oathpact) Then the Radients stuck around for a while until they eventually/inevitably broke their oaths and scattered. (Day of Recreance) Then a few centuries later the Hierocracy of the church took place but was beaten and broken into the devotaries.
  20. Don't know if he's right but i wouldn't disagree with him
  21. Where can one read dragonsteel?? or even a little clip? I read a little of LOP please help a brother out??
  22. He seems to be gathering a little of each worlds magic then he's going to do something chaotic. That boy..
  23. I read the part where they sort of bonded in the chasm and i liked it Read the bit where Kal sat on a rock and watched her ride away with a prince and he was happy for her i was like poor guy :') Then when she thought how she liked Adolin but he was no Kaladin i was like-----OMG love triangle! I think she will end up with Adolin and Kal might end up with somebody else if he doesn't end up doing a heroic sacrifice. I think the relationship between Kal and Shallan was just suddenly deepened when they realized how broken they both were and how much they had in common. Then Kaladin stopped being "such a hateful man" and he stopped thinking of her as a spoiled lighteyes. We got another glimpse of this tarah! how long will you drag this on I'm dying to know!!
  24. Hope not. I think he just needs to be Kaladins dad or it would feel like handing everybody powers :/ Although i will admit he has got the right temperament for a KR maybe Regrowth if he has to be a Surgebinder.
  25. Hahaha I've stopped dismissing anything in these books
