  1. Yeah, that's what I get for listening to the audio book rather than reading the hardcopy. After going back in it to check I see that I was indeed wrong. The wording made it seem much more like the dagger than the Shardblade to me.
  2. Huh? Why would Oathbringer be outside? I think you are mistaking Adolin throwing the dagger he killed Sadeas with outside with Oathbringer. As far as I could tell he left Sadeas and Oathbringer where they were. Nevermind, audiobook confused me, didn't see the capital B.
  3. I believe at one point while Kaladin is all "Ima kill everybody cause I hate them all" Syl says something along the lines of "You're not supposed to be like this, you're not a Skybreaker", so I'm thinking he might become a Skybreaker it seems to point to them being angry and vengeful. (Too lazy to look up actual quotes, it's a big book, too much time, sorry)
  4. This is not quite true as Glys, Renarin's spren is male. Unless of course that theory of Renarin secretly being female is true.... (Please no)
  5. It might just be me hoping (Lopen is quite possibly my favorite character in this book), but the whole idea of he can't be a KR because no spren seems a little off. I mean both Kaladin and Dalinar drew in stormlight before any obvious spren interactions. Yes they had spren when they willingly drew in stormlight, but Lopen already knew about it and had been trying every day since he saw Kaladin do it. It's not completely off to think he might have just been able to before we saw any spren. Though I do not dismiss the idea of him being a squire, I just think it's a little early to call it.
  6. You may be on to something here. Maybe us the Alethi alphabet which I believe is 25 characters and then you get 0-9 as well which can represent all numbers? Though I'm not sure the Alethi alphabet would be applicable here since he says he created a new script of his own. Also would he even us that alphabet as he himself is not Alethi, not sure if they use the same alphabet.
  7. I did the same. You'd think they would have thought, "hmm the first time we did this they told us to stop, so let's not put up any more", not "Hmm they didn't like it the first time, let's put up a different one and see if they care about that one" Silly amazon.
  8. Interesting. So amazon seems to have a new sneak peek up, not the chapter 7 they had before but still stuff that isn't from the releases. I'm not sure if it's because I preordered and now I get the "Look Inside" thing or if its for everyone, but there are interludes and chapter 13 and 76 and quite a few more. I haven't really read any of them, and they don't look like full chapters, but just a few pages of some of them, but interesting. Probably some big spoilers in them, read at own risk. Not posting a link in case it's not intended.
  9. There have been some theories that the Parshendi use spren for new forms. Is it possible this is from the viewpoint of one of them in Stormform (requires a windspren?) that is dying or viewing the dead? Though I think the idea of it being Syl's words about someone else to be very plausible as well. I sincerely doubt that Kaladin or Syl will die as all of the reviews I've seen are positive saying it's great, I feel like at least one person who wrote a spoiler-free review would have said they were mad or didnt like it if one of these two died. Also.... WHY ISN'T THE BOOK HERE YET?!?!?! (I may be going insane)
  10. This is a very interesting idea. Especially considering the line in Szeth's first chapter. I know this doesn't mean he made a black hole, but it's interesting that reverse lashings can have similar properties of bending light toward it. Also it is stated that reverse lashing's take comparatively little Stormlight, so it might make it easier to create since not as much Stormlight is needed. As far as the Windrunner dying because of the black hole, they seem to be immune to the gravitational effects of the the reverse lashing. When they stand in contact with the object to infuse the reverse lashing it doesn't pull Szeth towards it, but instead pulls things around him towards it.
