  1. I thought it would work because in "a cool bit of info" in the "General Brandon Discussion" it is said that Brandon says "all magic systems are compatible".
  2. Yes, but using them gives you years of experience that you otherwise wouldn't have.
  3. I would want to be a forger. There has got to be a way for a forger to forge themselves into a feruchemist, mistborn, surgebinder, etc. etc.
  4. I got a friend hooked on TWoK through the audiobooks. I now have him listening to Mistborn while he is waiting for WoR. He has really bad ADD and can't focus on the actual books. so I have been reading the WoR excerpts through vent.
  5. I can't make it, due to having to work 6am to 7pm, but I think he wants you to help him build that structure: like who the main character is (age, sex, discerning features); who the villain might be; is there magic in this world (if so, how does it function); and what should the plot be. These are the things I think he will be looking for.
  6. Mwahaha!! I got to haunt someone. That's what happens when you fall to mob mentality instead of looking at things calmly. Vote only when you have information gained by watching people's actions. Also, I too would like to play again. I need to figure out my RP. I really think people should stick to their RP, including when voting (or not voting).
  7. Maybe the betrayal was forgetting about the bonding?
  8. I always that the type of Spren (their appearance) had to do with the soulcasting properties myself. Actually, now that I PROPERLY put my thoughts in order instead of just putting down my first thoughts. I will honestly say that I am split on whether their appearance is based on essence or soul casting properties. After looking at some definitions I am leaning more towards essence, but some of that would look disgusting (sinew/meat-flesh). Also I couldn't get a definition for lucentia.
  9. I know this is a little rude, but I would like to see all of our predictions proven wrong. I just think it would be awesome to have an author take something we have seen a lot of times and turn it on its head (so to speak). I have this bad habit where, if the scene I am reading is similar to all of the other books I have read, I get the urge to want to skip to the stuff I haven't experienced before. I am a little impatient that way.
  10. To be perfectly frank, what has happened these last two months is upon my head. The death, destruction, loss, and pain are my burden. I should have seen it coming. And I should have stopped it. —From the personal journal of Navani Kholin, Jeseses 1174 Gaaah!!! What happened?
  11. I hope people don't mind me using my introduction for testing out on whether I have truly learned how to change my texts yay!! It worked!! Now I can really play "mistborn elimination"
  12. There are two reasons for why I don't want to cast my vote. First off, I don't know how to change text colors. A friend is going to be helping me learn this stuff (all for this game) Monday afternoon. Second reason, I want to "listen" to everyone else and try to understand their reasoning behind their choice. Because this is a game, I realize people will think this is just an excuse to get you to change your vote. Don't use this specific reply to change your mind. If I die, I die. I will then watch, learn, and play better next time.
  13. Grayv walked passed the doctor's body with barely a glance, having seen more dead bodies than he would like to remember. He had steeled his heart long ago so as not to be affected by such gruesome things. "We have already started to be suspicious of each other," he thought, "but we don't have enough information to figure out who did it yet. I will not cast a vote this day."
  14. Grayv stares at Maill's back and quietly grumbles "Koloss are at our doors and you're worried about your reputation? There's something wrong with your mind lad."
  15. Grayv takes a sip from his flask, not happy with the conclusion his mind came up with for the recent events. Realizing his flask is near empty, he heads to the inn, feelings of suspicion rising up within him. Entering the inn, Grayv walks up to the bar and asks Dyring to fill up the flask with bourbon. After getting his flask back, He turns around to make sure as much of the room is in his view as possible. Taking a sip, he proceeds to listen to the talk in the room.
  16. I'll give this a shot, I'll be the drunk veteran who lost his left hand and has a twitch in his right eye.
  17. When you can't wait for all the names of the 10 orders and all of their ideas so you can figure out which ones follow your own ideas and have that order's symbol and surge symbols tattooed on your body somewhere
  18. I remember that there was a question about the Spren leaving the dead chasmfiends and Brandon replied that the Spren is one of the reasons why chasmfiends can grow so big. My question is, is there a limit to how big they grow and if not, do they continue to pupate as they grow bigger (kind of like a snake shedding its skin)?
  19. I have three separate thoughts on this: either Dalinar betrays Kaladin to protect Amaram, one of the bridgemen betrays Kaladin, or this is how szeth became truthless.
  20. Hi, I have been lurking around for quite a while. I didn't sign up right away because I'm not one to write down my thoughts (I'm a bit of an introvert). But now I have so many I need to get it out or risk going crazy (crazier).
