This statement makes me think of Malazan Book of the Fallen where towards the end everyone turns out to be a Mortal Sword lol.

Upon more thought. With there being a theory that Renarin is a Skybreaker, and Dalinar kneeling beneath a "fractured sky"..... This makes me lean toward Renarin.

I don't want either brother to die. Or their dad. This blows. My hope is this is intentionally misleading and nobody dies.

"Dalinar knelt beneath a fracturing sky, holding his son." Holy crap. That is all I know to say. This Glimpse hit me like a punch to the chest. Edit: punctuation and removed profanity

Without trying to hijack the thread, I am wondering about this theory of Hoid having an Awakened Blade. Is there evidence to support this or is it something that just as y could be possible because he was there during the events of Warbreaker?

Yep, I figured as much. Many more good theories out there than I could come up with on my own lol. I'm definitely starting to see how revealing that they had a Blade in order to market it for sale might have been a bad idea. Furthermore I guess it makes sense that her brothers do not know about it or Nan Balat would probably have it instead of her.
-
All this time I had just assumed that her brothers knew she had it. It seems like not many other people made that assumption though.
-
Now why didn't I think of that. #facepalm. However she acquired her Blade must be HIGHLY incriminating. Can't wait to see if this is something that we get an answer to. At least we know if we are going to get an answer it will definitely be in WoR because I really cannot see us getting this info in any way but the flashbacks.

Well played. This theory of yours completely changes my mind about the Dawnsingers. I have always thought the Dawnsingers were the very original spren. The ones Adonalsium left behind when he visited Roshar before the Shattering. Now I am not sure what/who I think the Dawnsingers are.

Currently doing my prerelease reread and I noticed something that is incredibly obvious, that I don't understand at all. If house Davar is in such terrible shape financially, did it ever occur to anyone that the family is in possession of a Shardblade?? And "Kingdoms have been sold for a single blade", so I'm pretty sure it would cover their house's debt. Surely I am missing some obvious reason why this is not a valid solution to their problem. Anyone have any ideas?

There are trees at the shattered plains. Sadness I believe has the rights to them. There was talk in WoK about paying for Elhokar's soul casters being cheaper than buying lumber from Sadeas.

Hi everyone. My name is Chris (obviously) and I have a problem. I'm a severe cosmere addict. I've been lurking around here for a while and have been posting a little bit here lately. So due to me posting a little more frequently these past few weeks I thought I would make a formal introduction. Hope to be able to contribute something to you already super knowledgable folks!

Is there untapped power in Glyphs or Glyphwards?
christophalies replied to Riftwise's topic in Stormlight Archive
I have considered this before as well. The KR in Dalinar's flashbacks that hbe the glowing Shardplate was what made me think of it. The plate was glowing, which modern plate doesn't so, and it had glyphwards on it which I don't recall people having on them in the present day. Could just be a coincidence. Down this line of thinking... If glyphwards are prayers to the almighty.... And Tanavast is dead. Maybe glyphwards USED to have power but lost it when Honor died. Just a thought. -
Dawnshards and their relationship to the Listeners
christophalies replied to Alice Rose's topic in Stormlight Archive
The story of stealing a small black stone from The Nightwatcher is from one of Szeth's former masters. Some guy who was a transient worker going from mining town to mining town but I can't remember his name. And your opinion on the Nightwatcher and Stormfather are VERY interesting. I had not thought in those terms before and will give this more thought!- 24 replies

Dawnshards and their relationship to the Listeners
christophalies replied to Alice Rose's topic in Stormlight Archive
I have seen theories that the Dawnsingers are like the original spren. I believe there is WoB that there are Adonalsium spren on Roshar. I wonder if the Dawnsingers are spren belonging to Adonalsium instead of Honor, Cultivation or Odium?- 24 replies

Can the listeners still hear their dead?
christophalies replied to The Count's topic in Stormlight Archive
Reminds me of the Crimson Guard from the Novels of the Malazan Empire and their members that died. Very interesting theory. Still seems to me like if they could hear their dead they would not have lost all their forms or at least would have had no trouble re finding them. Or remember why they "forgot" their other forms on purpose. I guess my point is I this was true there would not be a lack of information about themselves and their past. -
I can see when adolin is let lose to collect blades and plate throug duels, him losing his blade and borrowing elhokar's like was talked about in WoK, and noticing it being different or more powerful than his blade... If this were to be true and all lol.

Jasnah mentions that the spren built cities. I would assume she meant in shadesmar, but just somethin to think about when considering who built urithiru and what that may have to do with where it is. Not sure I like the idea of it being in shadesmar.
