      Well lol I wasn’t getting enough sleep as is if I had the shard to try to juggle too I don’t think I would have managed 3 hours most nights

      besides are you really gonna kill me the moment I get back?

    Hello guys! It’s been a while! Boy do I have some stories to tell.

    Prob went through the most stressful moment of my life a few weeks ago

    We were at the 2nd to last comp. In the show there’s like a synth solo for about a minute

    Synth broke down

    So I said “I can play it on the marimba”

    So I pull out four mallets and start

    Aaaaaand then I’m like “ohhhh crap now the whole band is relying on my or we can’t do the show”

    I rushed like heck but we still were able to do the show so it all works out

    But beyond that there were some really tough times

    Days where I was battered enough physically, mentally, emotionally that I didn’t have the will not to have a will

    Felt like one of the heralds tbh

    Had to go though a long day only to get home and rather than actually sleeping or resting I was staying up doing homework. Bad enough I accept 4 and a half hours as still enough to function

    Buuuuuut time is a great healer and my friends are awesome so we’re fine now:D

    okay I need help here's the problem

    my friend (their human just in case you were wondering) is a big reader and loves fantasy but says they are to intimidated by the storm light archives to read any Sanderson books (I've tried to get them to read other Sanderson books first too). So how do I convince them to read a Sanderson book, any advice?

    “I can’t,” Nite whispered, preparing himself for a hit, or the unnatural pain that came when Teacher was most angry. Neither arrived.

    “Who taught you to say that?”

    “What?”

    “Who taught you to say you can’t?”

    “I don’t understand.”

    “I didn’t teach you to quit. I didn’t teach you weakness. Did someone else, or do you think you can learn on your own, that you don’t need me any longer?”

    Nite swallowed. “Your dragon is too powerful, Teacher. Maybe if I knew your secret way of taming
” the words were bitter in his mouth. Even as he said them, he knew they were wrong. 

    “Look at me,” Teacher said. Nite did. The man was tall and haughty and proud. Fluid movements and a pair of thin swords. “You don’t have my permission to die, and so there is never a reason for you to give in. I expect you to put your chin up, wipe the sweat out of your eyes, and take the next step. You’ve done worse than this. You’ve done worse than this a hundred times over. Who gave you the right to let it beat you?”

    Nite swallowed. “Nobody, Teacher.”

    “Then get up and fight. I will not be so lenient if this happens again.”

    “Thank you, Teacher.”

    Guys.

    I regret to announce that I am going to have to drastically decrease my activity levels on the shard.

    I haven’t gotten enough sleep a single day yet since the school year started and I’m storming tired

    I only have so many hours in a day and I only get to spend perhaps 2 and a half hours at home after 6:30 am, including time eating, doing homework, and practicing.

    I’m left with barely any time to wind down and I can’t magically make more time. I’ll be able to respond to pms and if I’m lucky a few threads.

    And this’ll be till November. With the exception of Sundays I just don’t have time if I want sleep. 

    I’m not going inactive, I’m gonna spend a good deal of my unwinding time on the shard but overall I just have to step back

    Thanks y’all, I’ve enjoyed being mostly active 😭

    The day has been complete I like all my teachers except my math teacher.

    also I learned something today. Apparently teachers are required by the state I live in to put up copies of the ten commandments on the walls of their classrooms so that’s pretty weird

      As I say

      “what we need is a kindergarten teacher. They’ll teach them that sharing is caring and how to compromise”

      And it’s like with religion I’ve had many meaningful discussions over religion with people of other religious views (including atheism even) and genuinely become closer because of it. Once we realized “oh wait people from other religions aren’t demons and usually are good people?” We became able to have these discussions 

      I just don’t see why we can’t do the same thing with politics 😭
