Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Sart replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Vote Count: Wonko (0): Matrim's Dice TKN (2): Ashbringer, Matrim's Dice Stick (2): DrakeMarshall, Experience Amanuensis (1): Stick Quintessential (1): Wonko My last post mixed up Wonko and TKN, which is not helpful. I need to logic this out. First question: What does being Cursed by Time do? It does not affect the target of action. My reasoning? I was not cursed by time, but my action from cycle 1 was blocked on cycle 2. It affects the taker of the action. My reasoning is the same as before. Ashbringer's block on me time traveled from cycle 2 to cycle 1. Therefore, being Cursed by Time puts your action one cycle backwards in time. Second question: How is there a Jabberwock kill on Cycle 3? The obvious answer is that the Jabberwock was Cursed by Time. However, this presents an obvious contradiction. The Jabberwock also killed someone on Cycle 4. Third question: If the Jabberwock was Cursed by Time, how did it manage to kill someone Cycle 4? I've floated the possibility that being Cursed by Time only affects you 50% of the time. Ashbringer just got unlucky both times. Another possibility is that the Jabberwock has the ability to Time Travel. Honestly, not the craziest idea at this point. Fourth question: If the Jabberwock was Cursed by Time, who are the suspects? Obviously, it would be anyone who was Cursed by Time on Cycle 4. Fifth question: How long does being Cursed by Time last for? Given Ash's curses of Fifth, it appears to be a permanent condition. My guess is the retroactive kill on Cycle 2 on Scars, which was only reported on Cycle 4, was Ash's Cycle 3 action. Sixth question: Who has reported being Cursed By Time? The list is small: Wonko, Ashbringer, Stick, and TKN I'm going to continue this in a little bit.- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Sart replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
And if he knew he could kill someone retroactively, why not target me, the person who (unintentionally) blocked his win condition? This theory isn't holding water. Further, I wasn't cursed by Time Cycle 1 or 2 and yet my Cycle 1 action got rejected on Cycle 2. My best guess is it's only a probability for the person cursed by Time to affect last cycle. That would explain one kill being in the present and one in the past.- 683 replies

Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. To be clear, I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but I have a feeling it has something to do with getting cursed by time.- 683 replies

Forgot you got voted out first last time. Matrim's Dice, for that alone. I suppose pocketing is the wrong word, but it just felt off to give a village read with that little to go on. Considering that you started with a negative read, especially with Ash bemoaning his fate in thread, that whole conversation makes more sense. Back to square one then. Might be late in the day to do this, but I'm going to try poking. @Amanuensis Amanuensis. I'd like more participation please.- 683 replies

Precisely what happened. Due to the temporal nonsense, I never had Cake at any point, and thus couldn't get smaller.- 683 replies

I don't know if I believe you, but fine. Ashbringer. To clarify what's happened, someone has expelled me from the tea party cycle 1. This means I have no longer had tea, which is terrible news, as it means I no longer have any cake or tea. I don't understand how this has happened, but it's very frustrating.- 683 replies

Ashbringer. I know what you're doing, and I'm not happy about it. Stop using your time powers on me, this game is hard enough to keep track of without time travel being involved.- 683 replies

That makes sense. My faction color is yellow. Assuming that the suit theory is holding true, that means you're not the same suit as me. Therefore, Stick.- 683 replies

I didn't do it in the Long Game because that had an inactivity filter, plus we had basically all experienced players. This game doesn't have any inactivity filter (that we know of), so we're responsible for maintaining activity. To be clear, I'll retract my vote if Scars puts down a vote. It's just a way of encouraging activity.- 683 replies

Seriously? I can't believe Steel was actually evil. I knew that was a possibility, but I didn't think it was actually true.

Sarenrae was in deep trouble. After splitting her time diligently in two fields, she was going to be denied Mastery in both of them. It wasn't fair. This entire academy had turned into a ghost town. She was pretty sure that she was going to be the only Student left. But could she get a discount of any kind? Of course not. She was going to be old and grey before she got her Masters post at this rate. The Master Alchemist was apparently a Skindancer, but no one seemed able to do anything about it. At this rate, it was time to do some soul searching, before she went mad with boredom. Ironically, she had gotten her wish for peace and quiet.
