Jack Mckinney 'Okay." Jack nods. Now what do I have memorized? blinding shot (magic) fire blast (magic) wide shot (tech) earth shock-wave (magic) coldfire (magic) fireball (magic) steel push (magic) Hmm, one bright-steel pistol, and a hand bombard should work. Oh and an airgun, for the airbender form. Judging from the displayed prices, those should cost just enough that I will have only enough for a dagger. "Do you have a bright-steel pistol, hand bombard, and airgun pistol? If not, how long would it take for you to make them?"

Ambrosius Ambro narrows his eyes, overly friendly people seem to be swarming as of late. "Hello, yourself. Why do you wish to know?" The eye? Does it mean Geass? But, what then, is the stone? How do I use this? There are too many questions, I must ponder this. I could tell Jay and Eero, but not River, definitely not River. Jack Mckinney Well this fellow seems to have what I need. "Excuse me Sir" Jack displays a wide smile as the man turns. "What wares do you sell? I am looking to purchase a few armaments."

Enhances concentration. Obtained at age 6. Autonomous Benign Tumor, (detachable, non-sentient). A tiny bat-like tumor that grows on Arron's back that can detach. Arron can manipulate it using Leyht. It has a single eye and a primitive brain that can store up to 5 minutes of information. Obtained at age 18. About 4 Inches at its widest point. Accelerated healing gland, (Subdermal, forehead). Upon agitation by Leyht, this gland releases chemicals that cause Arron to heal at an extremely accelerated rate. Obtained at age 18. Auxiliary Heart, (Temporary, usually inactive, under right lung). Upon receiving damage to the primary heart, the Auxiliary Heart activates. This extra heart lasts for up to 1 hour, giving Arron enough time to activate his Accelerated healing gland. Using this heart puts a lot of strain on Arron's body, not only does he have trouble breathing, using the heart causes it to tear, preventing the auxiliary heart to only be able to be used once per month. (for a better description contact me.) Obtained at age 18. Cursed: Mutatio Drawback -Nature: The mutations on Arron's body are unstable, and there is always a risk of massive rejection between parts, or spontaneous mutation in the mutations. -effect: If Arron overchannels, gets really sick, or uses accelerated healing gland to often, his Mutatios may mutate or get rejected by his body. His wardrobe is complicated, with a lot of green. He wears a deep green cloak with intricate silver designs all the time, even inside. A belt of several knives rings his waist. Height and weight is indeterminate. Special Skills: Literacy, unarmed combat, sword dancing, knife fighting, physik, acting and some alchemy. Strengths: A capable fighter. learned and well off. A good actor. Weaknesses: Not all that social, his upbringing left him with strange quirks and mannerisms. Afraid of deep water. Physically weak. Personality: Witty and at times sarcastic. Arron dislikes inhuman beings. He doesn't consider his Mutatios inhuman as his children will be born normal Xaneth. He likes his work as a Cleaner, as well as his cover work as a Sword Dancer. History: At the age of five, Arron was initiated as a member of the Oblivion Society, a group that seeks to eliminate demons and monsters, both of the inhuman and human kind. At the age of six, he received his first body modifications, three Mutatios that where selected by his father. His father was the Director of the local Cabal chapter-house and the reason for Arron's membership into the society. Arron was given to a local Cleaner by the name of Aptiel as an apprentice at the age of eight. For nine years Arron worked as an apprentice for Aptiel, until he was given his Master title. At that time he began to take jobs from the Cabal and rising in the Society hierarchy. One year later, he earned another set of Mutatios, three of them. It was also at this time he developed the cover-work of Sword Dancing for traveling fairs and circuses. Arron worked independently for many years, receiving only the occasional message from the Cabal testing to see if he was still alive. During this time, he made many kills, and founded a new chapter-house, which now provides him with financial support. Recently, Arron received a different kind of message, one familiar to him and hidden within a difficult cipher. The message was simple. Travel with the Wondrous Wagons to the town of Mawsback. Investigate the Phantom. Eliminate it if necessary.

Jack Mckinney Jack had been watching the whole match from his position on the floor. Jack smiles, "just as I thought." Still need those supplies, I should get those quickly before the next match starts. He walks to the market area, looking for an arms-merchant selling guns.

Ambrosius Ambro felt..uncertain. What was that she just said, and why do I feel so unusual. Ambro reluctantly shifts back to baseline, still pumped up on adrenaline. Is this an illusion? is that why I feel off? Ambro looks up to see a figure approaching.
-
I tried to tell myself that it was a trap, but the temptation was to great. I lost the game. Also, I have just encountered a troll. (not you som1else)
-
well then, thats good to know. Ambro is an experimental character anyway, he has no purpose for existing, so I really wouldn't be sorry if his opponent takes advantage of his shifting and kills Ambro. Jack, however.
-
I was going by the assumption that the players had to wait for their opponent to shift, and their opponent would extend them the same courtesy. Obviously, this wouldn't hold in a true battle but these tournaments seem to be more of an estimation of skill and ingenuity than anything else. Of course you could attack your opponent as they shift, but then they will attack you as you shift.
-
She just won't give up! I'm kinda running out of tricks here. I do want to know, however, are you going to put up the formspheres the opponents are using?
-
Ambrosius I hate masks! They're so inconvenient! Ambro shifts back to atium. and I supremely hate repeating tricks! "Quam praesumo vos! Spero ut pulex of mille elk sileo in vestri genitor! Partis quod cruor quod cinis cineris! Exuro vos!" Ambro begins yelling in another language. Charging forward while burning atium, Ambro draws the shockstick. Lets see if the armor is electric resistant.

A Tale of Investigations, Intrigue, and Irritating Princes

What is that!? Its voice is so...irritating. Krh'rhl is inwardly wincing, as the creature enters the room. The creatures dialect made it hard for Krh'rhl to understand what it was saying, though it clearly knew Kierra. Just as long as it doesn't try to speak to much. -

"Interesting." Krh'rhl mulls over the problem, "I can't see how those automata could be the cause of the problem. What form do automata take anyway, could the dead Ohnryek have been a golem?" Krh'rhl thinks hard. This is new information for me. I can't tell yet what the connection between my problem and theirs is yet. While I am far more informed than most of my species, I simply lack the access to important background knowledge available to the Xanethi. What little I gained has been through years of hard work. -
shame. I am a pc user, but still.
-
I find that creepy for some reason.

This is very nice. *Is going to give it to friends* I noticed that I had read most of the books under the sci-fi space military branch, I wonder what that means?

Ambro tries to dodge, but ends up taking a hit on the side. All across Ambro's side, his skin is reddened and bubbled and the armor is in tatters. This form is now useless. I really didn't want to use the next form, its no fun. Ambro shifts, the knives and silk disappear, and a red bird-like sigil appears in his left eye. The Geass form. Ambro looks into the eyes of the snake, just about to strike. Ambro smiles and speaks, "Attack the woman, then die."
-
Wow you got busy. EDIT: I would like to point out that the back-story related by Ambro is false. Mostly.

A Tale of Investigations, Intrigue, and Irritating Princes
Emeralis00 replied to KChan's topic in Eternal Conflux
The other person in the corner, who had been quiet spoke up. Krh'rhl considered the question. She can't know. There is no way for her to know. Why did she ask the question? Krh'rhl speaks, "Possibly. As I do not know the exact cause of the burned out nodes, I am unable to find environments where the situation is similar. It took me many years to gather what I have already told you, starting from absolutely no information other than there is a problem." I cannot tell anyone about the Harmonies. -
A Tale of Investigations, Intrigue, and Irritating Princes

Krh'rhl had noticed Kierra doing something with the nearest node, but his senses only registered a brief fluttering at the surface of the ley-lines. The man had finished his explanation and Krh'rhl replied, "thank you. That does explain why I was brought here." Krh'rhl notices Kierra opening her eyes and whispering something in a language he doesnt know. However, because the woman says nothing else, Krh'rhl says nothing. I wonder what she is doing. I will have to ask later. -
Ambrosius "Oh my." The comment is flat and monotone. Ambro feels Damnation too. Sh isn't pulling it out though, and the effect spreads. Now I need to wait for it to hit her heart and hope my healing factor can hold out long enough. Drawing Pain, it had reappeared in its sheath, and an ordinary long knife Ambro rolls out of the way. The snake strikes the location he had just left. Too bad the other three knives are ordinary, Acid would be really nice right about now. Ambro leaps forward and to the left, throwing Pain at the snake while trying to throw the ordinary knife at the woman from his Damned arm. With a rolling tumble Ambro turns and draws another ordinary knife and Silence.

A Tale of Investigations, Intrigue, and Irritating Princes
Emeralis00 replied to KChan's topic in Eternal Conflux
"I was not made at the time, but we had been monitoring humankind and your struggles with the Ohnyrek, and we where surprised at how fast your species had advanced in between our checks. However, your advancement soon left your control and we entreated Xan and his students to grow in wisdom as well as power. The warning was unheeded." Inwardly Krh'rhl sighs. This should be common knowledge among them. They should have studied their mistakes and taught them to their children, so that their species would not repeat it. "The most direct result would have been the death of two nodes. I truly do not know more. On my way here the townspeople spoke of a prophecy. Can you explain?"
