  1. His ability just protected Cog from being voted on by Idrians that day and is not a definite indication of his actual guilt or innocence. I personally don't think he is PK but Meta is pretty crafty so you never really know.
  2. Snark? Where?!? Oh.... That's just Kevin
  3. Summon was lost in thought as he strolled aimlessly down the street. A lot happened the prior evening while he was sequestered away working through the bouts of depression that came with suddenly being drab after holding so much breath for countless years. They'd finally taken out one of the Pahn Kahl. It brightened his mood a little to learn his suspicions on that front hadn't been unfounded. Aili was a Returened? Summon planned on taking a hard look at the rest of that establishment's employees once the place reopened. Strangely enough, Summon happened to be passing by the Salmon at the very moment. He thought he was alone since the restaurant still hadn't reopened but he swore he heard a whisper as he neared the front door. It was so faint Summon couldn't decide if it was real or just the wind but he could swear it sounded like someone ranting. Something about openings, schedules, and not just a few obscene words. The voice slowly drifted into silence and summon shook his head a few times before continuing to walk. Just a trick of the wind. Perhaps they should find a new place to meet. Strange things keep happening at the Salmon.
  4. In the future, when undertaking a venture where you are pm'ing six people to change votes, which is extremely likely to be revealed at some point, you might want to let someone trustworthy know what you are doing so they can vouch for you later on.At the moment, all we have to go on is your word and some suspicious activity that resulted in an innocent dying instead of a PK. If you had just told Aodan what you were up to, he could simply come on and tell us that, while he doesn't want to announce who you were protecting, he can at least confirm your story which would reduce most of the suspicion. What really confuses me is why the PK even targeted you when you had just saved one of them from the chopping block..
  5. The Returned are told when they are targeted and given the option to reveal themselves publicly rather than in the write up. I'm guessing that was why Aili announced her role when she did. Nothing in the rules discount that and it has been used in previous games to try and make an evil member look innocent (that is part of the convoluted second option I mentioned above). Aili getting attacked by Jeo is no guarantee she is on our side. Case in point, notice that Aili and Jeo have been working together pretty actively since day 1. It's not proof but I'm still very suspicious of Aili. The day 1 votes also make it more or less certain Ben is clean. You technically only need to make a post like this to change your vote: "I retract my vote for Barty and vote Vard instead." It helps out Claincy with the final tally though if you go back and change your previous vote to green as well. Edit: Formatting adjustment
  6. I see two scenarios for this. Aili seemed to be pretty convinced of Jeo's trustworthiness which means they were likely exchanging quite a bit of information between themselves. Jeo probably knew Aili was Returned and thought attacking her would prove her innocence and by association Jeo's since Aili had vouched for him. He just didn't count on the lifeless so the plan backfired a bit (though Aili is now vulnerable). The second scenario is much more convoluted so I'll keep that to myself and see how things pan out before voicing it. I wouldn't say we are back to square one. Now that we know Jeo was PK, we can look more closely at the votes from the last few days paying particular attention to who made votes that protected Jeo, who voted for Swimim, who voted against Jeo, and who Jeo himself voted for. Some of these votes are ones that were made but retracted later on. I included them because they are still telling. Day 2: Swimin: Rick, Tril, Gammer, Aili, Dainard, Rowan Chid (night 2): Elo, Grim Day 3: Chid: Elo, Wyrm, Asgren, Peng Dyrii: Rick, Tril, Grim, Aili, Rowan People who voted for Jeo: Cog, Ben, wil'son, Alan, Gammer, Rowan, Asgren Jeo voted for: Dainard, Ben, Quiver If we remove those last ten names who seem to not be on Jeo's side, that leaves Rick, Tril, Grim, Elo, Wyrm, Peng Rick and Tril voted for both Swim and Dyrii so they are at the top of my list followed by the other four in the order listed above. We've got a lot of time for this day cycle but I'm going to get us started off early by voting Rick at this point. Sorry if you just made some unfortunate vote choices but you seem most suspicious to me after last night's events.
  7. Aili admitted yesterday that she was the one who had sent out some messages to have the vote swayed towards dyrii (and presumably away from Jeo) so that.... complicates the issue with her being attacked last night and being a Returned.
  8. Gotta hate typecasting
  9. Think it's pretty likely the PK who made it, unless someone on the good side is doing some serious back room breath trades and hiding it well.
  10. If you look to the bottom right of each post there is an up arrow, down arrow, and a number. Everyone uses their own criteria but in general posts are up voted if they are clever, particularly helpful, humorous, or really well written. The only way to improve your reputation is to post often and have other people like your posts enough to upvote you. Having a high reputation doesn't really do anything for you, it's just kind of a fun way to display your overall contribution to the forum. Downvotes are pretty rare. I've only given those a couple times when the person was really aggressive or unnecessarily argumentative.
  11. Continuing my foray into line art coloring and shading, here is Gavilar's shardplate holding Firestorm (his shardblade). The original art from which the tracings were done: The Line tracings (for an SVG file, click HERE): Gavilar's plate was described as being painted blue with gold trimming. Adding gold trimming is beyond my talents at the moment (especially the wings that are supposed to be on the helmet), so I did a slight various on that color scheme. It's not true to the actual color but I wanted to play around with the flame design of the blade with some reds and yellows. It didn't match the plate anymore so I colored the plate to match. Yes, I know it turned out looking like iron man after that. Oh well. If you have any better suggestions on how to do the coloring, let me know.
  12. Well don't get too excited yet, it might be a short reprieve. I know it's night time but I for one would like a very good explanation from Jeo. He messaged a number of individuals yesterday saying "important people" told him they had good information indicating they should switch their vote to Dyrii. First off, I find it amazing that people switched their votes based on such a flimsy argument from one of the accused. Aodan clearly stated that he didn't have strong evidence against dyrii and that people should use their own judgement in the vote. I know for a fact that Aodan was not one of those "important people" Jeo spoke of in his messages. Seeing as how the so called information proved false and Dyrii was innocent, would you kindly tell us who these important people are and what evidence they were basing dyrii's culpability on? I find it highly likely either they are PK, you are, or both. If you were lying just to save yourself, I'll still probably vote for you tomorrow. Defending yourself when accused is one thing. Lying through back channels to get someone lynched instead of yourself is quite another and only helps the PK by spreading confusion and misinformation. Edit: didn't need to be blue
  13. (Spoilers ahead for WoR) The idea for Bondsmiths bonding with the stormfather comes mainly from the excerpt in WoR: That statement implies that there was something different about the spren they bond and it's been theorized based on the fact that Dalinar bonded the stormfather that they either all bond a single powerful spren together or they each bond one of the rare large spren an Roshar such as Cusiceth, Nightwatcher, and the stormfather. You are right, the stormfather probably should have arisen after the KR were founded so it is more likely they bonded the large rare spren in general rather than all bonding the stormfather specifically.
  14. Summon let most of the noise in the room wash over him, partly because he couldn't bare to hear the accused plead, but mainly because he was lost in his own thoughts. The decision had already been made hours before but following through was proving difficult. He hadn't really discussed things with Bartholemew but the man's actions earlier in the day had worked right into plans Summon had already been working on. They really needed to make sure Aodan was protected and Summon now had the ability to give him that protection. Knowing what to do and having the courage to act were two different things however. Very few people likely realized that the simple messenger they sat next to had been a powerful awakener. True, he'd lived many lives, some more prominent than others but he'd enjoyed the lack of any real responsibility this one had offered. That is, until the events of the last few days. Not once in all those lives had he contemplated giving up his breath. The thought of doing it now was terrifying. What's more, he was actually thinking about giving his breath to an Idrian. An Idrian! Aodan had walked out a short time earlier in a fit of frustration at the continuing circus and for a few minutes Summon toyed with the idea of putting it off until later that night. He quickly fought back that temptation though. He had other things to accomplish that evening and Aodan needed the protection as soon as possible. When Aodan returned to the Red Salmon a short time later, Summon caught hold of his attention and gave a slight nod. Summon could see both excitement and trepidation in the man's eyes. He was an Idrian and a monk after all. Accepting even one breath would be bad enough but the amount he was about to hold was blasphemy. Regardless, Summon knew Aodan was a good man and would do what was necessary to keep people safe. "You ready?" Summon called out to him, a slight tremor noticeable in his voice. "Only if it is what you truly wish." Aodan replied as he glanced around at the quiet that had spread across the room. "You know I would not ask this of you." "it needs to be done and holding onto them as long as I have was already dangerous enough. You need them more than I do." "Very well." Summon gloried in the life that flowed through him for one last moment then walked over and clasped hands with Aodan. "My life to yours, my Breath become yours." Summon watched as his precious breath flowed into the monk and he felt the change immediately. Just two days ago, he could have named each person in the room with his eyes closed. Now, he could barely tell one hushed whisper from another. Everything in the room was suddenly less vibrant and the various awakeners were as ordinary to his eyes as a drab. A part of him immediately regretted the decision and wanted to beg Aodan to give it all back. Summon could see the utter bliss written on the monk's face and completely understood. He'd known that same feeling only a few days ago but was doing his best not to begrudge him. Thankfully, Aodan quickly hid his joy once he noticed how distraught Summon was at the loss. "I will try to be worthy of it" "Just stay alive and find these colorblind cowards." Summon stepped in closer so his words wouldn't be overheard. "And I expect you will return what's mine once this is all over." For now, though, he needed some time alone to come to terms with his new station in life. He gazed around the room and wondered which faces wouldn't be there tomorrow. How had everything gone so wrong? There was nothing else he could do today so he walked out of the restaurant to face a colorless sunset and another long night.
  15. 777 = spinner. I didn't see that change from 774-777 so not sure where the actual change was
  16. I was trying to come up with satirical answer RP to the last few posts where my character strolls down the street thinking about how much he dislikes the retched beggar orphans that infest the city while he kicks a dog that was in his path and buys a skinned rabbit to make a hat. I got really depressed writing it though and thought it might not go over well (even if it was meant to be a joke) so decided against it.
  17. This is a little bit of self promotion but.... Top Ten!
  18. The problem with Aonar throwing out names is that people are likely to bandwagon behind him since he currently has the most information and and can't be PK. If he has really strong suspicions someone is bad that is a good thing. If he only has some hints and not any strong evidence yet, accusing someone might end up being counterproductive because people will be reluctant to contradict him and debate Edit: at this point I don't have any strong suspicions either but it does bother me that Jeo is still trying to find a way to accuse one faction more than the other. It's not an official vote at this point just who I'm leaning towards at the moment.
  19. Not sure why that would be any indication of how far along in their progression they are. The lightweaver abilities are inherently more subtle while the windrunners are combative so it would make sense they would be more "violent and intense" no matter how strong a radiant the two are.
  20. Thus far, brandon has RAFO'd anything about how shardplate is actually formed or when a radiant earns it so your guess is as good as any.
  21. No exactly sure how you expect there to be a "slip up". If he had the 5th heightening he's protected for at least one night unless he "accidentally" sent in night orders. Once that defense is used up, a mercenary protects him and pm's Aonar each night to confirm night orders to protect him have been sent in. Once that defense is gone, he then has a Returned that can save him. If the PK were dead set on taking him out, that would be at least three nights of kills wasted, all of which Aonar can be verifying people's trustworthiness and gathering information. Again, I totally agree it is more productive using breaths for strawmen if you can but it's also really dangerous just having two breaths laying around and it would be a good idea to have Aonar with his own breath protection from the 5th heightening.
  22. I can confirm that Wyrn the King was at 760
  23. Welcome to the forum! Just a small word of advice, be careful about spoiler material in your titles in the future. The Cosmere section doesn't have any spoiler restrictions but the front page of the forum lists the most recent topics. Putting "WoR ending theory Nightblood" is a pretty spoilery statement to have openly visible to everyone who is just browsing the forums front page. At this point, I think the nightblood cat was already well and truly out of the bag so no worries but just something to think about when you title new threads in the future.
  24. I'd agree with that and getting him to the 10th would be a major benefit as well because he'd have the protection of the 5th heightening and would still be able to carry out an action. With just one it's a crap shoot but you proved yourself that they can catch someone in a lie. If Aodan knows what people claim to be doing and has multiple strawmen to test those claims, they can be useful at rooting out people who are being deceptive.
  25. I would assume that the mercenary is protecting him by this point and a Returned would save him if that isn't the case.Edit: ninja'd
