Mistrunner

I try to develop all my characters to the point where they sort of take up residence in my head. This can lead to problems. Sometimes I can't get the characters in my head to pipe down. Aura's constantly doing experiments in her lab (and I don't know where she found matches, because I definitely didn't give her any- she set fire to her own roof once); the princess assassins (the name is only slightly misleading) are always doing sleepovers where they watch either rom-coms or stuff like Lord of the Rings; Someday (can anyone come up with a suitable nickname for him? he hates his name with a passion and yells at me whenever I refer to him by it) is always running around bothering people and aggrivating Aura, who will chase him around with equipment she can whack him with; Cela's baking or reading or jogging or something (she's usually calmer than the rest); Blaze mostly tries to figure out his life, chats, or works out as well as he can with one leg; Ali runs around corners doing fancy gymnastic stuff and smirking- my brain is too crowded.

Happy new year! (Where did 2015 go... Naw, it ain't 2016 yet, everyone's just joshin'...) Celebrate! Being a Mormon, instead of champagne we had sparkling cider that was 75¢ at the commissary. Oh yeah.

It's up now. Sorry for the delay. I've always found dialogue fun to write, and it comes pretty easily if my characters work. It's descriptions and all that that kill me.

The ways in which they are insane, however, are rather different. Puns! Why did I not think of adding puns? This idea, it is genius. I'm not actually sure or the narrator's gender either, though I've also started thinking she's a woman. Thanks! I think I will be writing more of this- of course, that's if I can think if a suitable plot to go on.

The idea that a woman can only be strong and independent and whatnot if she doesn't want to have kids/get married. Seriously, what's up with that? It's amazing how much backlash you can get for saying you want to be a mom. It's completely ridiculous.

Just rewatched Return of the King! A few thoughts: • Sam is amazing and does not get nearly as much credit as he deserves • Eowyn is basically the definition of Strong Female Character (badly characterized YA novel authors, take note) • That soundtrack (including Edge of Night) • The bromances are strong with these ones That is all. I went ice skating today!

Aaaaand after the lengthy power outage caused by an ice/snowstorm and then a trip to OKC, I'm back on the Shard! I have a problem. I thought it was fairly nice out- if a wee bit chilly, but not quite enough to wear a jacket- and then my dad told me it was 31 degrees. I have a problem.
