  1. Signing up! I'll just be Joe again for this, since I don't quite know what I'll be in here.
  2. Night 8: One step forward, Two steps back. Aranard Longbeard wrapped the bandage tighter around his abdomen. He knew it wouldn’t help, the wound was too deep, but he would survive long enough to see the Marquis lynched. He had too. His fellows wouldn’t survive if he didn’t. But then, they might not even if he did get lynched. the shards were just at too much of an advantage. Or maybe not. The more he thought about it, the less likely their advantage was. How many shards were shattered now? Preservation, Ruin and Dominion. Hoid was known, and there was dissension in the ranks. They could probably feed that dissension into a civil war. The worldhoppers were beginning to gather again. some watched him warily, believing him to serve Odium, while others watched him hopefully, as they were his kin and hoped he would survive. None of them wanted to be the next lynched though. Most of them didn’t even want to lynch anyone. They walked around, talking quietly among small groups, trying to figure out what to do. It wasn’t helping that Hobbes and the shards were being so tightfisted about what info they gave out. Worldhoppers began to half-heartedly call out names of who to lynch, but gave up when Hobbes glared at them. Finally, Bort called out Animus’ name. “He’s been pretty quiet this whole time! not attracting any attention, and just ignoring the rest of us.” Bort looked around at the others, but nobody gave a glare or a nod, so he petered off. Until the Shin stood up. “If we want to find Odium, we need everyone to talk, so I agree with Bort here. Animus? What do you say?” The Shin stepped up next to Bort to stare down the dark-eyed man. Animus shrunk beneath their gaze, and looked around for support. Seeing none forthcoming, he spoke. “I, don’t really know anything. Everyone I thought was Odium is dead, so, I don’t think i’ll vote just yet.” Aranard stood up, shaking in pain, and addressed the crowds once more. “Fellows, I already told you, we need to lynch the Marquis. WIthout them, we’ll be able to find Odium quicker, as we’ll know what the shards no.” He started panting, as the Worldhoppers looked on. “We need to free ourselves not just from Odium’s Influence, but from the Tyranny of the Shards!” There was a wrenching inside him, as if his insides were being rearranged. “So I call for us all to lynch Frank the Blacksmith!” He paused, that hadn’t been what he’d meant to say at all. Then his legs gave out and he fell to his knees. Somebody walked up to him, and continued to speak. “Dear friends, we should honour this man’s dying wish and Lynch Frank, as he said. Doing so will put us a step closer to finding Odium!” Aranard couldn’t make out who was speaking as his gaze fuzzed over, but he could make out the crowd’s discontent at this statement. “No! We believe that Animus is . . . you’ve got evi. . . He could barely hear what the crowd was saying as he finally slipped away into the peace of death. Nor did he see the red smoke billowing out of his corpse, and the crowd rushing away, too pancked to make a decision that day. Feligon (2): Araris Tulir (2): Bort, Lightsworn Panda Pifferdoo (0): Bort (1): Tulir Araris was a Voidbringer of Odium! The vote was tied! No one was lynched! Night 8 will end . . . Eventually. It won’t be Friday at 10, it might be Saturday at 10. if not, it will be sometime sunday. I apologize again for the inconvenience.

  11. Day 8: A Noticeable lack of Puns. Preservation floated in the endless space wherein his planet used to be. Had Ruin still been alive, he might have been able to rebuild it, but he alone could not. All he could do was preserve the wreckage as a gave to those whom he’d tries to save. But Odium had taken them. If only he had been able to take up Ati’s Shard, so that he could slaughter Odium himself. But no matter, he had business to be about tonight. He flowed through the barrier into Shadesmar, coming out in the same forest where Ruin had died. His power would be too easily sensed here, so he formed his Physical Body, the one the Worldhoppers knew.. He walked through the forest, intending to visit the clearing where Ruin had died. He had preserved that too, as a final resting place for the man who was once his friend. As he got closer to the clearing, he could Hear voices, two of them, lamenting for their fallen friend. Some of the Shards must have come to visit as well. But which ones? Endowment maybe? or Cultivation? He pushed through the last of the branches, entering the clearing and raising his hand. “Hello brothers, how are you today?” The two froze, then turned around slowly. They were not Shards, nor were they lamenting over Ruin’s Body, but that of Vineyerian. Odium’s new Shardholder. The three of them stared at eachother, none of them quite knowing what to do, before the taller of the two spoke up. “So, kill him instead?” “Yeah, that’d be smart.” Preservation shot backwards through the trees as Odium and the Champion began to give Pursuit. He didn’t get very far before tripping over a root, falling hard. He scrambled to his feet and tried to continue running, but the Champion tackled him from behind. The smoke blurred man pulled out a Short sword, and stabbed him through the heart. Preservation cried out in pain, and dropped his physical body. Leaving Raiki’s corpse on the floor of the forest as he continued to flee. A fire bloomed within him, and he was pulled to a halt by Odium’s power. The Shard was too strong for Him to break free. The Broken one expanded, surrounding him with Red Smoke. SO BROTHER. IT DOESN’T APPEAR YOU’LL BE PRESERVED. Preservation blinked. That pun was awful. “You haven’t been doing this for very long, have you? SHUT UP. “No seriously, I won’t be Preserved? That’s just, stupid. Say, is that how you managed to kill Dominion? Just got him laughing at your stupidity so he wasn’t paying attention?” OH STORM OFF. LIKE YOU COULD DO BETTER. “It appears you will be Ruined as well? Duh.” The weight of Odium’s hatred and now, annoyance, was palpable. But hey, if he was going to die, he should get his kicks in while he could. The Sphere of Smoke surrounding him shrunk, forcing him to burn power away to stay alive. He couldn’t hold it for long, Odium was much more experienced in this style of combat. The power began to slip away, as his consciousness faded, until finally he felt it leave entirely, leaving him empty. He could feel his mind being pulled away as well. His last sight was of Odium’s angry eyes. Twelfthrootoftwo was Preservation! Preservation was Shattered! The Day will end on Thursday the 24th, at 10pm PST.
  12. The best thing is, Both Blackwave and I knew this! I've been using Eyepatches to get night vision for years now.
  13. Last cycle you were really hoping to be the one to kill Peng. Are you telling me that doesn't make your character horrible?
  14. Blackwave crouched down to look in the man’s eyes. “You really sure you want to join my Crew?” The man, hesitated, glancing over his shoulder at the burning city, then nodded. Blackwave grinned and stood up. the two Mariners pulled the kneeling man to his feet. “Alright then. I’ll let you join me crew if you do something for me.” “I’ll do anything, err, m’Lord?” The man’s eyes went from side to side at his captors. “Captain will do. Now, do you see my crew?” The man nodded. “ They’re a right fearsome bunch of Pirates. But they’re all too good at their jobs. Not a one of them have taken a blade to the eye. And I’ve always wanted a crewmember with an Eyepatch. That’s classical Piracy right there.” The man stiffened, as he realized what Blackwave was going to require. “So, I’ll let you join my crew, If you give yourself an Eyepatch.” He pulled one of his daggers out of his hip sheaths and handed it, handle first, to the now quivering man. “You’ve got one minute to do it, or I’ll give Brother Sharkbait another gift.” The prisoner stared at the dagger, then hesitantly took it. He raised it towards his face, then stopped, lowering it. He trembled as he stared at the thin Dagger. After 10 seconds had passed, Blackwave spoke again.“20 Seconds left.” He folded his arms, and stared at the man. Finally, the man lifted the dagger again, pointing it towards his left eye. He hesitated briefly, then squeezed his eyes shut and slammed the dagger in. Huh. No one else has actually had the guts to take up that offer. Should he follow through? He rubbed his stubble, looking at the bleeding man, then made his decision. “Take him aboard and see to it that he survives.” The two men picked him up, and dragged him onto the ship. Blackwave himself turned to view where Clockwave was directing the last of the loading. Soon they could leave this town. Calico harry tapped him on the shoulder, then jumped back as Blackwave swung his sword, nearly killing him. Calico always did that. He was the only one who could sneak up on Blackwave. “Captain. Calling War has accepted the bounty. The payment will be delivered to Hawaii for us. I don’t think he wants us to come back to his town.” They had flooded the town for fun on their way out, after accepting the bounty. “And we have a new call. An anonymous Benefactor wants to hire us to kill or capture another Epic.” “Who’s the Epic?” “Bloody Mary. Spymaster of Astoria. Queen Lucienta’s underhand Man.” “Ha! I’ve had my eyes on that there city for ages! The amount of loot in a city like that? Good work Calico, I guess I’ll leave ye alive for another week. Does the council have anything for us?” Calico shook his head. “None captain. We’re free to continue. Astoria isn’t even that far away from us. We can make it there with in an hour if we need to.” The Dread Pirate Blackwave mused on that. If they went now, and all out attacked, they could get into the city. But they didn’t know where Bloody Mary would be, nor did they know what other epics served the Diamond Queen. “No, make way for Longbeach. They’ll have information on the city. When we know what scunners are there to fight, then we’ll go. I don’t like surprises.” Calico smirked. “In that case I’ll remove the slave from your quarters. I put her there as a gift for you, but,” He left the sentence open, letting Blackwave fill it in in his mind. “Idjit. Leave her there.” A new slave. His last one had managed to get her hands on a knife and killed herself. He’d been looking for a new one for a while. Clockwork blew a horn, signalling that everyone was aboard, other than Calico and Blackwave. They turned together and strode up the gangplank onto the Tidebreaker. The finest Ship that there ever was. As soon as they were aboard, the sails dropped, and the wind picked up. Calico headed for the Wheel, to tell Wandersail and Catchwind where they were heading. Blackwave himself dropped his hand over the side, pulling up a tendril of water. When it reached his hand, he connected to the sea, and suddenly, the waves stopped, changing direction, forcing them away from Cannon Beach. The wind changed direction to match, and suddenly they were shooting along faster than any Speed Epic dreamed of. Long Beach would soon regret being near Astoria. Soon they would regret ever living on the coast. But then, most people did now days.
  15. Night 7: Unanswered Questions Aranard Longbeard watched Eol’s from the shade of a distant tree. He hadn’t none the man very well, but he didn’t need to know anything other than the fact that he was a Shard to know he was crem. He had been one of Hoid’s shadow Council, the one that was controlling everything. In fact, from the looks He was getting, Gerard was probably keen to lynch him next. Well, he wouldn’t let that happen. He hated Odium just as much as the next guy, But what was the point in killing him if doing so put The Cosmere in the Control of a small group of 7 people. He needed to do something. He needed to rouse the Worldhoppers to action, lest the end in a tyranny worse than being killed by Odium. He started walking towards the platform above the grave, where The good captain was speaking about honour in these dark times. Captain Junglewood was just finishing his speech when he was shoved away from the platform. Longbeard took his place and addressed the assembled Worldhoppers. “Worldhoppers of all types, I call you to join with me! We may be about to win this war, but we will not truly have gained a victory, for our very lives and actions are being controlled by the Shards! While the shards may be acting in our own best interests, they have not shared anything with the worldhoppers except when one of us intrudes upon their inner circle, only to be met with a fierce response of harsh votes. In order to force the shards to include us in the workings of this war, I call for a lynch on Cultivation!” The stunned crowd looked on as he he ranted, pitching his voice to make everything sound believable. “Now, based upon the first contact that I was placed in very early into the game, before much coordination could have taken place, which was between myself and Scree, I am strongly suspicious of Pifferdoo as Cultivation, since he was in a contact group with Scree and myself last war, and we were a fairly effective team. It would make sense for him to reestablish similar connections this game. While I feel no animosity towards the dear Baron, this game belongs to the village, and we should strive to take it into our own hands!” Again, he pitched his voice, this time indicating the Audience should cheer. A few of them did, rather half-heartedly. Many of them looked towards Hobbes for what they should do. Looks like he was too late, they were all firmly in The hands of the Shards. The Baron himself stepped forward and cleared his throat. “Ahem* I am Marquis de Piffletiff. The late Baron was my ancestor.” Everyone ignored him as usual. Hobbes didn’t even say anything in reply, just lifted his arm and made a gesture. Junglewood and Raiki both jumped up and grabbed his arms, holding him on the platform as Hobbes approached, unsheathing his sword on the way. Longbeard didn’t struggle. what was the point? Instead, he sucked in his cheeks, turned, and spat on Junglewood’s Face. “Hypocrite. So much for Honour”. He glared at the captain, who refused to meet his eyes, before looking back to Hobbes. The man, no, the Thing was grinning happily at the chance to kill another person. The crowd was silent as they watched Him step onto the platform, they remained so as He raised his sword, and without passing any judgement, or giving Evidence, ran the man through. Aranard fell to his knees. the two men letting him go. He clutched at the open wound on his belly, trying to keep as much violet blood inside him as he could. The three men stepped back in surprise, realizing for the first time that he wasn’t human. He looked up at Hobbes, spitting more violet blood onto the man’s boots. Then, he forced himself to let go of his abdomen, and raised one leg, resting his arm on top of it. He forced himself to his feet, meeting Hobbes awestruck eyes. He turned to the crowd, and whispered. “To think, I had so much faith in you.” Then he turned and walked away, leaving a trail of violet blood to mark his path. 17. Kobold is still Adonalsium at 9660. Edgedancer is still a Bondsmith at 3479. Please watch the next twenty upvotes carefully people!
  18. Can he remove Objects that he hasn't seen, but can easily guess? If so, he could take a bit of time and make deep thin Sinkholes openup beneath people, hen fill in said holes. He'd be very good at assasination and containment.
  19. Kobold! I found Blackwave's pony Code. When I originally posted his picture, I named the Picture his Code: nGX1L0LO3aJ00003NYOc9li1D395G3l000003PZ3f0000UG00013F03PZ4703PZ Though I've been experimenting with it, and I'm not certain this will stay as Blackwave. EDIT: This is the New Blackwave. Just a few small tweaks. mEPV70IO3aJ00000AOc9Yqn1B335G3l000005Ic3f0000UG00003F05Ic4705Ic9405Ic
  20. Shai Gaotona Emperor, dude. Ashraven
  21. @Dawnwielder Don't know if this has been asked. But What replaces the things Lock puts into storage? And what's the upper limit of Size? Can he remove things he can't see? Things like Oxygen? I'm picturing him making a large Vacuum. Not sure why he would need to.
  22. Portland. Edgedancer, would you mind if Blackwave received a bounty of Bloody Mary? He won't actually have to kill her or anything. I just need a plausible reason for him to get to Astoria.
