  1. I do not feel inclined to read Galdalf. So let us go with: Read: Dumbledore Supply: Gandalf Elect: Ged The three Five Scholars we know the least about: Arsteel, Yesteel, Shashara
  2. Well the obvious answer would be: Renarin: Read Thorin: Supply Adolin: Elect But who wants obvious. I think Thorin would be boring to read, so lets go: Adolin: Read Renarin: Supply - channelling WoK' Thorin: Elect My first thought would be the Sanderson Elimination mods: Little Wilson, Gamma Fiend, Metacognition But lets go with: Wayne (Alloy of Law), Vivenna (Warbreaker), Silence (Shadows for Silence)
  3. Bah. I had figured from your Wyrm vote was a Dula test, but I didn't work out the list. I was guessing that it could be maybe a list of who's most likely to have a Seon. I didn't want to comment on either though.
  4. To be clear, Kipper, you'd need to public vote someone to truly demonstrate that. You may put your vote on me if you wish. Your welcome . GM Question: Can I designate an heir for 'Official Quick Link Poster'?
  5. It's great for making one sound smart thought. Slightly off topic, I had a couple other ideas for Elimination games, and this time, when I checked, you didn't already have a game that did the same thing. So now I've just got to hope you don't ninja me in posting them.
  6. Bother. I'm going to need to compile a list of people's lists that I've made it on. :/ Yay, formal logic, but not true. iff (if and only if) means that the statements are completely reversible. But we could not say that Bort = Gyron iff Lukat = Odiv, because another player as Gyorn could have made Lukat Odiv, and only one of them did converts. The way I worded it was a bit weird though - If Bort = Gyron, then Lukat = Odiv (but words) would have been better. Ha. My turn for once.
  7. You're welcome, Bort. I had wondered about that. I guess that would explain it. Kipper voted on him a few cycles back, and it came back as not counting. Could mean a few things. Kipper's a Keeper, so could have voted secretly - he denies doing so however. Kipper and Kas could be lovers, or Kas could be Dula. Pretty sure there is no other reason why someone's vote wouldn't count towards the vote count. I've been indecisive of whether or not to actually keep a vote on Kas to verify, but Kas put a vote on himself. Hero has said to me, and apparently Kas, that you can vote for yourself, and Kas' vote came back as 0. I mean, Kas could be a Keeper of the Secret Tunnels I guess. If you really wanted to be sure, someone else would need to put a vote on him. I wasn't sure if it was something I should do or not. From what we have though, it seems likely? That was me, actually, who suggested that. I was under the impression (I didn't go back and check this though), that when you got poisoned, Lukat got converted the same night. Wilson (and Kas, seeing as entering/leaving Elantris is the last thing to resolve at night) was then converted while you were in Elantris. If you were Gyorn, you wouldn't be able to target players outside of Elantris, and seeing as Wilson was converted, you would need an Odiv to continue your job. The only non-Elantrian convert was Lukat, so if you had been Gyorn, the only way conversions could still happen outside of Elantris was if Lukat had been Odiv. You not being Gyorn doesn't clear Lukat from being Odiv, but if we discovered you were in fact the Gyorn, we could know with certainty (provided I got the facts right) that Lukat was the Odiv. It wasn't a big detail, but I thought it was worth noting just in case you were Gyorn.
  8. The wiki does versioning anyway - you can compare previous edits, and I would imagine you can, or at least admins could, revert to previous versions anyway. I think, anyway.
  9. I would agree I would like to hear from Bort. Or Meta (or some spokesperson), regarding Bort. Like Seonid said, you were already slightly suspicious (to Kas anyway, enough that he targetted you with poison), but then you helped get Phattemer dangerously close to becoming Hoed. (Edit: Greened the vote)
  10. Game Quicklinks Signups Day 1 - Fel/Mek Lynched. Night 1 - Orlok Killed, Zas converted. Day 2 - Spencer Lynched. Night 2 - Cultist and Gyorn targets protected by pendants. Phattemer allegedly Cultist target. Day 3 - Mailliw73 Lynched. Night 3 - Bort was poisoned, someone else saved from Cultists. Day 4 - Winter discovered to be a Cultist and Lynched. Wyrmhero and Emerald join the game. Night 4 - Phattemer killed, Meta probably poisoned. Day 5 - Honey Badger, a Citizen Pirate, was lynched. His hostage, Zas (a Cultist), died with him. Night 5 - Jindo Warrior prevents the Cultist killing, Alvron taken by Shaod, Bort returns from Elantris. Day 6 - Present Day I'm touched that you all decided to wait for me to get home so I could post my links before saying anything. Well done Jindo Priest(s). Welcome back Bort, I guess... Was it Alvron who said he wished he could go to Elantris? EDIT: Link. It was indeed Alvron who admitted he wanted to go to Elantris. Probably coincidence though.
  11. He's referring to the start of Night 1 of this game, where he put some thought into what the Gyorn could be planning. He's asking in advance this time because last time a number of people came down hard on him for giving the Gyorn suggestions.
  12. Wilson was converted after Bort was poisoned, correct? This would then suggest that either Luckat is Odiv, or Bort is not Gyorn. I guess that either is possible, but I suspect that the latter is more likely. I guess we'll find out soon enough if Bort gets scanned by Meta.
  13. Well I guess we don't have to worry about scanning Zas any longer. So thank you Honey for saving us a lynch. EDIT: My vote tally: Vote Tally Clanky{2}: Araris, Emerald Alvron{2}: Wyrm, dowanx Araris{1}: Haelbarde Honey Badger{3}: Clanky, Kipper, Alvron Kasimir{?}: Kasimir Ostrich{1}: a smart guy Luckat{1}: Honey Badger Bort{1}: Seonid As far as I can see, no vote shennanigans.
  14. Would agree with you here. And while we wait in eager anticipation, a final vote count as far as I can see: Vote Tally Luckat{1}: Honey Badger Kasimir{?}: Kasimir Ostrich{1}: a smart guy Clanky{2}: Araris, Emerald Alvron{2}: Wyrm, dowanx Honey Badger{3}: Clanky, Kipper, Alvron Araris{1}: Haelbarde Bort{1}: Seonid
  15. He seems to be (stemmed from me putting a vote on him at one point). And I'm not too worried about a future reading, but if you have the time... This is my problem. The person I'd be most willing to vote for is Bort, but also might as well let Meta do his thing. I'll put a vote on Araris to help out if you decide to go with that (and hopes this doesn't come back to bite me). Vote Tally Luckat{1}: Honey Badger Kasimir{1}: Kasimir Ostrich{1}: a smart guy Clanky{2}: Araris, Emerald Alvron{1}: Wyrm Honey Badger{1}: Clanky Araris{1}: Haelbarde
  16. Nope. It's not a originally a comic (though there might be a graphic novel) and as far as I know it hasn't been made into a TV series or anything. The thief, the prince, and their companions sneak past a something left by someone walking in circles to find a fake house while looking for a plant
  17. I possibly should have noted that.[ hr] Vote Tally Luckat{3}: Wilson*, Honey Badger Kasimir{1}: Kasimir Ostrich{1}: a smart guy Clanky{1}: Araris Alvron{1}: Wyrm If I vote I'm going to have to do it within the next hour, as I'll be out till about 9:30 MDT.
  18. The thief accompanies the prince on a long journey to find a plant.
  19. That's entirely fair enough. I disagree that it's implausible (well, focused on Meta), but I'd agree that it's improbable. And I'm sorry that it's distracted discussion off of peoples personal suspicions. My views on peoples at the moment: People I Trust Cleared Meta - Willing to trust him for the time being (obviously not entirely, but I do believe the chances of him being evil are quite low. Will reevaluate a few cycles later) Renegade, Neo, Twei, Wilson, Kas - confirmed by phattemer/meta. Yes I'm aware people can become Odiv but for the moment, Cultists are the bigger concern. Also, Gyorn/Odiv can't kill us, and don't necessarily need us dead. Other Wonko/Sart - Trusted Wonko, don't have a read on Sart, being his first day Dowanx - First part of the game, had some strategy discussion, but was then sick from the 28th, but has started posting again - I think I'd agree with what he had to say in analysis. I would want a bit more time to consolidate my opinion though. Seonid - Has had an extended dialogue with Meta. I'm presuming that Meta doesn't outright distrust them. Going to operate under the assumption that they're probably fairly trustworthy until Meta (or anyone else - don't think people have complaints with Seonid?) People I Don't Trust Bort - I would agree with what Dowanx had to say in his analysis post. I'd be equally happy to lynch as to let Meta do his thing. Zas - I think people feel he's probably a Cultist? But can't do all that much necessarily sitting as Hoed. We should take him out eventually though. Alvron - Has been moderately active, but hasn't had much to say beyond Gyorn/Pirate considerations. Ostrich - inactive, though I suspect he should now be about to be replaced - 17th shard says he hasn't been online in over 2 days, and he hasn't posted full stop for two and a half weeks. People I'm Not Sure About Mckeedee - While hasn't been super active, when he's posted he's usually contributed something useful. I would put him borderline trustworthy - don't have enough on him to say, I think. Kipper - Suspects me, but that's okay. I would suspect me too. Has been quite active and tried to be useful, having had some useful things to say. Don't necessarily trust him though. Wyrm - Just replace Aonar. Aonar didn't do much, so it'd hard to say. Wyrm so far has been useful enough, but I think we need more time to tell. Honey Badger - Just as new as me. Hasn't said much, but seems to be another one of the people that's had school to worry about for the present. Gut feeling says he's citizen (roleless/pirate). Clanky - Fairly quiet. Will reserve judgement for a bit longer. Would tend towards not trusting him. He also (I don't think), ever gave me a future reading :/ Lightsworn Panda - Hasn't done a lot since the start - most of his posts have been spent defending himself after voting for Wonko once. Emerald - Problem is that Piff didn't do anything, and Emerald has only really posted once. He did call out a few people when he did though - Bort, Alvron, Clanky, and Surgebound Surgebound - has had school stuff. Or had an animation project on the 1 June. He did then pop back in on the 4th. Has been online today, but we've not heard anything. Luckat - Posts once every 2-3 days. Hasn't contributed very much, other than notifying us about the activities of the Gyorn. Inactive List: (By which I mean people who've are barely (or not even) posting, as I see it, anyway) Luckat Surgebound Emerald Ostrich
  20. Like I said, I not convince myself. I just felt he had opportunity to do that, but wasn't sure if it was likely. A few of you have now said that's not the sort of thing he'd do, and so I'm fine with that. I just wanted to put it out there. I prefer to talk more, like the last few posts (see QF7), but I've found it harder to get in to this game. (Also, I did get killed round 2 in MR6 Didn't want to talk too much at the start in case we got a repeat). I'll clarify my previous comments about uni though - my course work was done as of Thursday, and I have 2 exams in 3-4 weeks. So I should have time enough for the rest of this game. Last week was a bit busy with getting stuff handed in. I'll try and get comments of the rest of the players up before I go to bed this evening (I'm living in Australia, if that's relevant).
  21. Oh, I'm definitely not trying to assert that what I've suggested is really happening. And I was full aware that it wasn't even necessarily likely. I felt I needed to post something, and this is what I've had churning over in my head. I felt it better to put it out there this game, rather than sit on it till it was too late. I must also say, what I posted was a bit of a mess, with little proof reading. I will clarify that when I've suggested you could be an eliminator, that's been more of an afterthought, an even more idle fancy on something which is unlikely. So regarding Meta were to choose an eliminator, as I've thought about it, I afterwards changed my mind to Twei, and then to neither. Really having both of you actually legit makes more sense, ultimately. And fits better with how you've acted. So feel free to disregard any references to yourself - the focus was meant to be on Meta. Re: follow the cop. Sure, you can caution about it. But are we going to ignore a priest? I wouldn't have thought so. And provided you don't slip up, maybe you could make use of the position as an eliminator. If people trust you, you're more likely to get information. And no, I don't think it's a good idea for Meta to reveal peoples roles publicly, but were he to PM someone who he'd previously scanned, he could verify the specifics of a role and they could verify Meta, potentially. With what do they gain? Well, nothing straight away. But I would have thought an eliminator seemingly having what is basically a verified safe role would provide a layer of protection, and at the end game, when it matters, affect the game. I've tried to avoid discussing the Odiv/Gyorn as I don't want to give them suggestions. But yes, converts who have been previously verified can't be entirely trusted. Only post Odiv scans can be. Not that I thought I really discussed them in my post, but anyway. Re: Winter. The votes that cycle went something like - I voted you, Meta voted Winter, someone else might have voted Winter, but then you, Wilson, Seonid and someone else all vote Meta. Meta claimed to be a priest. Maybe it's just because I'm new, and not used to these things, but I guess I felt role claiming the most useful villager role under duress felt off. I personally was going to shift my vote to Meta when Winter threw in the towel. Maybe it should have been obvious it was over, but this is the second game I've played that I've been alive in for longer than about 24-36 hours, while you and winter have play three times the number of games I have. I didn't see it as a lost cause, and so I assumed that others might have agreed with that sentiment. I feel like I could have put together a case better, but it was not intended as undeniable proof of something. It was meant as my answer to the voice in my head which asks 'What if Meta was bad?' by seeing if there was a scenario in which the events could benefit the eliminators. And I felt there was a case for it, though a dangerous one in that it killed one of their number, and put one of them in an important, but precarious position. And I ask the question - say it was the case. Do people trust Meta? I would say, for the most part. And in comparison to my thoughts in QF7, where I really did not trust Joe, but felt my hands were tied, I would still probably go with Meta is most probably our second priest. If anyone cares - you could also add that it's convenient that Phattemer got taken out before Meta arrived - means he wasn't able to scan Meta. Of course, that's also just the way things played out - they probably saved their poison to do something precisely like that - roleblock a priest. I do also find it interesting that we still have basically all the top tier players in the game. I guess I expected we'd have lost a few by now. EDIT: Vote Tally Kas Notation Clanky{1}: Kasimir<1>, Araris<2> Wonko{0}: Wyrm<1> Wyrm{0}: Wilson<1> Jain{0}: Kasimir<2> Haelbarde{2}: Wyrm<2>, Kipper Luckat{2*}: Wilson*<2> Honey Badger{0}: Araris<1> Ostrich{1}: a smart guy Kasimir{2}: Haelbarde, Kasimir<3> Standard Notation Haelbarde{2}: Wyrm, Kipper Kasimir{2}: Haelbarde, Kasimir Luckat{2*}: Wilson* Ostrich{1}: a smart guy Clanky{1}: Araris And I'm thinking I'll then take my vote of Kasimir, again. I cannot decide whether or I should keep it there or not :/ So we'll go with the current tally is: Standard Notation Haelbarde{2}: Wyrm, Kipper Luckat{2}: Wilson* Kasimir{1}: Kasimir Ostrich{1}: a smart guy Clanky{1}: Araris A tie between myself and Luckat.
