Probably those who have a mask, those with funds to get a new mask could get the burst mask. That’s a 25% chance the Elim dies, and the only blue mask that lets you target is the roleblock one, so a Villager could counterclaim and we’d narrow down Elims to one of 2 people. So I’d say the people with blue masks. That said, I did not get the postman’s mask, for now I will refrain from saying whether I got a different mask or not

Dying to get PMs? Sounds like something Doc would do. Especially since it’s not permanent ————— Kieran walked towards the mask shop, he’d wanted the postman’s hat, after all, he could really be jobless for the 5th year in a row. Adventuring didn’t really count after all. Still, surprisingly there was competition. Who knew delivering mail was such a competitive field? But Kieran knew he’d do it the best. He’d deliver that mail on time, to the best of his ability

I’ve only played resistance a few times, but then, always the feature that was the best was the ability to approve/deny missions(in the version I played) and without that, there isn’t a lot to go on. I do agree that for now, it’s just spinning. And yeah. We are(at least for this loop) You’re already to good with PMs, getting paid for it is too much. as it is, we have to wait for NK. Though, I’m not sure that that will give us anything. We don’t know if the NK is a clear or not, and yes they know who is who, but they don’t know who’s gotten what masks, since they haven’t been assigned. So they can’t target power roles either. What this means Basically, out of everyone here, about 3 people have claimed a specific mask to go for. The only thing I think the NK could tell us is what mask the Elims want. Postman has been claimed a lot, and so if Me, Doc, or TUM get NKed, that indicates that someone wanted that mask and was trying to eliminate competition for it. The only problem with this is that this only applies if they NK one of three people, out of 16.

I thought it was per message, not per player. I’ll go check the wording again, but I thought that if I sent 4 msg, the Postman would get paid 4. I highly doubt it would be included if there wasn’t some way of reaching it Edit: Hoidslayer, I pinged the wrong person, I was trying to Ping TUM, but forgot who I was trying to ping

I forgot about that, but I’d prefer not to make it that far. At that point, as Wonko pointed out earlier, someone could have the DF mask at that point(if they didn’t die and got the right masks for it) and that places everything on whoever gets it. Okay, I can see that, but this is all based on our ability to exe a villager(not a situation I’ve been in before without knowing who’s who). Ah, okay, I have been promoting a plan of action, so I thought you were too.

Whether we throw this loop or not, the Elims can mess it up either way. If we try and throw, one of them can just deep wolf, get killed by NK or they can just not NK. If we try to solve they just go as normal. Added to the fact that we won’t know what happens till the loop ends, I advocate for actually solving. If it doesn’t go to plan, we’ve hard cleared 5ish people. But, if we succeed, we’ve made progress towards our victory(remember, we can only lose one boss mask) so I think we have to try and solve. plus we get a smaller pool that we know has at least one elim Edit: in case I wasn’t clear enough with the only losing one mask. There’s 4 loops, we need to win 3 to get majority. This is the easiest one to win. As opposed to loop 3 or 4, and I’d prefer to save our loss till then when it’s harder to win the loop

First off, you’re right, my math was definitely off(I was giving people about twice as many rupees as they could actually get without postman or bunny) so yeah you’re right about that. my problem with the rules isn’t that there’s less information inherently. My problem is that the roles switch basically. Normally, if an Elim claims role, you can sometimes catch them in a later turn because the results of that role never happened. Here this is impossible, as the roles change. It’s impossible to check someone on their role without a counterclaim. That’s what I’m concerned about. Now and most of loop 2 are the only times without roles like that available(I don’t think any of the blue masks will massively change stuff other than postman, which is universal) as such now is our best time to figure Elims out Edit @Hoid Slayer I assume you’re perfect requirements include everyone sending a lot of PMs
-
I think yall are both forgetting that it’s mine, obviously. But it seems we’ll have access to PMs(sort of) every loop with how many people are going for it. with the clarifications on rupees and how many you can earn and all that, it seems like a pretty tame loop 1 and loop 2. I’d like to repeat again that this is our best chance of finding Elims. We win the loop if an Elim dies, so, with our exe and the Elims NK that means if we win, that’s an Elim in 7 people, or, assuming they don’t NK an Elim, 3 people who are possibly Elims. As I mentioned though, once red masks are in play, information gathering will be a lot harder with the amount of bluffing and fake info that can happen(not saying it won’t happen now). This first cycle is our best chance, which means we have to make the most optimal moves we can for voting later on

Kieran ran his shirt through the water. It wasn’t that he hated doing this, more that there were so many other things to do. So many people were here in the city. And yet, he still had to wash laundry. ”At least” he spoke to himself, “I’m almost done, then I’ll be able to look to my hearts content” Kieran had always liked following people, it was interesting to see what they did when they thought they weren’t be watched. Some people were very much against it, but It had saved his life before, so Kieran ignored them.
-
Gotcha, so loop 2 will probably be mostly tame as well… that means we have a bit more time. *For those wondering why I’m saying that things get screwed with Power Roles is because they can give information, and it’s easy to bluff and because it changes each loop there’s no way to verify with power roles of your own. So people will start justifying with roles that they don’t have. Which is why I think now is the best time to figure this out

Alright, so, as a 4 day/Night for the first loop. That’s 80 rupees. Assuming someone gets bunny(after Archer’s remark, someone probably will) that could be bumped up so that we could potentially be going against a silver mask loop 2, or, the gold mask loop 3. As such, this loop will probably be relatively tame. But loop 2 onwards definitely will not, people will definitely have enough to purchase high level masks, and so we’ll have at least two power roles per cycle. That means now is, despite the lack of information, our best bet of finding elims. It’s pure logic, with no PMs to complicate things(looking at you Doc) *This is all dependent on me being right on how the rupees work. @Amanuensis is it that we get a max(without considering Bunny or Postman) of 5 rupees at the end of a day, and then 5 at the end of a night. Or is it 10 at each like I thought. If the former that’ll probably mean loop 3, not 2 is when power roles will start appearing in mass

Kieran leaned back in the plaza, watching the people pass. It was hard to decide who to follow. He’d never seen so many people here. After all, who thought tourists would want to visit the place they did their laundry? He snorted, muttering to himself “Fools must assume everything is magical here… Fools they are” Kieran glanced into his satchel at his side, “I suppose I was like them once… before…” Sighing, he waded into the pond

Right now it just seems to be an information gathering stage. We can’t vote yet, so right now seems to be just a way to Rp for rupees, getting a mask, and making sure everyone understands the rules. I’m not sure how much information we can get right now, with no way of applying pressure. Especially since PMs are limited

Just a heads up everyone, I am going to try to be very aggressive this game(see how it turns out). Idk how well I’ll do at it though, so most likely It’ll probably fade as time goes on, but idk. Do what you will with this information Edit: (after I can be active, so like, Sunday-ish) Edit 2: I’ll be active right before rollover n1, and then a bit into the beginning of d2 before having to go to a dance. Before that Itll be very sporadic. But after it should be good

Thank you for this, I would not have understood what was going on otherwise.

I can also be a full player if you need me to, I’ll just be a bit less active than normal, and probably won’t understand the rules as well
