I too would make a terrible rithmatist, my drawing skills are dismal. I think I would have to go with giant fightin clockwork robits. They might not be fastest chalklings ever, but they would pack one heck of a punch! p.s.: and yes that is exactly how I would spell it too.

I don't think that this is the case. When Eshoni first sees the spen in the gem she thinks about how they learned to capture spen in this way from the humans. She also thinks about how when you entered a storm(before learning how to capture spren) for the change you had to have the right mind set to attract the right spren. Even if you did everyhing right, you might end up with a different form then the one you wanted or not change at all.

Wracking my brain for new puns has brought me to my Wit's end! I wasn't sure if the above phrase was supposed to be spelled wracking or racking so I looked it up and I came up with the following and I just couldn't decided which to use, but as pointed out earlier, the cosmere puns seem to be spreading! XD "The relationship between the forms rack and wrack is complicated," and the spellings are sometimes interchangeable (Oxford A-Z of English Usage, 2013). As a verb, rack means to torture or cause great suffering. The verb wrack means to wreck or cause the Ruin of something. The noun rack means a frame, an instrument of torture, or a state of intense anguish. The noun wrack means destruction or wreckage. Idiomatically, we may rack the billiard balls, rack up points, and roast a rack of lamb. But when it comes to nerve-(w)racking experiences or (w)racking our brains, most writers, dictionaries, and usage guides admit to being (w)racked with uncertainty.

I thought this thread was supposed to be where we can post bad puns, but I've posted a couple that have apparently been sooo bad as to garner some down votes, it seems that I'm stuck between a Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor and a hard place when wanting to post here. ;-) Edit: spelling.

Thank you. That saves me some research time. I have pretty much read everything that Brandon has written (and he is by far my favorite writer), but am somewhat new to the cosmere research. I had noticed things like Hoid world hopping, the 17th Shard members, and some other small things but now I want to know all the little tidbits that go into all of his cosmere books.

That's what I thought, it's just that some of them look as though they might be female, and no I am not sexist, I just thought I remembered that they were all kings before they became Heralds, so I was just confused.

So I have the Knights Radiant chart as my wallpaper and I was looking at it this morning as my computer booted up, and I had a thought but am not good enough with computers to follow through with it. Has anyone tried to match up the chart with the Rose compass on the map of Roshar? It seems like the odd placement of the rose lines might match up with the center of the chart. Also do we know who the pictures are of that are on the border of that chart? I am kind of new to the site and haven't had the chance to research everything I want to yet.
