  1. Cycle 2 - Note a Worry “Hey guys! So I have this Dark Brotherhood pamphlet, and it’s really cool!” Innocent exclaimed. “Has everyone looked at their copy yet? Talks all about ‘Sithis’ and the ‘Night Mother’. I wonder who they are?” Looking around, everyone was staring at him with an odd expression. “Oh… Did you guys not get one? Here, I’ll pin it up so everyone can see!” He grabbed a nearby letter opener and pinned it to the wall through the hand symbol on the document. Everyone exchanged glances. "Umm guys? I think we found our assassin..." A voice rang out. Though there were some murmurs of disagreement, there were enough nodded, and soon enough he was dead. It was only upon later examination that they realized the copy of 'The Five Tenets' was a fake - they'd killed the wrong man. Zelda had been touring the house looking at all the pretty art on the walls when she came across one that had be torn to shreds. Surprised to see such an appalling act of vandalism, she dropped her mug of water. Bending down to retrieve the mug she was surprised to see she wasn't wearing shoes any more. "When did that happen?" "Dunno, but doesnt' matter to you any more." A voice from behind spoke, as a hand covered her mouth. A sharp pain, then darkness. Ecthelion was lynched. He was a Guest. He had 666 gold, a copy of 'The Five Tenets', 7 keys, a Silver Mace, and Glass Boots. Lopen was killed. He was a Guest. He had 1400 gold, a Jeweled Amulet, a Grand Soul Gem, and a Grey Cowl. Vote Tally Ecthelion(4): Elenion, Kasimir, Kynedath, AlvronArinian(3): Cloud, JUQ, EcthelionCloudjumper(2): Doc, LopenAlvron(2): Sart, OrlokStick(1): ArinianKynedath(1): Rae
  2. I figure it's probably worth clarifying here, seeing as a number of people asked - I'm sure most of you have noticed that I included an inventory of items in your PMs. I added them as a flavour/RP thing for people to have fun with. They were all decided before alignments were worked out, and have no bearing on the players alignment. They also have no gameplay affect. So no, if you have a weapon, you can't kill people with it. You can still try and use stuff and maybe some fun stuff will happen. ;P
  3. Slam. Thunk. Rattle, rattle. Click. The way was shut. Everyone had finally turned up, and Fafnir had let all of them in, locking the door behind them. The Manor was lovely. It was well lit, and had nice paintings around. Lots of beds up stairs too. Everyone had spread out, doing a once over, trying to find the promised treasure. But after an hour or two, turned out the puzzles had been well hidden. No one had found any clues. Given it was already late by the time they were let in, everyone was exhausted. Making use of the well stocked kitchen, everyone had something to eat, chatted for a bit, and then everyone went to tired. This mystery could be solved tomorrow, they decided. Most people woke to a scream. Rushing out into the landing of the first floor, they found a body. Stuck to the chest of the corpse with a knife, was a piece of paper with a red hand print on it. Cycle ends in just under 24 hours. Player List Role PMs have all been sent out. Send me a PM if I've missed you.
  4. Signups are closed. First cycle and role PMs coming asap (should be within next 15 min).
  5. It was time to make his peace with the world, before he departed. Maybe I'll Return? Stranger things had happened. Maybe in death he would find the knowledge he had been seeking. At least he would no longer have to put up with people reading the wrong things into everything he said, as Khaos had. He hoped, anyway. Reviewing the things he had done, he had no regrets. While different decisions might have resulted in his survival of this unfortunate situation, he was satisfied that his decisions had been the right thing to do, ideals worth dying for. As he became more and more excited by the prospects of exploring the Beyond, he knew he wanted to depart peacefully, and with dignity. He wrote a short letter to those who would wonder what would become of him. Signing it with a simple Alberd, he felt at peace.
  6. Something bugged Albert Hae. Amongst all the accusations and warnings to her 'friends', Khaos made the claim that someone was forcibly changing peoples minds on who they were suspicious of. But the professor had not noticed any evidence for this. Fortunately, someone had been taking meticulous notes on the goings on of the last week, so he was able to trawl through the data to verify this claim. Working backwards, he became more and more confused. He could find no evidence of any changes. Finally, he reached the notes of their first day after getting stuck in here, and he found it! Aralis had made been suspicious of Quintus, yet no mention of it had been made in the summary for that day. This must have been it! But the professor didn't want to take it at face value. He knew all to well the dangers of getting too excited about a discovery, only to find out an error had been made. So he did his due diligence to verify if the record was indeed accurate. It was just as well too, as it turned out to be a clerical oversight. This left him a bit put out with Khaos, more than before. "Was that your evidence? Maybe it would pay to check your work..." I hadn't actually noticed any vote manipulation during the game, so Wilson's claim that it had happened was news to me! I went through and checked all the vote tallies, and the only discrepancy I could find was that Araris' vote on Jondesu was omitted from the write-up's vote tally, from the Day 1 lynch. I asked Wyrm to confirm if it's omission was intentional or not, and he told me that it was a mistake and the vote should have appeared in that write-up. @Wyrmhero I don't suppose you could drop in confirm the detail about Araris' vote on Jondesu?
  7. Albert was in a bit of pickle. There’s gotta be someway out of here… He thought to himself. There’s too much confusion, and I can can’t seem to get any relief. Attacks on all side left his prognosis grim. Why wouldn’t they just listen!? He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, picking a tune to let run through his head to calm him. What could he do? Then it came to him. He was a professor, well use to writing papers, or speeches. He would prepare a speech, and deliver his case. I’ll write my way out. I’ll write everything down as far as I can see it. He picked up a pen, and begun to write. Hours later, he emerged with a stack of papers. “Hear ye, hear ye. I’ve something I’d like to say to you all.” First off, responding to a few points from Wilson’s last post. You bring up the fact that it took me 6 hours to respond. End of cycle is 7:30 am for me. Wilson’s post appeared at 8:45am. I think I saw the post maybe 45 minutes later? Thing is, being in Australia, it was Sunday morning for me, and from around 9:30 I was running around getting ready for our weekly religious gathering. This meant that by the time I was home with time free to think about the game, it was more like 2pm. Also, I don’t think I was clear. I found an Ancient Medical Fabrial Night 4, which is what I used last night. While I knew Allomancy was in the game, having found my lerasium-brass alloy N0, I wasn’t sure if feruchemy was in the game. I suspected it might, as Feruchemical steel seems like the most likely thing for a thief, given they’ve been able to steal at least 3 things. The bracer I was referring to was the one that Jondesu dropped in the writeup. When I read your post accusing me of killing Jondesu, my initial thought was that you were attempting a Herowannabe-esque poke vote to see how I’d react to throwing suspicion on me. I guess I did suggest it was a framing attempt but I wasn’t seriously considering that possibility at the time. It seems like I should be more careful about conveying my thoughts… That’s twice now you’ve taken something away from my posts that wasn’t the intended point. :/ One last thing before I launch into my thoughts on what you’re doing. Given you’ve gone and brought up LG14, does that mean we’ll end up parodying? Anyway, here’s my case. First off, do we have any proof that Wilson found Lerasium, and is now mistborn? The only reason I was accepting that was I had been reading her as village up to this point. Given I’ve now revised that opinion, I’m no longer willing to accept that at face value. So the question is, could Wilson’s actions be those of an eliminator? I’d say that she’s done maybe 4 things of note: Form a trust group with Seonid, El, Aonar, plus maybe Doc? Caused the lynch of 2 villagers (Elenion and Daniyah) Claimed to be mistborn Claimed to have scanned me as killing Jondesu She was able to start PM conversations with people she’s worked with before during N0, when no one was an eliminator, or during N1 when there were only two. People are overly trusting in one-on-one conversations in PMs, particularly if the other person if the other person trusts you by sharing their own information. And particularly the first night, you could be confident that anyone you talked with in PM wasn’t an eliminator, and even then, on the second night, we also had the security of knowing there were only 2 eliminators in the game. Usually we have to guess how many, with the assumption that there’s usually around 20% of the players who are evil. You’re much more likely to be trusting of someone who you’ve been talking to in a PM, particularly if they’re fun to talk to (which Wilson usually is). The problem is this game is conversion based, meaning you have to reevaluate who you trust whenever a conversion happens. Having a group of people who trust you isn’t eliminatory, but it’s a valuable asset for an eliminator to have. More on that later. As far as the people has been publicly working with (Aonar, El, Seonid, and Doc?), I’d probably assume that only one of them might be an eliminator. It’s seems unlikely that all of the people Wilson was talking with just happened to get turned, and if Wilson was an early convert (which I think’s likely), it’s more valuable to surround yourself with villagers who trust you. Having something of a trust group, she then claimed to have lerasium (which seems to be the most powerful find thus far, mind you), employing Aonar and El as proxies to try and collect vials of metal for her to use. I mean, it makes sense right? You have all these players with vials of metal, and no lerasium, and you have a mistborn who has no vials. But claiming mistborn, and getting players to pass you vials is just as good an idea for an eliminator. Everyone can only do one action per cycle, and passing an item is an action. Getting villagers to use their action to pass their items to Wilson means that they aren’t using their action to explore, which now that we’ve seemingly reached the expected number of eliminators (there haven’t been any omens for the last 2 nights), means that exploring only benefits the villagers by finding useful items. The other benefit is also obvious - the eliminators get gifted items from the village. But why would she make a risky claim about me being Jondesu’s killer if it’s not true? There’s a few reasons why she might. In LG15b, if I recall correctly, she feared that she was going to be caught out, or scanned (it was Alvron she was paranoid of at the time, I think). She made a plan with Burnt, where she would sacrifice herself so help put Burnt in a position of trust in the village. I’m pretty sure it paid off - Burnt survived most of the game having been the scanner to catch Wilson. I could see her attempting a risky play to have some fun (and she’s not too concerned dying provided it’s not early, I think), particularly if she thought that there was a good chance of it putting her team in a favourable position in a few cycles. And I think the eliminators will be in a favourable position, even if Wilson gets lynched next cycle. We have 24 players still alive. We have 6 players I’d regard as inactive, I think (although I should probably double check): Clanky, Jefry, Nathan, PK, Polking, Chaos. Let’s say one of those is an eliminator. That leaves us with 19 active players, 5 of which are eliminators, so the teams are basically 5:14, or 6:14, if the inactive is just lurking. That’s 4 mislynches to even teams. Just 3 mislynches puts us in dangerous territory, if some of the low actives, like Straw or Mark are still alive and don’t turn up. So how does Wilson get her mislynches? Well, first one is easy - this cycle, she can pick almost anyone to throw suspicion on, given she’d be in theory be able to scan with the tin vial she had received, and most people would go along with it. In this scenario, I’m chosen because we’ve not interacted much this game, and she is able to point to some of my posts to throw suspicion on me. This does throw a lot of suspicion on her next cycle, but even then, she’s lead the lynch on two villagers already and she still has the village’s support. I’m not entirely convinced she wouldn’t be able to get out of the lynch, given they’d also have killed another player during the night turn. But even if she dies, the focus is now going to be on her allies. I’d expect most of them to be village, and there’d be a good chance one of them would get lynched the following cycle, giving Wilson her 2nd mislynch. Another night cycle, another vocal player dead. The eliminators still need another mislynch or two, but the focus has been off any eliminator for 3 full cycles, and there’s the possibility of still being suspicion on a number of villagers too. I very much doubt the eliminators would have all that much trouble getting their 3rd mislynch, if any low actives go inactive, the village no longer really has that good a chance. Sorry for the length of my post, but I think most of it was necessary. It's my best working theory for the moment, anyway. So, Wilson, I guess.
  8. Hearing voices in his head made him wonder if he was crazy. The only thing that had suggested he wasn't entirely going mad was the voices were of the others in the house, and he'd heard Khaos say stuff before Hess came in and told him exactly the same thing. Even still, he'd found the need to go for a walk to clear his head, and find out what was going on. Turned out, Khaos and Aon had also experienced the same phenomena. He hoped that this effect would prove beneficial, rather than not. Okay, shifting back to out of character to return some clarity to the discussion. @Aonar Faileas I'd rather consider the possibility of something having messed with Wilson's scan, assuming she did indeed scan me, whatever the probability of that is, first, in case this can be resolved peacefully. We're starting to see more and more different types of items appear - Jondesu had feruchemical bracers, Daniyah had a multiuse Medical Fabrial (mine had the 'Ancient' quality, which meant it unfortunately only had one use). I assume that feruchemical items would convey specific abilities, not that Jondesu's gives any indication of what it may have been. @little wilson I assume you've had the opportunity to gather information more than most. Have you had any indication of how any feruchemical abilities work? The other thing I could see as messing with a scan would be an illusion based fabrial. And yeah, Aonar, I'm willing to cast suspicion on Wilson. Last cycle I had no reason to. I have concerns I can bring up, but I planned on waiting for Wilson's response first. Edit: Vote Tally Haelbarde(3): Wilson, JUQ, Aonar In case anyone else was keeping count...
  9. Ignore the fact that Albert has become psychic for the moment, and is currently communicating telepathically with Khaos, or some such thing... Maybe Khaos is psychic? Albert was deadly serious. He was being falsely accused by someone he respected. He thought maybe it had been a trick, a clever ploy to make him trip up if he was one of the monsters killing people. But Khaos wasn't letting up!? He figured maybe she had misunderstood his words the other day. People had had questions about her, and he wanted to offer a balanced opinion on the matter. For some reason, he found himself wanting others to respect her. It was an odd feeling. He acknowledge there was a hidden deviousness to Khaos that shouldn't be ignored, but he'd let everyone know that she had his support in his claims. Although that might be changing... He did think that maybe he could have vocalized those sentiments clearer and more concise though. He blamed having his nose in a book at the time. He wracked his brains for anything else that she could be concerned about. He guessed his decisions earlier that lead to the death of Nightspud could maybe be worrying her. But then he expected that to be the case when he voted, honestly being slightly surprised that it took this long for anyone to bring it up, but he wouldn't have changed anything. Doing the right thing in not letting a new player die for an innocent mistake was worth all the suspicion in the world. If that single action ended up being the sole reason for his demise, he would die have no regrets. There had been no reports of evil omens being found in the last few days, so it seemed unlikely Khaos had become a monster. He wondered instead if the monsters had decided to trick Khaos. He had found a Medical Fabrial, similar to one Yiferen was found with. And a bracer that seemed to have properties described as 'feruchemical' by his books had been left behind when Quintus' corpse had been stolen. There were some decidedly odd things in this house. He wondered if there were any devices that could confuse a tineye. His research implied that something like that could in theory be achieved through one or two feruchemical metals, and he wondered what other secrets the House held.
  10. Albert almost had a heart attack when Hess came up behind him quickly and begin loudly badmouthing him. "Khaos saw me do what!?" He was incredulous. "How could she think such a thing!? I spent quite some time deliberating whether to seek out more of the House's secrets or to use my ancient healing fabrial to help heal her from her recent attack, and prevent further! What sort of repayment is this for causing the fabrial to break!?" *blinks*. Umm. Okay. I can't claim to have seen that one coming... You sure you're not the Spanish Inquisition, Wilson? Well, I guess I'll start by answering your questions? Nothing. Nothing... No time at all? And how about no? I assume you're claiming to have ‘scanned’ me last night? While I’m not who I’d have expected to be your first scan this game, I guess it could make some sort of sense - your connections with Seonid, El and Aonar are public knowledge, meaning maybe I’d be less likely to get random eliminator killed? But that doesn’t really help explain why you’d be trying to frame me? Unless this is the most elaborate poke vote that I’ve seen in a SE game... Edit: The thief strikes again! He took my lerasium-brass alloy...
  11. Quicklinks > Rules > Night 0 > Day 1 > Night 1 > Day 2 > Night 2 > Day 3 > Night 3 > Day 4 > Night 4 > Day 5 > Night 5 > Day 6 To be in line with Meta's rule from the Q&A thread, I will now be including some form of RP in every post: Tragic as it had been to find the library at the cost of Moro's life, this is exactly what Professor Albert Hae had been hoping to find. Though he hadn't found any works attributed to any of the Five Scholars, he'd certainly found some works that predated the Many War, containing some interesting insights into the nature of BioChromancy. He'd made some notes, but if he survived this experience, he most definitely had to find some way to own this house, just so he could have unlimited access to this library.
  12. No ones going to change if they don't want to. But sometimes you want to change but find it hard to do so. I'd personally appreciate having the rules to help me get to where I wanted to be.
  13. Doesn't having rules help people realise they are part of the problem?
  14. I think you mean why does Arinian have a name so similar to Araris, who has been here for a much longer time. Petition to call Arinian 'Arin'?
  15. I don't think I'm prioritizing winning there. I'm prioritizing playing the game, and wanting to not get distracted by people who have signed up, but aren't playing (RPing or engaging in discussion) and thus affecting the game balance. As far as RP goes, inactive are irrelevant though, which is why I had focused more on the game discuss / actions aspect. I agree that it would be good, or maybe it is even necessary, to have more engagement with the setting, and players doing RP. I noted in my initial post that we need to discuss that too (and would have written more about it if not for the fact I'd spent a good hour on the post already and it was now 1:30am and I wanted to be up early the next day). Why I'm pessimistic about the change coming from the players is because thus far, not much has happened. It's not like it's a particularly new problem, and there have been discussions about it before. I'm happy to be proven wrong though, and maybe having this discussion here will be seen and people will champion change. I've just seen enough people say they are going to try do a better job at RPing/discussing and repeatedly end up not actually thinking about how much time they have available, and don't manage to change. I'm guilty of doing that. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Getting yourself to change can be hard. So while people work things out to change the meta, I'd rather more rules to provide a helping hand, and provide some degree of improvement in the mean time.
  16. I know that I've usually had multiple ideas for games at any one time, with varying levels of complexity, and I was under the impression I'm not unique in that regard. If that's true of many people, I don't think people will mind too much if they can't run some of their wilder ideas. I guess that's more something which would need to be surveyed. I'm aware that the mods are busy people, but I don't view the ideas I've suggested as anything you really have to monitor. If a rule is written out somewhere, there's a PM full of players who GM - they are just as able to say to someone who wants to GM "hey awesome. Have you checked out this link? It's got some helpful hints and tips for creating and running games, and some guidelines for how the game should work." If they choose to ignore all that, when it comes their turn to GM, you don't have to give them the go ahead to run their game until it's fine. I guess that last bit could be time consuming- curious, when people sign up to GM do most people keep to running the game they had in mind at the time? The other time consuming part of the process is the designing and writing of rules/guidelines/articles. But that's what this discussion is for. And I would be happy to help work on writing drafts of that stuff, once ideas had been decided on, and it's quite possible others would to.p
  17. There is a difference between running a massive faction game, or a dozen totally custom new roles, or trying an item shop with money, or whatever else has tons of moving parts, and taking the basic mafia formula, include a few regular roles that work well thematically, and add in 1 unique role that is new but very thematic, and easy enough to balance with the other few included roles. Like what about LG22 - most of those roles are fairly standard mafia roles. You had a slight variation, with the forsaken providing an extra kill, while having some confirmed village players. It did have a fair about of different things going on, but most of them were fairly straight forward, and I wouldn't imagine would be terribly hard to balance. It still had some level of complexity, and was delightfully thematic. Going more complex than that is where it more becomes a problem, and has made up the majority of games, from at least since LG18. I think it's plenty easy enough to come up with interesting games that aren't too far astray from standard elimination while still being unique. But that is not a workable solution, unless you maybe have a village vigilante. I mean, maybe the eliminators can clean out inactives with their kill, but then you're asking them to ignore their win con to do a public service. Or the village is wasting their lynch on people not engaging with the game, while the eliminators gain an advantage. That's just providing further distraction from the game. That's where a filter just automatically deals with that. I agree that that is a nice idea. And that's probably the way it should be. But thus far, I've not seen much evidence to suggest that that is at all likely to occur by itself. I think we need to take a leaf out of Nohadon's book (although strictly, it'd more be Words of Radiance, I think), and force the change from the top. Make a statement by implementing some rules and guidelines, will filter down to the GMs, and send a message to the players. Once the players get used to it, I expect it would sustain itself. New players will emulate the existing players, and increased activity will encourage activity.
  18. Keep in mind that this game starts on the 13th, and if it gets to around 17 players, then the most the game should get to is 8 cycles, or days. Means game should be done by the 21st, which is about when you're leaving? Also keep in mind that by the time it gets to that point in the game, there should only be a few players left, meaning there's a good chance you'd have died before that point, if the game was still going. Rollover will be at the same time as the timer ends. For everyone playing, please note that I have decided I will use the inactivity filter, as follows: You are required to make at least one game relevant post per cycle (Posting to say your posting to avoid the filter, or just turning up and saying 'I have nothing to say" doesn't count as game relevant). Anyone who doesn't make one game relevant post in a cycle will be removed from the game (their characters will be found dead in their sleep). Everyone has one free pass - you can miss one cycle without a post. Additionally, if you contact me in advance about not being able to make a post in a cycle, you gain a second free pass. Other arrangements could potentially be made if you keep me informed of absences.
  19. Thanks for your response! And you're right, this is probably the better place for this discussion Yeah, you're personal enjoyment is the more important thing. I just hope that we can encourage change that'll return SE to something you can enjoy. I agree that not enough people care. Most of the people who do are the players who started playing the earliest, and a lot of those have either already left, or are in the process of leaving (unless they're a mod). Which is why I thought changes would have to be initiated by the GMs, but both from what you've said, and my own thoughts since my post, I'm now of the opinion that change is only going to happen if the Mods create and enforce some new policies to push the community in a better direction. More on that later. That's a good point - it would probably be worthwhile finding and then compiling and/or summarising all the various discussion on the matter scattered in various docs. @Elbereth don't suppose you'd have screenshots of that sorta thing, before I start trawling through docs? @little wilson Don't suppose you'd recall any docs in particular to start looking at? Agreed. I wonder if requiring new GMs to have run at least 3 standard games first would help with that. At least immediately, it would cut down on the number of complex games, and possibly going forwards, it would give GM's a better appreciation of the work necessary to balance things when running more complex games. And your point about the lynch being there just because is very true - I know that sometimes I've brainstormed cool game ideas, and found the lynch has just been a pain. Which is why I canned those ideas. To a certain degree, people also just don't know how to deal with the lynch either, from not having had to. Yeah... I know I'd be interested in doing that sorta thing, but I guess it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. Trying would probably be the best way of finding out. More standard games, with a better idea of how to deal with the lynch should help with getting conversation going. Because yeah, a lot of people just play reactively. But when the proactive players get lynched, everything lapses into inactivity. So the trick is working out how to get the reactive players to play proactively. Again, I think the best way of improving that is focusing properly mafia style games. Filters or the availbility of pinchhitters in every game should help with some. As far as a consensus on acceptable activity goes, the general rules do sort of state the expected activity. The issue is players not paying attention to them, and to a certain degree, GM's not helping either - the rules actually say to expect filters/warnings for inactivity in QF and MR games. So where are they? The GM's haven't paid any attention to them either. And if they don't, then that's where it falls to the mods to enforce their rules, or at least actively remind GMs about those rules. And I don't think it would be all that hard for the mods to more actively encourage or enforce a few rules. Like, requiring GMs to have run a few standard games first before running a more complex game - if you've made that a rule, just let newer GMs know. If a GM isn't willing to abide by that, they don't get given the go ahead to run a game. That doesn't really create any overhead for the mods. Equally, getting GMs to include a strategy for dealing with players going inactive isn't that hard either. The main thing there is to have a list of options, with examples or recommendations for when to use them, and just require that the GM has included one in their rules. Once you've got that list made, and those rules implemented, it's not much work for the mods, it's not much work for the GMs, and then it's sent a message to the player base about the expected levels of activity, while also encouraging games that will help players learn to be more proactive in their play. I may as well note here, while I think about it, that the other thing that could do with being discussed is RP in these games.
  20. Any one know if any of those inactives I listed has been active in PMs? I'd be surprised if Jefry or Nathan were, or Orlok. But the others all could be.
  21. Got the quicklinks up, if people have been using them. Also have a vote tally: Daniyah(5): Wilson, Seonid, Straw, Jondesu, Unodus Wilson(1): Ecthelion I do agree that Daniyah does seem somewhat suspicious - @Daniyah You say you protected yourself? Was there any particular reason you felt the need to do so? And I agree with I think it was Seonid - thus far, Wilson is playing about as much as I'd expect. She's very capable of pulling a WGG (she and Burnt Spaghetti effectively pulled one off in LG15b, right?), but yeah, doesn't seem like it'd be the best play right now. There's plenty of low active or inactive players, while still enough players actually contributing to the discussion that she was in a nice incognito spot. Incidentally, a great position for an eliminator to be in, but that's not the vibe I'm getting. And doing a publicity stunt now wouldn't really help her out. Given I know she wanted to be more relaxed about her play this and subsequent games, while she could be being super devious and mind gaming the hell out of us right now (I believe she's capable of doing so), I'd be confident that's not happening at the moment. If more evidence came to light, I'd possibly revise my position, but at the moment, that doesn't seem likely. Of course, there's still the chance the eliminators will get another teammember. Although given none where found last night, this seems fairly unlikely. I think I'm going to withhold my vote for the moment. I would like to hear Daniyah respond to my question, and I'm sorta wary of the (edit: equal) largest bandwagon we've had yet. Edit: Having updated my notes, our inactives are essentially: Bugsy (only if he doesn't post again this cycle) Doctor (posted Day 3 I think, but otherwise hasn't posted since Day 1) Jefrywlfersn (posted twice N0, but not since) Mark IV (hasn't posted since D3) nathanvanduiji (hasn't posted this game) Orlok (hasn't posted since D1) Polking (has only posted on D0 and D2) Lady of Chaos (well, posted last cycle, but has only made about 4 posts across D1, D3, and D4, and not really contributed anything). That's 8/26 (30%). Also, worse case scenario, none of those players are eliminators, which means eliminators:villagers is 1:2 (6:12). And while I'm throwing out stats, our number of unique players posting is dropping quicker than we're losing players: N0 | 28 D1 | 30 N1 | 15 D2 | 18 N2 | 16 D3 | 19 N3 | 12 D4 | 14 N4 | 13 Edit 2 - @Unodus 2? Wilson said she was talking to Seonid, Aonar, and El in addition to Daniyah. I assume the others all knew, but Daniyah was the last to find out.

  23. QF20 - Summitmist Manor It’s Loredas, the 3rd of Hearthfire, in the year 433 of the Third Era, and everything is awesome. I mean, there’s rumours that the Emperor was killed by assassins, and appearance of gates to Oblivion but what are the chances of that?! You’re not worried, and life is great. Every day, you wander around the cities of Cyrodil, stopping here and there to engage in random and meaningless conversation about that disgusting mudcrab (they are horrible creatures!) you saw the other day, have the odd disagreement, and then return home to sleep. Life is pretty great. But you didn’t realise it could be better. Until this morning that is, when you received a mysterious letter. Will you take the quest, or miss out on the most fun that can be had? The Rules There are two teams: Guests and Assassins. The Guests win if all the Assassins are dead. The Assassins win if they outnumber the living Guests. Each cycle will be 24 hours long, and will be a combined Day/Night cycle. Everyone may vote to lynch a player. Vote for a player by posting their name in red. To retract a vote, in a subsequent post (or edit it into the bottom of your post, if no one has posted after you) put the players name in green. If you forget to retract a vote, and end up with multiple votes on different players, I will be taking the earliest vote placed. Please use players profile names, rather than their character names, when placing votes. Assassins are able to communicate privately with each other in a shared doc. Each cycle they can decide to kill one player. Once a target is decided, one person must put in the kill order in their role PM. If multiple orders are placed, targeting different players, no kill will happen. All discussion must happen in the main thread - there will be no player-player PMs. Once during the game, the Assassins can request the GM put in lynch votes on behalf of their team. Every living Assassins must agree to this action. If this happens, the votes will be posted ~3 minutes prior to the end of cycle. NOTE The purpose of running this game is to allow people to practice or learn the skills necessary to find/catch eliminators just based on what they say, and how they vote. I feel this is something that we’ve not had a lot of lately, and that it could be something that contributes to players going inactive in games, if they don’t have an interesting role. This is only going to work if players make the effort to contribute to the game. Please consider, before signing up, if you are going to be able to put in the time to keep up with the game, and contribute to discussion. Consider not signing up if you don’t honestly think you will be able to remain active for the entire game. As compared to the last game, I have removed the requirement for 2 votes for a lynch. Also, I would like people's thoughts on the idea of including an inactivity filter with the requirement that everyone make at least 1 post that contributes to the game discussion each cycle. Everyone would be able to miss doing this once per game. If you wanted to choose a thematic character, but don't have any knowledge of the source material, this is set during the events of the game The Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion. A bunch of your typical fantasy races appear in the world (3 varieties of elves (discounting orcs), 4 varieties of humans, plus Orcs, Khajit (cat people), and Argonians (lizard people), among others. Birthsigns are a big thing too (similar to the zodiac signs). There is also magic, which is divided in to a number of different schools that can be focused on. EDIT: Inactivity filter You are required to make at least one game relevant post per cycle (Posting to say your posting to avoid the filter, or just turning up and saying 'I have nothing to say" doesn't count as game relevant). P.S. I guarantee that there definitely won't necessarily be secrets. Quick Links:
