  1. The perpetrator was one of the following: And there would be a number of people I could strike from said list as being unlikely to be the assailants. As for their whereabouts, take your pick of 'On the Internet' or 'In the Final Empire'. Can I haz reward?
  2. Oh great and mighty Wyrm, you've invented time travel! Everyone, prepare for paradoxes as we return to Generation 1 at the conclusion of this turn!
  3. There was great confusion at the birth of Lord Heatherlocke's second child. Edrab had been away on business when his wife had gone into labor. A mistborn was sent to summon him back. Receiving the message, he used all the metal available to him to send himself flying through the sky in a hurry to return home. He was unfortunately late, and in the time between the birth of his beautiful little daughter and his arrival, his wife hadn't been able to name the child, yet a messenger had been sent to the Final Paper to have the news proclaimed to the whole empire. Finally arriving, and taking the child in his arms, he knew exactly what he would call the child. "Her name shall be Claudia." Sorry for not giving you the names, Wyrm :/ So, it seems I now have a daughter. If any of you were looking for a suitable match-up for any of your sons, feel free to get in touch.
  4. Usually, you highlight the text you want to change the color of, and then click on the color picker (the thing next to the size menu), and choosing your color there. Alternatively, you can use bbcode: [color=#ffd700]Text[/color] Should give you Text
  5. The main way it's useful is for a less active player to save a more active player on the same team - though it has the danger of leading lots of people dying.
  6. Question, does this already count as a death, seeing as I had to die to Return? Edit: Oooh, and I just lvl'd up!
  7. Oooh, new game! Droll the Spontaneous is joining. His colours will be maroon (well, that colour I've been in the google docs) and green.
  8. The nice thing about Warkbreaker is that Brandon released it for free online on his site. So if you wanted to give it a shot, it's easy to do it legally from your browser.
  9. It was meant to be 'God-King' but he's from Warbreaker.
  10. Have you written any books? Is that what you would like to do? You tried coauthoring something with a friend?
  11. Agreed, and this is precisely the sort of thing I hope I never have to deal with (I work in a similar job).
  12. Like Kickstarter, or Indiegogo, (though they're just the ones I've used before). I suspect there'd be enough here with good will and some spare cash to get you a pug. I know I'd probably pitch in.
  13. House Heatherlocke had a mine since the early days of the Final Empire. It had brought a meager income, with the larger Houses having already established themselves in the mining industry. They still managed to sell what they dug up to other smaller houses of low import. So far, they hadn't refined any of it, but they finally decided that they could perhaps yield a modest increase in income by building a blacksmith to refine some of its output. Plans were drafted and approved, with construction beginning on Heatherlocke's first House Blacksmith.
  14. Curious, does stuff tend to come at a particular time, or is it usually fairly regular throughout the day/various at what point of the day it comes in. Has the more recent stuff just been stuff that's managed to find a dead zone in when staff is online, or is it actually just more frequent?
  15. I must say, I feel I used to be much more patient with books. Like I enjoyed the stories, but the actual prose it self wasn't necessarily that interesting, if that makes sense in the slightest.

Question: Do I count as someone?

    Ask Joe Things

So, you prod the internet for questions, and so the internet asked you a question. But then the internet didn't get an answer, like it so dearly wanted. My question is this. Why didn't you answer my question? D:
  18. Hey, fellow Aussies! o/ This is something similar. A lot of those felt contrived. But anyway. I've heard of a bunch of them. Don't use a lot of the though.
  19. I forgot you're a fellow Australian. Would tend to agree with you on that left tendency based on driving. And I was more referring to the maths/computing problem solving as you lie in bed thing.
  20. "Rain goats keep falling on my head" "Goat just lost the game"
  21. But you beat me to the JFK one. I was intending on coming back to add that one. (Edit: Though I was going to go with 'Ask not what your goat can do for you, ask what you can do for your goat.' ) "I am Heavy Weapons Guy... and this is my goat. She weighs one hundred fifty kilograms and fires two hundred dollar, custom-tool cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire the goat... for twelve seconds." "Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe, [sniff] maybe. I've yet to meet one that can outsmart a goat." And credit for Burnt Spaghetti for coming up with this one: "Well done. Here are the test results: You are a horrible goat. I'm serious, that's what it says: "A horrible goat." We weren't even testing for that. Don't let that horrible-goat thing discourage you. It's just a data point. If it makes you feel any better, science has now validated your birth mother's decision to abandon you on a doorstep."
  22. Lord Edrab's father had worked hard throughout his life, to carve out a place in this new, and final, empire. Now it was his turn to continue to lead House Heatherlocke to greatness. He had worked hard so far, and had made progress, but now he needed to look to the future. There needed to be a future generation to pick up the flag.
