    Joseph Busshu reveled in the chase. The wind whipping past his ears, the crowd before him crying out in surprise as he barreled past them, the Investigators falling further and further behind as he made his way through the city. He couldn’t lose them. There were too many witnesses, but none of them knew where he was going, and once he was in his safehouse, he could wait out their siege, and kill them one at a time. “Ryuk!” He yelled. “How far behind me are they?” The Shinigami was suddenly there beside him, having been effortlessly keeping pace with him in the air. “About two blocks. I can barely make out their names from here.” Far enough. He suddenly turned, running down an alleyway between a toystore and a bakery. At the far end was a dirty, worn down wooden door. He slammed into it at full speed, breaking through it and into the dirty room beyond. It was empty, save for a firepit, and two dirty men sleeping by the wall. And a Large, metal door with a keyboard attached. He rapidly pulled it out and typed in the 27 character password. The keyboard retracted into the wall, and the door slowly swung open. He dived into the safehouse and slammed the door shut behind him. He leaned back against the cod surface, panting from the sprint. "Ryuk, go out there, tell me if you can see them." There was a pause, then Ryuk poked his head out of the door right above him. They're just coming in now." "Good." He straightened, walked over to the bank of computers, and flipped the switch. The system buzzed into life, and he could suddenly hear their frantic words out there. The intercom still worked, despite him not having been there for over a year. He pressed down on the talk button so that those outside could hear him. "Hello friends and foes. I'd apologize for killing M and L, but they were too much of a threat to me. But, you all aren't. I'm willing to work with you all to cleanse this world. We don't have to be enemies. We can be gods together of this new world I'm making." So, hello everyone. It's good to be honest. I am Ryuk's Holder, as some of you have figured out. And I have a proposotion for you. Leave me alive. My information can't die with me, since I told it all to my Partner/Boss, and if you lynch me, then my death note simply gets passed on, and you have a new person to hunt. Right now you know half the eliminators, why change that? Focus on finding Ryuk, and leave me alive. Now then, who should I kill tonight? One of the murderous brothers? The last Police officer? The FBI Agent? A random civilian? I'll let you people decide, if you let me live until you catch Ryuk.

    These are the actions of a villager who expects to die. I'm not making a Mayor. What I'm doing is putting information in the hands of someone who can confirm it, as well as using said information to find Ryuk and his Holder myself (And I think I did. Se bottom of the post). Yes, what I've done can easily be used to make a Mayor, but I will have no part in it. I have never told a player what to do. I have offered my thoughts on their best options, but I do not dictate, and so far, neither has L. Also, no one, to my knowledge, has ever Fake-claimed L. Sheep and I thought two L's had contacted us, but it was the same L. What happened was that Sheep asked for L to contact him in a PM, and L did so, but L did not reveal that he was L. However, because she was the only player to contact Sheep, Sheep assumed he was L. L told me that he hadn't told Sheep, so Sheep and I thought we had two L's. We eventually figured out what happened. 1. Lopen was unfortunately right. Despite me saying I was verified by L, no one new claimed their roles to me. 2. I am in touch with the police officer who lead the protection detail last night. They portected me last night, as I had publicly asked to be protected. I was a high priority target, it makes sense for me to be protected. 3. L only ever claimed to me. As I said above, the claim to Sheep was entirely accidental. Now for the big thing. Some few of you already know this, but I am not yet verified. L contacted me on day 1, and asked my opinion on whether he should protect me or scan player X. We eventually decided, after much back and forth, to scan a player who claimed the role of Police officer. That PO officer scanned as Guilty, and has been justifying it all this cycle. I'm inclined to think he's Ryuk's holder, but he might be a murderer. I am being scanned tonight though, so I'll be confirmed officially tomorrow.

    Just to be clear are you talking about an effect that causes slight changes that get bigger, or are you talking about somthing RippleGlyf did? EDIT: Elbereth! How do you do that every time!?

    "Does anyone want to look through their records before Sumiko burns them?" A few people raised their hands. Joseph bent over, picking the folder up from where the emissary had tossed it. He pulled out their files and passed them out, then handed the remainder to Sumiko. As he did, he whispered to her, softly enough that no one else could hear, "Once she leaves, we're going to follow her and find M. How quickly can you set up a building to burn down?" L has confirmed to me that I am innocent. He has also told me something that makes me believe completely he is L. We're going to start scanning the few Police officers that have claimed, so that we can find L a better spokesperson than I. Do we have any police who want to volunteer to go first, or any murderers who want to volunteer to not go? You can reveal in here, or in the PM with me, or not as all, as you so choose. I won't hold not revealing against you, but if you are leading the protection detail today, please get in touch. (Or the murder detail. We don't have anyone to kill yet, but we like having our options open.)

    Good news and bad news. There was a misunderstanding, and Sheep and were contacted by the same L, not two L's so Sheep and I both know who L is. So we both need to die once a holder dies. And L needs to pleasefortheloveofgod stop roleclaiming to people.

    They also know I asked for police protection early on in the cycle, and that I'm currently a high priority target. Note though, that the Officer in charge of the protection detail yesterday did not contact me. I don't know if I was protected or not.

    That is the current plan, But I will do my best to delay my death until the death of the current Holder. Because until the holder dies, we know I can't be converted, and I'd rather survive for as long as possible, and help the Town.

    We're currently working on finding a Police Officer to be L's proxy, so once that happens, we'll have someone unconvertable to announce L's findings. (Who wants to be Watari?)

    ^^I actually agree with this, that my gut is saying he's coasting, but I'd rather keep focusing on finding police/murderers for L, so I'm not going to lynch jus yet. (Plus I can justify not being killed until we kill the holder.)
