I've seen the theory that the Soulcaster was cut with the Shardblade. It sounds plausible, but I've always thought Shallan claimed the Blade as it materialised, following her fathers death. Are there any acknowledgements that killing him was her greatest sin though? Patricide isn't cool, but then, he doesn't sound like a very nice man.

I can't help but notice a certain lack ness in your arms. Don't get me wrong, spears and Featherblades are good and all... but perhaps you might have need of a bowman?

I find it interesting that the Parshendi are so against their gods returning. Sure, evil gods exist, but the quote makes it sound as if there are no good analogues, unlike the Wetlakers two gods.

I'm a fan of Arrow, so I used a name and pic derived from that.
I'm also hoping that some day I'll ninja someone, leading them to speculate aloud "Who was that masked man?"

The Shard of Euphoria. It's invested on the same world as the Shard of Sorrow.
Which makes the inhabitants of the Shardworld bipolar. Our bad.

For the attention of Brandon (White)Sanderson:
Salutations on this, the day you were (Mist)born. I hope that it is a good day, involving much (War)breaking of cake time spent with your (Words of) radiant wife. After this year, you deserve to get your way(Of Kings) and spend some time at a family gathering(storm). If you plan on partying, I hop you do so well beyond (Towers of) midnight, with a Legion of you're closest family and friends. Having fun is good for the (Emperor's)soul, so I encourage it until late in the morning, when you begin to see the dawn and (Memory of) sunlight.
Also, Elantis and Rithmatist. Because the only way I could include them in this is by suggesting they are difficult titles to smoothly integrate into conversation, for which you should spend some time in Alcatraz.

Why did I name myself Quiver, the place where you keep arrows, while sporting a picture of Oliver Queen?
It's a word with a Q, U and V in it. That has to be worth something in scrabble.

Ya know what? I'm gonna buck the trends here: my favourite Sandernovel is Warbreaker.
It doesn't make much sense, since some big aspects of it are left open-ended, without a Mistborn-sequel promised conclusion, but even so I enjoyed it a lot. It felt like a Sword and Sorcery Sanderson story, and I liked it's standalone aspects. In the annotations, Brandon mentions how the books tone jumps around a lot, which I found particularly interesting. I really need to re-read that book one of these days...

One thing I liked very very very much - the Necromancer's appearance. One of the things the Tolkien fandom likes to poke fun of is how Sauron, the great demi-god villain hellbent on conquering the Middle Earth, takes the shape of a burning eye. Not very intimidating, and kind of weird. I mean, an eye? A ball of fire, identical to the eye but without the "iris" would've looked much better. The Desolation of Smaug addresses this quite nicely I thought. The idea that the eyeball is really just a ball of fire/energy/power, and what looks like an iris is actually the vague and distant outline of Sauron as we see him in the opening scene of The Fellowship of the Ring.
I thought this was an extremely nice touch.
That was my single favourite moment of the movie, maybe the best moment of the series, period. Trippy, mind bending, and sort of terrifying. I'm waiting for a friend of mine to see the movie, just so I can see his reaction to that moment.

Does it have to be an artificial intelligence?
I'll grant this isn't a well-thought idea and mere metaphorical hand waving, but perhaps this could be a use for some of the seemingly less useful Feruchecm or Hemalurgy metals? A computer built of Aluminum invested with a sense of self maybe? Chromium to plot out FTL jump points, with some Nicrosil to 'invest' it with some kind of life?
Of course, I'm new to this whole Realmantic thing, so this might make no sense.

Maybe it isn't his best written accomplishment(for a given value of all the words in that sentence) but creating a fictional physics, with laws diverse enough to allow dozens of different magic systems, but which remains entirely self-consistent? That's impressive.

Stoneface is the one who got me into Discworld. Finishing 'Guards! Guards' felt like having my mind blown. The Vimes since then haven't struck as hard, but then, you can only have one first time. I wasn't sold on Snuff, since I was sort of hoping for more of an Agatha Christie-risqué parody, but it was still better than Unseen Academicals.
The Witches were a pretty fun series, though I'm glad they haven't been published in a while. Lords and Ladies was a pretty perfect climax for them.

Question about the Adonalsium and the number Sixteen. Sixteen is a pretty important number in the Cosmere, being the number of Shards, allomantic metals, etc.
Was Sixteen significant pre-shattering? Is that why sixteen shards were created, or is the number important because sixteen were made?

I saw Desolation at the weekend, and I thought it was an improvement over the first one. Sure, the things often didn't match my headcanon, or the actual book canon, but I still found it enjoyable. The film was quicker paced, but I think that's because, unlike Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, this felt like a direct continuation of the first one. I suspect these films are built more as a single nine+ hour film than three, three length ones..

Any Discworld fans in the Cosmere? I've finished all the books except for 'Rising Steam'. There are certain characters and series I like more than others (and the books I don't like are usually Rincewind-related) but on the whole it's one of my favourite book series.

After making use of the Coppermind and the 17th Shard for a few months, I thought it was about time I introduced myself. I started reading Brandon's Cosmere books this year with Mistborn, so having a place to discuss, theorise and point out all the little details I missed has been great. Looking forward to crackpot theories with you guys.
