  1. Favorite character at his best is 100% Adolin, but overall, definitely Wayne (Adolin had no real development first 3 books) (Also,The Stick is close second for both catergories) Leas fav. character is Miles, since he was the big bad for the first book in basically a new series, and seemed really shallow. Fav. food is Gulab Jamun
  2. some context: I compete in math team competitions. when solving an eq. w/ pi, you almost always have to put it in terms of pi or use 3.14 or 22/7 for pi. knowing more digits than that will likely never help. but sqrt problems need a variety of answer types. knowing plenty of digits can help you brute force problems even if you don't know the trick. specifically, I had to solve (sqrt2)^sqrt2 to 3 decimals, and I had no idea abt the log rules to do it. but brute force... This might be a bad example, I spent literally half of the time on a fifty-question test on this one question trying to brute force it, but I still got it right, and got 6th individual at the comp overall
  3. Nope! I only have pi up to 3.14159265358979323846264 e up to 2.182818284590 sqrt 3 up to 1.732050807 sqrt 5 up to 2.236067977 and all other prime sqrts until 23 up to 5 digits past the decimal I realize now that I am very very oblivious and just wanted to brag *air juggles* wait, you COUNT THE ONES DIGIT? eww

  5. In the unreleased Interlude(which is not included because it is not entertaining to the entire populous, not because it is not canon) The Stick both makes the claim that it is a stick, and questions the fact of it's Stickness. Questioning of Identity is one of the truest, deepest expressions of individual thought, one that many great characters, such as Adolin do not approach until very well beyond their initial introduction. In fact, it could be said that The Stick has more distinct character development than many characters across the cosmere.
  6. As an entity clearly shown having individual thought, it is clearly a character, and thus a proper noun. I think I learned to capitalize proper nouns in 2nd Grade. It is no fault of your own if you have not yet gone through 2nd Grade, but the idea of not deserving capitals is ridiculous. Simply taking away capitals does not degrade a being at all. If I call you ookla the hoppy, it is no less or more degrading than calling you Ookla the Hoppy. It is simply a matter of proper orthography.
  7. A very wise flautist once told me that there was no greater mind than that of a man about to splat, and I suppose I had not really believed them until this moment, as my mind raced for a solution.
  8. Been hanging around for a couple of days, actually being active, and now I'm finally introducing me. I've read all the published Sanderson stuff that I am aware of, but nothing unpublished, so as to avoid spoilers. My Favorite is Rithmatist (Even though I read it like a long time ago) and Elantris.
  9. I Think you might've misunderstood. Your word should start with the last letter of the word before. "Youth" in this case, so, start with an H If "Yemen" counts If "Yemen" Doesn't count

    im sad

Fr. One of 3 times I actually cried over a book. the other two were the one in RoW, and the first one in Red Rising And I read A LOT of books. Like 300/year
  11. What do we actually know about dhatri? The coppermind page is tiny, and I found 1 WoB about it. I coulda swore we knew like a whole lot about it, and like I had some fairly deep world building about it in my head, but I cant find anything but that its a 12-world, its based on the Indian subcontinent, and it's got the uncorrupted spores/aether's there. I thought maybe I was remembering AoN world building, but that doesn't match at all, (and I feel like AoN is gonna be pretty far off from final aether book anyway but that's irrelevant). Any idea where i'm getting all this? Am I just Crazy? Am I searching the wrong thing?
  12. 6/10 Very Desciptive and question-invoking, but of all the possible important positions in all possible clans, top 10 boringest
  13. Absolutely! There is nothing inherently wrong with burning a cookie. The Stick takes a non-violent, non-hate stance on fire. Although It itself does not wish to be fire, it makes no express statement against fire, and it can be inferred as such that The Stick takes an indifferent, or perhaps even supportive stance on fire, as long as it causes no physical harm to the being of The Stick.
  14. True, but a big part of MoIs is based on the Identity & Public Perception of a thing. If, for example, smth is not perceived as a single object, it cannot be awakened as a single object, the parts must(usually) be awakened individually. This can also be seen in soulcasting; The Stick's Identity cannot be changed with Shallan's unskilled soulcasting, since it is so universally considered The Stick. Similarly, since, in the public mind of so many people (At least in English, on Earth) water is all the same, the water's Identity might even resist not being considered one thing by the magic, and so, in an interesting turn of events, unskilled water benders might be able to more universally control water than a more skilled water bender. Also, on a chemical level, they are both largely H2O Molecules, just some are more or less pure solutes/colloids, but I don't know how much of chemistry works in the cosmere, since subatomic particles are different there Too late
  15. Absolutely! I didn't intend to say Marsh was tortured; That's part of the contrast I was trying to highlight.
  16. At least a stick enthusiast, quoting it directly. Impossible to know more without further emphases or elaboration If the italics are intentionally placed, shows at least stickist-level stickiness, exaggerating the profoundness of the initial claim.
  17. Stick Enthusiasts - Appreciates The Stick Stickies - Aligned with The Stick, (hates Fire, appreciates continuity, etc) Stickists - Understands the great, high level analysis made by The Stick, and recognizes it as a greater level entity Stick Radiants - swear oaths to/abt stick Stick Cultists - Worships The Stick Stick Preachers - Forces/Coerces others into Stickiness levels at least that of the Stickists
