  1. i kind of doubt it purely because of the fact that on the back cover of WoK it says that one of the 4 we're watching is the champion of Odium. Idk the exact words but im sure a bunch of people do. But basically it has to be either Shallan, Kaladin, Szeth, or Dalinar. My moneys on Kaladin because of how unexpected it would be lol.
  2. Got Dustbringer. Seems accurate. Plus dustbringers just clean house so thats cool too lol
  3. Honestly, with the amount of detail and crazy-book-concept-plot-things and how he ties things togethor i think we canlet him slip by on this one. Just saying
  4. The quote very clearly states that he was unable to record his methods, so of course Shallan wouldnt have commented on it as there wasnt anything mentioning that, only that he came up with a different method to defeat the Voidbringers.
  5. I've always thought that the Heralds had the eye-color of the Order they Patron. I dont really have a good reason for this other than that, to me atleast, it makes sense. Its possible that their innate Investiture changed their original eye color to the color of their Order, but i dont really have or need much justification for believing this. EDIT: when i say "innate Investiture" i hope you know i mean the Investiture that Honor or the Oathpact or whatever the Damnation it was granted them
  6. I might be wrong but im pretty sure theyre always emeralds
  7. Maybe thats why he regressed! The sun gave him serious skin cancer, which made him revert to his previous fear of the sun after all the tanning was over!
  8. All the Eshonai PoV's we have after she has the Voispren bond very clearly show how unwilling she is and we have her being horrified about wat has happened, being unable to speak her thoughts, and a complete lack of control of herself. I would provide quotes but my copy of WoR was stolen (which I'm incredibly angry about because it was one of the few books i bought the first day it came out ) Also, i really hope they can co-exist because thats what im looking forward to seeing, whether they can or not.
  9. This isnt necessarily true. Probably yes, but not a guarantee. You can access more than one magic system without losing the other, we've seen it multiple times, most prominently with Hoid. All Eshonai must do is attract a Spren that can form a Nahel bond. While i would agree that this is unlikely to happen while she is a Voidbringer, i still think it is a possibility until i am proven wrong. Being a Voidbringer does not mean u cannot adhere to the principals and Oaths of a KR (im already imagining all the disagreements and skoffs) We know that the Voidspren alter the mind and perception, actually they kind of take over all the bodies functions now that i think about it. In Eshonai's PoV we see that she is trapped in her mind, almost like a bi-stander in her own mind. Spren are cognitive aspects and it makes sense to me that they can seek out potential bond-mates in the cognitive realm. Seeing a person, or Parshendi, of the right mind set would be attractive to them and they may attempt to bond regardless of a pre-established bond with a Voidspren. Honestly, i can see no better idea than to have Eshonai be a Parshendi that becomes a Radiant. We already have seen some PoV from her so we're a little bit familiar, and it would let us have an in depth look at the mental combat that might go inside, whether the Voidspren wins or the Radiantspren or if this somehow allows Eshonai to gain control of herself once more. Any way it goes i think it would be really interesting. Also this thread has been a great read so far. I think i am now convinced that Adolin would make a great Edgedancer. The arguement against him being one is incredibly weak in my opinion and so im going to put in my 2 cents about that one (that expression is just for all of your benefit though because nothing i say is EVER worth less than a dollar) Just because we have an Lift as an ED already doesnt mean that we cant have another where that role will be developed. We dont even have confirmation that she'll be a main character, its just implied. All we KNOW is that a) her back-story will appear in the second arc b ) she's an ED and c) that Brandon has said we will she more of her (i like everyone else am assuming this means more than just her back-story) In no way does any of that mean she will be how/who we learn about ED from. Im not even necessarily saying it will be Adolin, though at this point i find it likely, just that we cant be sure it will be her. Besides, she's pretty damnation far from where the main story is taking place right now and to our knowledge has no reason to go there at the moment. So to have a lot of PoV from her would be cool cause i think she's an awesome character (heh awesome ) but it wouldnt really be all that relatable to whats going on at this point. Sorry for the long rambling post, but im not going to feel too bad as alot of that has already gone on.
  10. Also in one scene the mist that Adolins blade forms in is in the shape of vines (think wyndle) Idk who noticed that but awesome catch btw. And they asked about it in a WoB and his answer was mischievous.
  11. Unless... you have the ability to see events that have already occurred! proof of Epics in Modern society!
  12. Its the Epic code. If someone already has your name u must have a battle to the death.
  13. Nightwielder fears the sun, but anyone who knows his true identity should also know that he already conquered his fear. Nightwielder is Howie, from the Benchwarmers. Its so obvious i dont know how the Reckoners didnt realize! We've seen Howie's struggle with the sun, yet we've also seen him openly declare that the sun is not a monster! Its just so saddening to me that after all that he reverted back to his previous fear of the sun. Now he wages open combat with his long time foe, daylight.
  14. He defnitiley needs a power source, but only while in use (which in Warbreaker is described as being out of his sheath) also in Warbreaker, and i dont remember the exact quote, it says something along the lines of he only makes those un-worthy or corrupt at heart ill. The investiture he eats is what fuels his some of his abilities, like when he turned walls into nothing on Vashirs Mad Dash of Murder. Also, we know the black smoke has something to do with him being broken what i ahve now decided this means is he is corrupting all the investiture he takes in because something happened when he was crafted that broke him. So while channeling Endowments investiture he turned breathes into the black smoke, he now channels Stormlight and turns it into black smoke.
  15. I get that, but its not really just the fact that he rejected his powers, its that he did the thing you have to do to gain conrtol of them, was given the powers, and now doesnt have them.
  16. i feel like an idiot, but i cant figure out how to edit the title EDIT: Nevermind i figured it out
  17. Ok, so we know that to use your Epic powers without being a power crazed evil badass you just have to conquer your fears. We saw Megan do it, but right when Calamity decided to give David powers, David conquered his fears. So shouldnt he have got his powers just without being corrupted? Seems like he really got screwed on this one. Thats just my opinion, but I also have a theory that he now does have Epic powers just doesnt know it yet, which would be awesome and i hope is right cause David would be a supa dupa cool Epic.
  18. Well the Chasmfiend exoskeleton is definitely part of their body because in WoK, in the hunt scene i think, it was mentioned that they could only cut through to get the Gemheart after they killed it
  19. Exactly! thats my entire point, not the Edgedancer thing though that could be too. It was morally right, which is what the Windrunners are all about! I dont see Adolin ever being a Skybreaker because of the illegal act, but i see him as a Windrunner all day. Hes a warrior, he protects, he can be a great leader if he steps up to the plate (haha Shardplate), and he has great moral integrity. Thats Windrunner material imo, but feel free to disagree.
  20. *Emphasis mine Well we do have a WoB (i never actually look for the quotes but i know ive seen it. cause im lazy) That "when we see Skybreakers using their Gravitation surge it will be very similar to what we've seen from Windrunners" obviously thats not exact, but it makes me think that they can fly (fall) just like a Windrunner.
  21. I dont see how killing Sadeas wasnt the right thing to do. Everything that Sadeas did helped undermine the Alethi society in some way, small or large. He tried to kill Dalinar, someone who as far as im concerned is going to be needed big time in the up coming fight (im not saying he will actually be fighting just that he will play a big role) His crimes are enough to make his death right and a necessity. It wasnt even cold-blooded murder. Adolin may not have not the right thing for the right reason, but it was definitely the righ thing to do none the less.
  22. Honestly i have Adolin pinned as another Windrunner, whenever more Honorspren decide to Bond. Bescause of your points. He does what is JUST what is RIGHT, not what is lawful. This is really how Windrunners operate.
  23. I didnt read th entire thread, so if this was already mentioned then my bad. But i remember in one of Dalinars earlier visions the female KR said something about one nation being made to wage war so the others didnt have to. So, if thats the idea, then it isnt valid anymore when other nations are waging war. Thus, their original point of existence is no longer being achieved. Also, theyre no longer fighting Voidbringers.
  24. this is just my opinion. Obviously Dalinar will not have a Shardblade, but I dont consider any of the characters thus far to be KR. I see that I came off in a way that seems close minded or wrong to some people, but its just how I see things.
