I think the answer to that is generally, "Whichever one they want to." An argument could be made that, as king, Taravangian is not subject to his own laws, and so the laws of a greater authority hold him instead - and if, for instance, that greater authority was the Almighty or the Heralds, well... Handy they've got one, isn't it?

I've had this issue as well. I think the problem is that the "full version" link goes to the site again, and your phone recognizes the address and loads it from the cache instead of the server, because the site hasn't registered any changes since it was updated in your cache. You can fix it by clearing the cache. Cheers!

Japanese language developped independantly of Chinese, but they got together a centralized power structure and, when trading with China arose, they coopted the Chinese system for themselves. Chinese writing is not phonetic, so the first system that arose was an adaptation of that - "classical" kanji. Hiragami came next, a phonetic system derived from the Chinese characters and Japanese spoken language. Lastly, katakana, which is used for "foreign" words (think "hottodogu" which is "hot dog" in japanese). All three are used commonly, often in the same texts.

No, but I know about them. Basically, Japanese novels can contain words that are pretty obscure, and aren't written in the phonetic mode - so you need a dictionary or a very good education on hand to read properly. Light novels are sort of like the simple English wikipedia, to an extent - though not as much. Sort of like saying, "You're wrong" instead of "Your reasoning is fallacious"

In Japanese, a light novel is specifically written with only common words and characters, and often features manga-style illustration. Very often, they are either adapted from anime or manga, or the other way around.

As far as we can tell, all magical Investiture stems from Shards or Adonalsium Investing a Shardworld, or a Splinter doing the same. This begs the question, what's in it for them? Investiture implies that a return on the Investment will come eventually, and the peculiar mechanisms of Investiture focused through a Shardworld seem to be almost deletorius to the Shard. Why, then, do they Invest? One possibility is quite simply the desire to play God. Who wouldn't with that much power? My other thought is that it benefits the Shard in some way. That the Investiture of their Shard is somehow anchored and amplified, even fortified by Investing. Perhaps you lose some direct power, but it makes defenseman and perception easier somehow. Thoughts?
