  1. Thunk! Hellscythe staggered off of Aralis's porch and held a hand to the side of her head, where the walking stick had struck her. Aralis swung at her again, tripped and toppled back into his chair. "You defend this bugger who is one of the people responsible for the lack of peace in this town, for riling up all these crowds, and then accuse me for calling you out beforehand? Get off my porch!"
  2. "Kassien!" Aralis said, "You should speak up a bit more. You just now stopped pointing your finger at me, but I never heard you in the first place. Show some respect for your elders, or in fifty years you might find yourself on the wrong end of a noose!"
  3. "So he hasn't spoken up a whit, and your belly tells you that he must be innocent..." Aralis shook his head slowly. "That isn't how this works. By the Lord Ruler, you rile up a crowd and claim that Koloss are attacking our city, but then all you can say is that this Lopen fellow is not one of these supposed Spiked. I say we should lynch you today, and maybe tomorrow we will get more sense out of this crowd..." Aralis is still grouchy. But anyways, Hellscythe, that seems like a suspicious move to me. I mean, Lopen hasn't posted, so you might retract because inactives might just be inactive the first cycle or so of this game, and we weren't going to hear from him. But there is no reason to come out and say that he is innocent. I know that I recently played a game of Resistance and I spotted a Government player when he defended a player he knew to be good for little reason. So, yeah, I actually feel fairly confident about this cycle one vote as compared to others that I have made.
  4. Aralis sat on his porch, staring at the commotion in the village square. Or at least, the attempt at commotion. By all rights proper skaa should be at home and abed this time of night. All he could make out were some smudges of light through the mist and a few raised voices, but that was far more activity than what was usual before this absurd rumors of Koloss and Spiked. Sighing to himself, Aralis slowly eased himself out of his chair and grabbed his walking stick. If people were determined to stop him from sulking in silence, then by all means he would make sure that the matter was dealt with as quickly as possible. "Where are the rest of you fellows? Half the village makes a big fuss about spiked the other day, and then only a couple actually make a big deal about it. By the ash! You better decide whether you want to disturb me or not, because once I'm stirred up, there is no sitting back down, no sir! Some of you young fellows might find yourself waking up with a headache in the morning if you don't figure this out right quick." He hefted his cane suggestively, then limped back to sit in his chair and get a little sleep.
  5. Well, that means that we either had 4 cooks originally, or that Transformation was used. I personally suspect transformation, because I think that there are/were 3 cooks, one for each team (and we have never seen 4 poisoning attempts in one cycle, although that is a bit circumstantial). Also, it appears my vote was changed, because it was definitely on Feligon before. I am going to leave my vote there for this cycle, since I find it suspicious he has been active in Pms but not the thread. Also, I am going to be offline until Wednesday, so good luck guys. Don't eat the soup! (or do, if you're a diagramist)
  6. You know, this game isn't really that different from party style Mafia, where you don't learn the identity of people that you kill. Sure, we have the scholars, but that isn't something that we can rely on, as we are seeing. I know that this is pretty hypocritical coming from me right now, but we can't afford to let people be silent during the lynch. We have to go for people, and we have to force the eliminator team to speak up. I'll put a second poke on Feligon so that there is a bit more force behind the first vote, and because honestly I am pretty far behind in this game.
  7. Well, I have a couple comments right now. Adavantos, you said you thought that the Ghostbloods have 2 cooks, because both people that were attacked were Sons of Honor. I'm a bit curious how you know that both people attacked were the Sons of Honor, and likewise, how the Ghostbloods would have been coordinated enough to know who is aligned with which team. Because I think we have established that Mailliw's list is bogus, for the most part. Looking back, Mailliw kind of claims to be a Son, trying to reveal Thaidakar, but we don't hear about Arraenae definitively, and Mailliw could be trolling some more. So I don't think we can really say for sure who is on which faction. I also think that for the most part, the people that were protected make sense, but that kind of depends on role distributions. If we have 4 or more protection abilities, then it would be balanced for the eliminators to get a kill role in addition to their regular kill. So that would result in enough protection that at least one person might think of saving Venture. I would say that it is most likely that he was just protecting himself, but we can't do that this game. (potentially another factor that could lead to the village having a large number of protection roles) And a vote... Venture Mistborn. A lot of people want to call him out, but aren't actually placing votes. I am a bit curious to hear his opinion, and I would also like to discourage the type of inactivity that he is know for. And I'm a bit short on time and he and Mailliw are the only people really sticking out to me.
  8. Well, wow. There is a lot of stuff going on, and maybe I should have posted earlier. The thing that stands out to me the most is Mailliw. Again, I am a bit low on time, but his fake position claim made me feel pretty uncomfortable. Also, Ada, blue text is specifically reserved for OOG (out of game) discussion. My post about a lack of focus was relevant to the game, and thus I put it in black text. I think that IRL circumstances are something that it is not cool to be dishonest about in these sorts of games, and I will always be perfectly honest about IRL excuses.
  9. The thing is, the part of the speech Hadrian didn't get to was an announcement that all parents of Half-breeds would be executed... And that is even the part I put first in my RP. I guess the Inquisitors weren't around to hear that bit . Just curious, what sort of bad things happened to people getting rebelled on? As in, was it worth me getting executed to avoid that sort of thing?
  10. Well, I am personally of the opinion that queensteph hasn't done anything suspicious really the entire game, and I already mentioned that I am extremely uncomfortable with killing people solely based on our guesses of a role distribution. So I don't really see why all these people want steph scanned, and why you think she is evil, phatt. I don't really have time to say anything else right now though, so be back tomorrow probably. Also, we could mistborn someone that we are suspicious of that has been cleared by the Kandra, if people want that sort of confirmation.
  11. Well Lopen, I am PM less. And you said you probably won't see this, so that is fine. I also would like to clarify the thing about my vote this cycle, I still am going to put thought into it. Just not last night I wasn't. Haha, one problem with killing the Kandra is we don't exactly know who they are. I have a small suspicion, and some people might have figured it out I guess. Actually, if the person I suspect to be Kandra actually is, then it is very suspicious that they aren't already dead. Anyway, I suppose that is why Ada asked, is because if the Kandra is revealed before we agree to kill it then it becomes useless. I'm curious why Ada used quotes one the Kandra, were you implying that they might actually not be a Kandra or just that they might not be loyal? Hasn't the HI scanned them to check that? I could vote for Kipper, but it would be harder to lynch him to to his feruchemistyness. The main reasoning behind that for me would be to clear myself in Clanky's eyes, though. Also, TBH, I didn't know BB already had a vote on him cycle 1. And then I was offline for the rest of the cycle because life is life. Okay, I am going to vote now, and then I will have a few hours later to come back and justify it, I hope. So Queensteph. Edit: That was a bad vote. I went back through the thread and have basically no suspicion of steph... Guess I'll try again later. Edit 2: So that I actually place a vote even if I get busy later, Kipper. Sure steph played the newbie card, but if you go back trhough the thread I really saw nothing suspicious about her. That seems to me like an easy way to place a vote without too much analysis (which may have been what you were looking for, I don't know) Edit 3: VOTE PEOPLE!!! Even if it is on me, VOTE!
  12. Ok Phatt, yeah I just read the rules and you are right about that one. I do find it interesting that the write up indicated that the traitors were lazy, but it is very possible that was just for flavor. So I guess looking at inactive players isn't really a solid strategy, although that possibility still exists. Bother. We need a real lynch and need some votes to be placed soon, but it is past my self imposed bedtime... I'm leaning a bit towards following Kipper's vote, but we have enough info from the last several cycles that We should all be able to contribute more than we currently are, myself included. Also, I am not a fan of basing the lynch solely off of role distributions (which we haven't done, but some people seem to be considering that sort of thing). I think a lot of eliminator teams could be balance by exploiting this sort of meta-gaming, and we should only look at that sort of thing once we have actions that indicate the player is suspicious aside from their role.
  13. The way that Alfa is soft-confirmed is that he reported to have scanned STINK to be good, and we killed STINK so we confirmed that Alfa wass telling the truth about that. So basically we failed to catch him in a lie. That is why I called it a soft-confirm. I don't know about Kipper really. Part of that is there isn't really a result from his lynch that benefits me personally; if he is good then we killed a villager, and if he is bad then Cranky is going to turn on me right away (and be fairly justified). But I guess killing one innocent versus killing a traitor and an innocent is a decent trade. I just don't have a strong suspicion there, so I probably won't vote on Kipper. I am probably going to look at people that were inactive toward the end of last night cycle when I actually place my vote, since as I mentioned I believe that the eliminators forgot to place a kill order and likely were not online during that time period as a result.
  14. I have been calling for the Mistborn to kill inactives the whole game, so you can take that however you want. Actually, Wyrm was an eliminator when he started the Contribution Crusade, and he was upset by the end of that game at having an inactive teammate. But his idea struck a lot of people, me included, as just making the game more fun. Not to mention, when you kill an inactive then some person, traitor or village, has the opportunity to give everyone more information. I guess, but at least one thing I would like to mention is that I don't agree with all of your ideas. I mentioned that I don't think the role distribution you gave really fits what I am used to, and I made a strong case for why I didn't see the Kandra vote between you and BB the same way as you did. And I started the lynch on PK (Feels weird to use this as a defense) Dangit, I had something I wanted to say that was important, but my doormmates distracted me and I forgot. Maybe it will come back later
  15. That's how these things tend to go with me, I'm afraid. I rarely get taken out by the eliminators, I just survive till fairly late in the game and then get targeted all of a sudden. I wish everyone else was as vocal as you are in saying who they suspect, though. Are you suspicious of me since I haven't roleclaimed to anyone? Also, yeah, I'm not really sure what I have done to earn suspicion except for giving honest opinions that occasionally disagree with everyone else. But we'll see what everyone else has to say. Cranky seemed to have some suspicion of me as well. I think that the writeup would distinguish between a voidbringer's protection and no kill getting sent in at all. To consider what happened with the kill last night, there are really 4 options: 1) The eliminators were inactive and forgot to kill 2) The eliminators were active and forgot to kill 3) The eliminators were inactive and didn't want to kill 4) The eliminators were active and didn't want to kill I would say that 2 is really unlikely. So that means that the eliminators either intentionally sent in no kill, or that they were inactive. I mentioned one reason to send in no kill; to draw suspicion onto inactive players. The problem with this is that while it might redirect the lynch for a single turn, it doesn't really accomplish much because the eliminators kind of have to kill people to win, so when the next kill comes through it shows who was really inactive and who was just ploying. Off the top of my head I can only think of a couple other things: Maybe only a single eliminator was active but he got roleblocked. I would have to check and see if Ada said anything about good team Biochromancers, but we might want to know who got blocked if there are any The last thing doesn't really make sense, but it is possible that all of the people that the traitors wanted to kill were in some way connected to someone on their own team, so they didn't use the kill to avoid passing suspicion to one of their teammates. But I think that this is pretty unlikely, since there are lots of people left in this game still. Edit: Cow has not been online since November 11, so he couldn't have sent in the kill orders as far as I know, unless there is a way to do that through email or something. But that was a good point to bring up, Arraenae.
  16. Good job mistborn! Hopefully just 3 traitors to go! And it looks like we might be able to find one or more of them by looking at more inactive people. I can't really think of a strategic reason for them to avoid killing somebody, since if it was a ploy all that would result are dead inactive players, who weren't being super helpful to the village in the first place.
  17. I would say that, aside from having a chance to kill an eliminator, taking out an inactive player is useful for figuring out role distributions. For example, if we mistborn Cow tonight and he turns out to be mistborn then we have an explanation for why there was only a single night with two mistborn kills. And it discourages that sort of inactivity in future games, I would say.
  18. Y'know, this is something that Adavantos would say, but I would like everyone that sees this to post their Kandra and Mistborn votes. (Pink is way easier to see than purple) I'll try and update a tally a bit, but this is really like the lynch vote. Thanksgiving is over, and there isn't any more excuse to avoid posting. We had around 25% participation last vote, so lets see if we can at least double that. The people with roles don't have to follow these suggestions, but that doesn't mean that they don't have real weight behind them; there is potential here for us to gather information still. Vote Tally Kandra: Kipper (2): Araris, Arraenae Vote Tally Mistborn: Cow (1): Araris Kipper(0): Arraenae So lets get talking people! Edit: Missed one (kind of)
  19. So why don't we go ahead and scan Kipper tonight. That way we don't clear out all the feruchemists looking for a traitor. (although they aren't super helpful unless the game runs long and the team counts are too close for comfort) I'm not too sure what I think about the lynch. What Kipper did makes sense coming from either team since he could ensure that a lynch actually happened. But only 5 people voted... There are 8 people on the list Ada gave us, just for starters. All I did was recognize that PK was someone that had caught my attention earlier and that he fit into the suspected role distribution. Part of this is definitely from Thanksgiving being now, I know that I had no internet access from this morning until now. But in 19 people we should have had at least ~10 votes in my opinion. But really people, you could have voted for someone on Ada's list, or if you felt brave you could pick somebody not on the list. And once again I'm going to say coinshot Cow, since he is inactive (and happens to be on that list I keep mentioning)
