  1. Well yeah, not knowing his full powers we know he at least can hold a gold charge, and knowing that we know that he could heal any damage to himself. Gold heals you spiritually, so it could heal shardblade wounds. I'm sure that's not the real reason he can't be killed, but that's just using one of his powers we know he has.
  2. So Wez, Hemalurgy is for you? Or do you think you'd just try to get leresium, bond a spren, buy breaths, etc?
  3. Ok, we know Kaladin has healed a shardblade wound and that you could, it just takes a lot more stormlight. Szeth has said in the first time we see him, that he would not be able to heal if he was cut with the shardblade. Is this because he just didn't have enough stormlight from the lights in the hallways? When he thought about not being able to heal was it more of a "right now" and not "shardblade wounds can't be healed"
  4. But if he was Adonalsium that still could work, couldn't it? Like if Ati became a person again, you could still say that worlds have been touched by ruin, while talking to Ati. While I think this makes it more likely that Hoid and the dragon helped shatter Adonalsium, I don't think this line rules it out. Hell, it could even be both, Adonalsium/hoid wanting to be more of a person instead of a god, him and the dragon split his power up, it spreads, him and the dragon realize that didn't go as planned. But yeah, assuming he didn't split on purpose, if it is caused by the opposing force and Hoid and the dragon sent the 16 to different planets to not let the opposing force get the powers of Adonalsium, that could work too. Those are like all hypothetical reasons why it might work, not necessarily what I think they might be.
  5. Ok, so this is probably really far out there, but I wouldn't be surprised if this has come up in here before. Has the possibility of Hoid being Adonalsium been brought up? This would explain why he now does not have a shard and really isn't trying to get one but is trying to go around doing big things anyway. I had a specific thing in Words of Radiance that sparked this question but I dont remember what that was right now. But in general it seems somewhat possible even though it isn't likely, and I wouldn't doubt if people have already proven it is a valid theory or proven it is 99.99% likely to be false But yeah, my idea is he was Adonalsium, he was "shattered" and all that was left was a man with sDNA able to use each magic type, and the shards of his power that others took. And lets be real, if you were Adonalsium, you wouldn't want to take a shard either, you'd either want to get your full power back or try and work something else out, you wouldn't want to just take one facet of yourself and be changed.
  6. Hemalurgy fracks with your sDNA, so yeah, it could give you the ability to do both.
  7. If it's a full cosmere series, I think it would have to be the way American Horror Story does it's seasons. Season 1 be about Mistborn, Season 2 about WoK, etc. Maybe season 1 be Warbreaker or something smaller that you could do in less than 12 episodes, then mistborn being a full 24 episode season. You could do 3 books and probably the AoL series in probably like 16-20 episodes give or take.
  8. yeah, reminds me of a certain titan who pissed off Zeus. Though people said that TLR could survive decapitation, if that's actually true, cut off my head, let me regrow my body, and use the stuff in the other body. But i'd never attempt that just in case it's an exaggeration of him. lol
  9. yeah, that is literally what i just said. you'd have to not heal during the whole thing. Giving blood is the best plan.
  10. I think you would have to specifically not heal for long enough for them to take out the organ, which would suck. I'd also say things that you can't live with out you wouldn't be able to donate, due to having to have it completely out b4 you could heal it, otherwise you would just heal what they do and they couldn't take it. This is also why I mentioned passing out from what they do/thepain That's also why I said, straight up, blood and another things like that.
  11. Yeah, I thought of that, if I could trust people enough to cut me opened and take stuff with out me passing out or them trying to capture me, I'd totally give loads of stuff, but if not, just lots of blood and blood type stuff (plasma, and other things like that)
  12. Well "haha, you won't learn anything" isn't that helpful for me if they capture me and I'm no longer free. If I was a double gold, I'd try and become wolverine though. haha
  13. But if I could go full Allomancy and full Feruchemy, I'd get a suit of different metals made and me iron man. Best Ironman Cosplay ever, I could actually fly. Yes, that suit would probably only be for cosplay, since there would be more effective storage, but still, would be fun. haha. I'd actually end up storing lots of metal minds inside me though. Having full both means super immortality (age and health) which is really the most important, and then having the other ones just to make sure you can't be trapped. I wouldn't really attempt to piss people off, so it would really just be about making sure the government doesn't decide they want to dissect me.
  14. The thing with being double gold is, you don't have to be a supervillain. Like just being immortal is good enough, if you don't properly piss people off to the point that they realize you are immortal and try and catch you, you're fine. Question, I'm assuming that gold would include healing from poisons and stuff, so people can't just tranq you, right? I'd be most worried about someone noticing that I heal like that, telling the government, and then them trying to capture me and experiment on me.
  15. I think I'm willing to say, if I was as good as an artist as some people, I'd totally do it. Force fields are pretty nice. Then if you're able to draw like really detailed chalklings, obviously this includes the rune to make them effect 3d things, you could have them bring things to you, move things for you, create power by cranking a wheel for you, and if you're a psycho, kill for you. If you're the only Rithmatist in our world, you don't need to know how to dule, just how to draw really well, make a circle, draw straight lines, and maybe the one that hits people. And maybe the one to damper sound if you want. But not needing to know the math side of it makes it pretty nice.
  16. So, is it agreed that no one picks Rithmatics or what ever the Alchetraz books' magic system is? Is it agreed that the Cosmere magics are his best ones that we'd want? being able to make chalk creatures that could effect the would could be pretty cool.
  17. I really appreciated that other adaptation too!
  18. Hahaha, that's great. If people don't early on try to kill you for being a vampire and stealing their life force after a show, I could see it totally working. I could see people being upset that after your show they fall into depression. If like every person that goes to your show all of a sudden falls into depression, it might make people notice you're a vampire.
  19. you are amazing. Also, if you have reddit, you should post this in the mistborn subreddit.
  20. So, we have a what would you do with X power topics and what power would you want topics, what would you do if you could pick any of the powers from Brandon's books to use. (Doesn't have to be cosmere magics). This is assuming that all of the magic systems will work on earth, but there is no world hopping (other than like literally flying to another planet or something). This assumes that metal on this planet will work, having 1 breath is equal to what all of us have now so you have a way of getting breaths, leaving things outside during a storm could gather stormlight, etc. This is also assuming that no one else has powers, so assume if you're going around making drabs, you're the only person doing this.
  21. Well, BS says that Hemo is inherently bad. So the act of making a kandra, ripping someone's spirit web apart, is inherently bad, whether they would be killed or would die anyway. If we're ignoring the problems with Hemo, I'd just go with being a Marsh-inquisitor. He pretty much has the same powers TLR had (but weaker)
  22. Lol, that shows what I know. I always thought the "It's written to a dragon" was a joke by Brandon based on him liking them. haha.
  23. Also, do we know for a fact that all of the original shards are from the same planet? I kind of just assume that's canon, but I dont actually know if that's just what we all accept or if it actually is 100% canon that they are all from that planet (I forget the name of the planet, but the you know the one I mean)
  24. Cool, it sounds like it could be a cool book. but yeah, most Mars thoughts I have is using Mars to learn how to do things in better places. I feel Venus wouldn't be as much of a good learning spot. Mars is more of an means to an end, Venus is the end itself. That's why most good plans for a colony are usually out of the solarsystem.
