You 'd me... But yes, this. Don't forget you are allowed to ask the GM for clarifications of game rules. I wasn't going to volunteer them, but I would have answered some questions if asked.

Kills and votes were effectively simultaneous in this game - didn't interfere with each other at all. If you'd lynched Aman, for instance, it would have gone to 2v2, and continued playing. If not for the requirement of 2 votes to lynch, it would have been feasible to have complete draw. But yeah, I guess it's something of a formality. Still, I don't think I've played any games where a tie formally ends the game?

Yeah, the eliminators played well. And never trust Aman I would recommend everyone have a look at the traitor doc by the way. They did a good job (other than forgetting to put a kill in at one point...) And to clarify - the game rules said that the traitors had to outnumber the researchers. That meant that a tie in numbers (3v3) doesn't end the game. To be honest, I'm surprised so many people were unsure about that...

Breakthrough They had finally reached it. The trail had started climbing upwards, while also becoming more cleared out, eventually turning into a road. They’d crested the top, and looked down into the bowl shaped depression before them. Yes, it was overgrown, and just a little bit swampy, but this was what they’d been looking for. Patji’s Cauldron. There looked to be something of an outpost here, all made out of stone, and covered in the same slime as the marker they’d found yesterday. How had this gotten here? Nothing like this had ever been reported as being found anywhere. Was this from a lost civilisation? This was going to be groundbreaking discovery! They’d all spread out, to look through the buildings, to find anything to bring back with them, and to take notes of what they found. Szeth had accompanied Idoya, helping her investigate some of the outer structures. “I wonder what all these symbols mean…” She looked around, surprised when there was no response, only to see Szeth slump to the ground. “You…!” Then… Assassin was lynched. They were a Researcher. Vote Tally Assassin(3): Nyali, Stick, Amanuensis Nyali(3): Jondesu, Assassin, Wonko And that's the game! The Traitors have won, as they now outnumber the Researchers. The GM's thoughts, and the last few write ups, should be coming in the next few days. Also coming in the next few days will be the signups for a QF, which I will be running with much the same rules. Cycle 7 - Breaking Point They found what must have been part of a trail. There were relatively even spacings between the trees, and there was some evidence of the ground being flattened in places, although the land had long since fought back. Midmorning, they’d come across a small stone pillar covered in an odd green-grey growth. Idoya surmised it was meant as some sort of marker, though she didn’t recognize any of the pictograms on it. They’d spent an hour there, so she could sketch some of the markings for her notes. It didn’t help when a fight broke out. Returning to the camp, quite the scene confronted her. The group had divided itself into three parts. One group wanted to return - proof of the rumours had been found, but someone had been killing them to try stop them from getting here. They were arguing it would be best to leave it for whoever wanted it, and then maybe everyone would get out of it alive. Another group argued that they’d come this far, it was foolish to not see the journey through. The last group was arguing that they’d killed the last of the traitors the other day, and so everything was safe. But everyone was suspicious everyone else for it. Then a rock got thrown, and the result was a massive brawl. When the dust settled, everyone was bruised and battered, and there were 2 corpse - Doc had seemingly hit his head and bled out, and ‘This could also be you’ was lying there with a knife in his chest. Everyone was awfully quiet after that. Doc was lynched. He was a Researcher. Clanky was killed. He was a Researcher. Vote Tally Nyali(2): Doc, Jond Doc(3): Nyali, Assassin, Aman Assassin(2): Stick, Clanky

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Haelbarde replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
A Google search brings references to it, although not official. But still, bioChroma is all about necromancy, so it works. Edit: While I'm glad there are people talking in the MR, why nothing here... I think I'm going to throw a vote on Paranoid King. He's been on the shard recently (4 hours ago, from when I posted this), yet hasn't posted since Day 2. Has anyone called him out? Seems to me like a good candidate for someone who got turned from the N1 omen, and then went quiet, hoping to avoid attention.- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Haelbarde replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think of bandwagons as players arbitrarily throwing votes on someone in quick succession with the only reason being "what he said, that seems reasonable". That wasn't really the case though. Those "bandwagons" were mostly people trying to tie up the lynch. Which is why it didn't dissolve - half the people would only take off their vote if someone else took off theirs from the other option. And people generally being inactive or low activity, to not get on to change votes. I think Unodus had the right idea though, although I'd focus more on the low actives than complete inactives, because like a few people mentioned, inactive aren't generating eliminators - it's the people who don't talk/put opinions out there, but are active but are both not helping out, and hard to catch out in thread which are a bigger problem. I was joking And yeah, does seem somewhat easy to get some cool stuff, if assassin is anything to go off, although she might have just got lucky...- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Haelbarde replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Heh. So when we get another eliminator, we'll know who to blame But anyway, curious - why the change of heart? You were more sure of him being a village last we heard. @Ookla the Paranoid I asked too late in the cycle for you to respond, but you can still answer the question - could you articulate why you were suspicious of assassin? Because everyone else who voted had an adequate reason to, but not you. I'm not satisfied that you can't do any better than "had a gut feeling".- 980 replies

Cycle 6 - Breakneck Idoya knew they were getting close. They had found more carvings like the one on the tree two days before, and they were coming more frequent. Someone had even found one on a larger rock that they’d passed on their trek. No one had seen anything like them either, which was promising. It suggested that there had been people here before, from a long time ago too. She was getting worried though. People were still being found dead, even though she knew the rest of the expedition had been doing their best to get rid of the murderers. The only person they knew had been one of the murderers was Charlie, and his letter had indicated there were at least two others but had offered no further clues… A brief, sharp pain was the only indication he had that something was wrong. But then he ignored it, trying to get comfortable against the tree, while everyone had stopped to eat. It was only minutes before he was numb all over, and unable to move an inch. He could still see and hear what was going on, but nothing else. He couldn’t move at all, he couldn’t talk, he couldn’t make any sound. “I think it’s Sean. He’s been so quiet the whole time. But I think he was friends with Charlie, and didn’t say anything when we left him behind. I say we abandon him.” It sounded like Doc. Then more voices agreed. He tried to scream out, but it was as if he had no mouth. It turned out he couldn’t even weep, as he saw all his friends pack up and leave him paralyzed against the tree. And then his heart broke, as he saw one of their party walk up behind Rumberry, snap his neck, and hid him in some ferns, before quickly catching up to the others. Polking was lynched. He was a Researcher. Ecthelion III was killed. He was a Researcher. Vote Tally Polking(5): Doc, Aman, Jondesu, Nyali, Ecthelion Assassin(1): Clanky A reminder - If you participate in Ookla season, please sign your posts with the username you signed up under. This is particularly important if you are placing, changing, or removing votes, as I will ignore any posts that aren't signed. (I will accept having your username in your sig or member title in a way that clearly identifies you as well) When placing or removing votes on players participating in Ookla season, please place votes using the username they signed up with, not their Ookla name. I will not accept any votes or kill orders that don't follow these rules.

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Haelbarde replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'd meant to say "fake claiming having lerasium", which is why I said "also a knife". As for what it does, N2 I was PM'd by someone who had a Lerasium alloy, and that seemed to work as expected - burn it to gain the allomantic ability. So I imagine it would do what you would expect it to - give you all the allomantic powers. Although, as I understand it, you have to have metal vials (like Sticks) to actually use the abilities.- 980 replies

Quicklinks> Rules> Night 0> Day 1> Night 1> Day 2> Night 2 > Day 3 > Night 3 Edit - Botherations. I had hoped that Assassin was false claiming to try and avoid the lynch. And she had a knife too? While I still stand by my belief that we shouldn't kill new players for underestimating the value of the lynch, that's not a cost I wish we had to pay for not doing so...- 980 replies

Your original vote for Araris (even if you meant Arinian) was still meant to try and tie up the lynch, which is what you were being accused of. Vote Tally Assassin(4): Araris{1}, Straw{1}, JUQ{2}, Jondesu{2} Elenion(0): Ecthelion{1} Arinian(4): Clanky{1}, Unodus{1}, Ecthelion{2}, Assassin{2}, Magestar{1} Araris(0): Jondesu{1}, Assassin{1} Ecthelion(0): Elenion{1}, JUQ{1} Straw(1): Wilson{1}, Hael{1} Nathan(2): Unodus{2}, Elenion{2} Assassin(4): Araris, Straw, JUQ, Jondesu Arinian(4): Clanky, Ecthelion, Assassin, Magestar Straw(2): Wilson, Hael Nathan(2): Unodus, Elenion Can't say I'm feeling either the Assassin lynch or the Arinian lynch. Assassin seems to have a poke vote from Araris, an arbitrary vote from Straw, and a vote from JUQ because he doesn't believe in the Arinian lynch. Arinian's sole crime seems to be that he hasn't be pro lynch? Given that I don't think it came up at the start the game (I'll go check...), as he just started this game, he's possibly one of the few players who hasn't come across the whole lynch (particularly D1 lynch) discussion. I don't feel like that's something worth killing a new player for... Plus, the 3rd vote on him is Assassin's reactionary vote to tie the lynch. @Unodus I don't know if lynching someone who just isn't around is necessarily any more helpful (jefrywilfrsn would be in the same situation, and chaos, if she'd not posted). Both of those seem like you could rely on them to just not turn up this game. While the aim is to not lynch actives, there's plenty low activity players who would be better served receiving some pressure. Like Straw, for example. About their only contributions are to comment on if they found anything at night or not, a reactionary vote on PK on a previous day cycle, and a vote with basically no contribution this cycle. I think I'm going to join Wilson with a vote on Straw. @Ookla the Paranoid If you get on, care to try and explain your vote on Assassin better? EDIT: So Arinian has 4 votes, not 3. (I'd missed @Magestar's vote). His vote had been to tie the lynch, but it was already tied.. I'll probably shift my vote to assassin, to tie the vote, if nothing else changes... EDIT 2: So I double checked again (this time referening JUQ's tally). Seems I missed Jondesu's vote change too... So Magestar did tie the votes, at 4.- 980 replies

@Ookthelion III I know, I know... I didn't get them all done, but I cleaned up cycle 1's, added more stuff to El's excellent death scene(s) she wrote for herself, as well as one for cycle 3, all of which have been kindly edited in by Alv. I'll be trying to get the rest done in the morning tomorrow, before the end of cycle.

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Haelbarde replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I've been keeping notes on who has been posting each cycle. Aonar hasn't posted since Day 1, although he responded to a PM I sent him. EDIT: Oh, he's posted this cycle. Well that's something. Jefrywlferson only posted once, which was on Day 1 to apologize for being inactive. Magestar, until his post this cycle, hadn't posted since Night 1. Nathanvanduij hasn't posted at all. Orlok hasn't posted since Day 1, due to RL stuff. Polking has only posted in Night 0 and Day 2. Seonid is low active (but I believe his wife just had a baby) The Lady of Choas only posted on Day 1 So there's 3 proper inactives, two low/inactives who have notified us that they'd be low actives, and a lurker. Note that this is just based on if they posted or not. There's a more people that are posting once per cycle but it not being particularly relevant/helpful.- 980 replies
