    So, I was finally able to pickup the copy of WoR that I asked Brandon to personalize. In it I asked "what type of spren did the Bondsmith order have in the past?". He responded with this picture: GoogleDrive Based on the number 3 and the picture, I'm having the crazy idea that the Bondsmiths had bonds with the spren of the moons, but that isn't really supported by anything else. Any other interpretations?

    I'd be interested to know if they are born "not 100% human", or if it relates to bathing in the pools/being able to see spren

    I think one of the keys to this will be chapter 89, "The Four". This chapter heading has Jezrien, Shalash, Ishar and Palah and the chapter has us finding our Bondsmith and Truthwatcher. Considering Palah's focus on learning, I'm going to guess Truthwater is order #5, Bondsmith is #10, leaving Willshaper as #8

    So, UPS just improved my quality of life by 1000%. I found out that Amazon finally shipped my pre-ordered book an hour ago. Being completely paranoid, I immediately started tracking it on the UPS website. Then, once the order was processed, I saw this fantastic information: "Upgrade from UPS SurePost to UPS Ground for $3.50. Upgraded orders are typically delivered a day earlier". YES!!!!! ---> BEST $3.50 EVER SPENT! **Of course, this assumes that this fits into the "typical" clause, but still, I had to try, right? Edit: UPS has confirmed that my book will be delivered this afternoon!

    I've had both good and bad experiences pre-ordering e-books from Barnes & Noble. Sometimes it's available right at 12:01 central time (not that I always check), sometimes it isn't available for another hour or so. It's also different on my different devices. Sometimes it will download on my computer, but not on my iPad. In general, I've found the nook app on the computer to be the most reliable source on a release day. I've pre-ordered the e-book from Barnes & Noble again, but will be accessing it primarily on my computer and phone while I pretend to pay attention in class. I'll switch to the hardcover as soon as I get home though, since you lose detail on the graphics with the e-book.

    I'd agree with this except for the description of her as a "woman". I think the PoV would have to view her as human-like to label her as a woman instead of just female (or femalen)

    This was my first thought, except that someone wouldn't be alive (living statue) if Jasnah or Shallan turned them to stone. Maybe there are groups besides the Parshendi who can change forms?

    To move past the "read" word choice (which is awesome! and I really hope Renarin can secretly read), "the end of all nations" is also intriguing. I wonder if this relates to Mr. T and his plan to bring down the current structure before building anew. Considering his elimination of key leaders, the end of all nations as currently defined definitely seems to be one of his goals.

    Actually, when I reread this in WOK I thought it was referring to the Red Carpet Once While flashback we got in the excerpts. In the room behind him, dark corpses stretched out on the floor. A red carpet once white. ... Father carried Shallan over the body of a woman in white. Little blood there. It was the man who bled. I think whatever happened with her father and Nan Balat involved the garden/greenery we see when Shallan starts to create an illusion on the ship

    I'm also really intrigued by the Aimians. One of the epigraphs states that the Knights Radiant built their home in the west, "in the place closest to honor". While Shinovar is the furthest west on the continent, the island of Aimia is the country furthest west on the map and its inhabitants have blue nails/hair, which is the color of Jezrien & Honor. Combined with the "scouring of Aimia" (when was that?), I'm really curious about a) what caused the scouring what is the Curse of Kind, and what caused it c) if the Aimians know more about history/the KR since they live so long (Axies didn't seem concerned that his cataloguing of spren would take a few hundred years) d) if Aimia is where we'll find Urithiru (after all, you can't walk to an island)

    I voted for Kaladin, partially because I'm greedy and partially because I think Shallan (and Pattern) need to develop a lot more before Shallan will inherently know the second ideal of the lightweavers. While the prospective KR needs to know the ideal without prompting, I think that probably develops from the symbiotic relationship with their spren. Pattern will need to become a bit more mature before that happens. For similar reasons, I think the only other reasonable option is Jasnah, except that it is Shallan's book so I expect an ideal from Shallan before Jasnah.
