  1. I am offend! Dark alleys are so cliché.
  2. So...a Returned with all the colour leached from them (from the Lifelessing), but with a BioChromatic aura? It's possible that he meant small d drab. The other thing is that they would be Invested with someone else's Breath, and not in a manner that would allow them to assimilate it. So they might function perfectly well, but whenever someone Commanded them to do something with command phrases, they would feel a compulsion to act. One they could easily repress, probably, but still a compulsion - and if you could whisper in their ear when they were sleeping, they just might obey unconsciously.
  3. Oh, I'm compounding Zinc. Let me tell you, it's really hard to stick bits of bloody metal through your own thighs. I might have gotten HIV! Well, it's a good thing I stole all those Breaths at gunpoint. Immunity to disease is so handy.
  4. That doesn't require forging. Just some hemalurgic spiking of Identity, duralumin allomancy, duralumin feruchemy, and brass allomancy. Steal Identity, compound Connection, Sooth suspicion. Voila.
  5. When you wonder if Caleb is just gonna spike himself hemalurgically by accident.
  6. Scanning the thread, I'd like to point something out: The way Wyndle appears to Lift is radically different than how most spren appear (less of a "fairy-like" vibe and interacts with the world in Lift's eyes oddly). In addition, Lift can touch spren and is "partly in the Cognitive Realm." So, my question is, is Lift maybe perceiving Wyndle differently than others might? Wyndle and Ym's spren have some similarities: Growing plants, lights or crystals. However, Wyndle seems much more mature and much more real. So, is it possible that Ym is also an Edgedancer, but without the same advantages given to Lift by the Night mother that allows her to interact with spren more easily? After all, Ym never mentioned future-sight, and the "light" could refer to Stormlight rather than Illumination.
  7. Oh god. A nigh-invincible, absolutely determined killing machine, eternally stuck in a manic phase. Though feruchemical steel would be a lot more sustainable.
  8. Look up Rothfuss interviews on the series, he says the name.
  9. I think it's to do with the fact that each type of allomantic Investiture can be thought of as a key, and each type of Misting has a lock fitted to that key, with Mistborn having all the locks. When you try to use a key in the lock that isn't perfect, it rattles and has trouble turning, expending energy to hurt you. When it's just wrong, it flies at the door full force and skewers it. This is just an analogy
  10. I always end up saying it "glottal-stop voath"
  11. What would be the most terrifying allomantic or feruchemical power to spike an Electrum compounder with?
  12. Please give us an excuse to see him with a Shardblade stuck through his head...
  13. Unless Identity gives, you know, presence or something, and Aluminium compounders can basically command anyone in their presence to do whatever they ask.
  14. I think, barring deadly disease, Electrum feruchemy would be more useful. By the way, possibly the most terrifying thing I can imagine is an Electrum compounder.
  15. Just a suggestion
  16. Maybe a long Styrofoam block, with two holes for a pair of dowels, which you fix into a wooden hilt, and fill with hot glue?
  17. That would suggest that growth hormones that also affect gender and gender-related brain structure have a partial causation
  18. Ok, how on earth am I in third suddenly?
  19. Hypnosis sounds dubious.
  20. Of course, that kind of subverts the point of the magic system, which is about giving - you gain power by being gifted it.
  21. That new title...doesn't help much.
  22. DIE SCUM! *Shenk* I...I just killed a Shardbearer. His blades are min-AUGH ALL MY LIMBS THIS ROOM IS LITERALLY FULL OF SHARDBLADES AND I CAN'T MOVE!
  23. You know, I wonder if there's an Eleventh Heightening that allows that command to actually work?
  24. Perhaps it only functions as a Shardpool during Ascension every 1024 years?
